Went for lunch with my family. There was a slight mishap with the soup, where the first bowls came out cold, and the second ones were hot but only half full. That aside, the atmosphere was beautiful, the servers extremely friendly and helpful, and our mains and puddings were beautiful. The two salmon starters we had we're also delicious. If it weren't for the soup it would have been 5 stars!

The Culloden hotel is just outside Belfast city centre on the way to Bangor. Once you get there the staff are very welcoming and helpful. It's a beautiful hotel with well kept gardens and a lovely view of the lake. The rooms are spacious and very clean. So if yourself and your partner and looking for a getaway for pampering and luxury this is the place.

The location of this hotel is truly splendid. The grounds are immaculate. The view of the Lough is really lovely. Staff, for the most part, are excellent, with a shout out to Arron who was front of house and Michael in the restaurant. Both of whom were completely customer focused, charming and engaging and the hotel would be lost without them. Fine dining in Vespers excellent. The one really down-side was the room. Size wise it was fine but it was dark and we overlooked roof-tops. Light was always on and when you consider the views that were on offer it was most disappointing. I mentioned this to the Receptionist whose comment was "Oh dear". No offer to check and see if there was an alternative. If the hotel was full she would no doubt have mentioned this. So I expect it wasn't it. I didn't labor the point which on reflection I should have. Poor show and bad customer service.

The Culloden estate and spa is a beautiful place, it's views are just stunning. We stayed here on a night away and I was just blown away from the moment I walked into the place. The staff are just so friendly and can't do enough for you And when we got up to our room I was even more blown away it was just gorgeous and the views out over Belfast lough were just beautiful. We had our evening meal in the Mitre restaurant during our stay and it was heaven sheer fine dining. The bed was really comfy. I just can not fault this place at all it's 1st class.

An amazing stay. The staff was remarkable and were extremely willing to help with any request. The food was wonderful.
Clifford greeted us wearing his top hat. Sad that he is retiring today. He and his team made us feel so welcome. Strongly recommend the the Culloden.

I have spent many months in the Culloden and find it to be one of the finest hotels in the world. IT is not only the accommodations, but the fabulous staff and fine dining. If your travels bring you into Northern Ireland make the Culloden your first choice of a place to stay.

Beautiful grounds on arrival. A very pleasant Doorman who kindly guided us to reception. Friendly reception staff who were very helpful and eager to assist. Room was immaculate and had lovely views to the substantial grounds outside. A large Samsung LED TV with all of the Freeview channels available. The Bed was probably the most comfortable of any Hotel have stayed in, my bad back was well rested. WiFi speed was very good and signal strength decent. We had bar snacks in the Crozier Lounge early in the afternoon in a relaxed environment and a fantastic evening meal and good Wine at the Cultra Inn, compliments to the Chef for a delicious Sirloin Steak. We will will certainly be back and I am glad I gave the Merchant a miss this time to try the Culloden.

This hotel is just 5 miles away from the city, few minutes drive to the airports and fantastic beaches. Without a doubt, it is a perfect place if you want to escape the busy city life but without going deep down into the woods.

I stayed at this hotel very recently.

I stayed at this hotel very recently.
It was a beautiful stay, i enjoyed looking around the grounds in the evening.
The beds are just lovely, i had an amazing sleep.
All staff where lovely, my room made quite a few calls to, reception, the bar, and room service. Every call was lovely and helped quick.
The reception staff are lovely on arrival and we got taken to our room.
The lift is also beautiful with the glass doors looking at the views outside.
Breakfast was a good choice, ranging from fruits to a fry up.
The spa was an lovely atmosphere and the staff where very kind and also helpful.
Before my arrival i read the reviews (as i do with any hotel i am staying over night in) and all of the negative reviwes i do disagree with, the stay was lovely, even though people are allowed their own opinion, there is nothing bad about this hotel.
It would be a perfect gift for someone and i hope to go back soon, when i am next visiting Ireland from where i live currently.
Thank you to all staff at Culloden Estate and Spa.

From the moment we drove through the gate the experience began. There is a certain attention to detail that makes this place special. The staff immediately put you at ease and make you feel like a VIP. The service was above and beyond. Every member of staff was polite courteous and attentive without being overbearing. You felt you had space but at the same stage anything you needed was immediately attended to. As we stepped out of the car and popped the boot to get our bags, we were greeted and our bags were carried for us. At the entrance the doors were opened and we were given a warm welcome to the hotel. We checked in and the Concierge Aaron gave us a tour of the hotel and escorted us to our beautiful room. As he left he advised if there was anything whatsoever that has not already been provided not to hesitate to contact him. This man is so good at his job it actually made me wonder is there such a thing as charm school and if so he has a masters. The first evening we had a meal in the Cultra which is slightly more casual than the main house however the service and standard were still maintained. On the second day my partner proposed to me as we took a walk at the nearby Cave Hill. When we returned the staff seemed genuinely delighted for us and really made it special, congratulating us with glasses of Champagne. And when I say Champagne it was actual Champagne not Prosecco. We had a Spa treatment booked which was 80 minutes of absolute heaven. Afterward we had dinner in the main house. The food was off the richter 10/10. Cooked with love. We had 2 waiters who attended us. Both their names escape me they were the most pleasant jolly people. Again charming, witty and engaging. They knew when to approach and when to give us space. We had a celebration cocktail afterwards as a pianist played the most beautiful relaxing music. Now Ive read a couple of comments and noted the complaints on pricing which I would like to address. Firstly - This is a beautiful castle, the upkeep and maintenance must cost a fortune. Secondly - This is a 5* hotel where you are waited on hand and foot your wish is there command. That kind of service costs money. Its what makes it so special. I would 100% recommend this for a special occasion. We had the most beautiful weekend. Thank you to all the amazing staff that work there.

For the first time since I began going to the Culloden I felt that the service was way below their reputable high standard and I also found a piece of plastic in my main meal. However I didn't pay for my course at all, the manager was more than helpful but still after having so many wonderful experiences at the hotel this has seriously put a dampener on their usual top class.

Very nice scenery, nice venue, some of the rooms have quite the disappointing view however. The restaurant is ok, you do need to order the tasting menu in advance. There's also a pub on the grounds which serves good steaks.

We attended the Culloden for a wedding. It is beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. Food for the reception was excellent but service could be improved. Overall an excellent but pricy venue for wedding and events.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Culloden Estate and Spa. Our room was beautiful and we loved sitting in the lobby area by the fire in the evening. Had an excellent meal at the Mitre restaurant and a less fancy but very good lunch the next day at the Cultra Inn down the hill which is also part of the Culloden Estate properties. The attention to detail was very impressive - service, decor, cleanliness, ammenities - delivered with polish and aplomb. We felt like we were being welcomed into a royal estate but without pretense or stuffiness. Whoever hires and trains the staff understands how to recognize, select and develop class . Top notch. Whether you are a well-heeled sophisticate with high expectations or an average person looking for some pampering, you will enjoy the relaxed but impeccable attention, the quality of the buildings, grounds, services and the experience of Culloden Estate and Spa.
