Stopped in for lunch- sat at the bar and was immediately greeted, served water, and given a menu. My order was taken very quickly. They do not have a lunch menu, so do not expect lower prices or smaller portions for lunch. There really is nothing bad on the menu- according to the 3 men sitting around me that all appeared to be regulars. Lots of people ordering food for pick up, so that's always a good sign.

There is a great beer selection- haven't seen any other place like it in North County. Closer to what you would find at Itap or Global Brew- lots of local and craft taps. There are 3 beers brewed in house. You can order in a flight or by the pint.

I ordered the house salad- the house dressing was wonderful. Too thick to pour on, but thin enough that it could be spread around with my fork. It is served on the side so you can add as much as needed ($3). I also ordered the beer cheese soup ($5) and it was the BEST beer cheese soup I have ever had. Perfect amount of heat, lots of ooey cheese, and there was sausage in the soup as well to add a bit of heft. Will order again for sure.

I arrived on a Wednesday night with a group of friends. It was difficult to find a parking place so we waited for someone to leave. Once inside we were offered a choice of two tables, one in a noisy overheated crowded room and the other in the much cooler quieter bar area. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and seemed to be very attentive to our needs. The chef salad was light on the meat and egg but I actually prefer it that way. The house Italian dressing was thicker than expected and tasty. The house wine was well priced and a generous size. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals. If it hadn't been so noisy hot and crowded I would have rated it higher.

Ordered the baked mostaccioli. I was craving pasta, and decided on one of the old St. Louis standbys. It's not really baked mostaccioli unless it's covered in provel and topped with a meatball. And that's exactly what I got. Cugino's was a fair rendition of what I was expecting: A sodden mess of gooey goodness.

First of all, it's much more accurately described as a bar (as it's named irl) than an Italian restaurant (as this Google listing has it). Very little pasta, atmosphere somewhere between bar and sports bar. Looks like there are some fun burger options. There are several things on the menu described as Cajun or blackened, which this place interprets as "slightly sweet, and burned until black", rather than what "blackened" typically means in terms of spices.

Mostly, just not my cup of tea -- guessing other folks might be into it. Just go expecting a fun bar serving slightly adventurous American bar food, not "Italian restaurant".

PS: Very limited veg options

Cugino's for company lunch, 20 people. Wait time was reasonable. Good ambience, clean, good neighborhood. Food and service were excellent. Would totally recommend this place. House salad dressing the best ever! The only thing I would add is spaghetti and meatballs to their menu and garlic bread with their pasta dishes. I had Cajon pasta and it was superb. Bravo Cugino's!

Local beer selection is put together with thought. The barkeeps are educated and serious about their job. 6 tv's all different and ready for any sporting event you're looking for. This ain't your average watering hole and grub stop. The separate restaurant has a more welcoming for families and simple dining experiences.

Dont eat the wings! I am a huge fan of wings. I will try wings almost everywhere I go but this time it was a bad choice. The breaded bone in wings were not good, plain and simple. The "award winning" wings sauce Hot Honey is in my opinion bland and not hot at all. Maybe there other sauces are better but I won't be giving the a try anytime soon.

They've recently changed their menu, so I can't speak for everything on it now. Aside from all the new items they've added, you can't go wrong with the steak sandwich or the pizza, or most anything they have. I don't think I've had anything I didn't like. They make great drinks and have an extensive array of beer on tap and many micro brews too. Late night Friday and Saturday generally has a younger type crowd packing it in. We go there with our family all the time and a few times without the kids and it's always great. They have a side that is more of a restaurant feel, they have a more sports bar atmosphere on the other side with an additional room to hold even more people. Great for bigger groups.

Excellent food, fair prices, great beer selection, friendly staff, conveniently located to my work. The chicken modiga sandwich is real tasty. A great, unique experience and an easy recommendation.

Great food, beer, and service. Never had a bad experience. If I had to nitpick, I would say their beers are a little pricey for the size of the pours compared to some other breweries, but it's hard to complain.

I just tried this place for the 1st time after living in Hazelwood for 7 years. And can I tell you the food is amazing and the customer service is the best I have seen in awhile. Please come and try the large selection of beer. And the Cajun pasta is to die for.

Nice hometown place that has been there for quite a long time & happy that they still are. . They have great flavor chicken & steak dishes- Very tasty !! An interesting twist on nachos, very different and so good. More than enough for 4 people. Can have simpler less expensive dishes or sandwiches as well. Love the outdoor seating option & cocktails are good too ! Outdoor seating is nothing fancy, but in this area it's hard to come by & thats why we like it there too. I think its good for families as well as couples of any age & a place to gather with friends. Service was good for us & we really like the laid back atmosphere.
