Cubby s has a great atmosphere and even better food!

Love the sweet potato fries here. Yummy! It can get loud and there are always lots of sports options to watch on the TVs but it's a fun atmosphere.

The best in town by far. Amazing space inside and out. The patio is def one of a kind and a blast. The food is great - tons of options. Sports - dates - relaxing outside - it really has it all. A gem anywhere - Brookings included.

My family went out late afternoon today to celebrate the birth of a new baby in our family. The sever was good as she was training another server. Why not on a Tuesday as the crowd was very small?. We ordered the very food this joint is known for; burgers, pitas, grilled cheese (for the little one). We ordered and were very please with the timing between the drinks, order and delivery of the food. The food came to our table 20 minutes after ordering. The food must have been cooked hot and sat on the stainless steel station in the kitchen for 15 minuted before it was delivered to our table. In a town that has faculty teaching the science on feeding cattle, why was our burger pre-frozen and then over cooked to the point of being embarrassing to this state? Now management might come back and say, "Well, you ate everything didnt you?" Yes, we were hungry after spending hours upon hours in the hospital waiting room to meet the new member of our family. The Wild Mushroom and Provolone Burger, the Pesto Pita and the other meals were served cold. My son's Grilled Cheese sandwich arrived with toasted bread hiding unmelted American cheese. I know it was Tuesday night. School is out. But why did we sit down as a table of 5 (plus ordering four more meals to go) and shell out over $120 for cold fries and burgers? Joke is on us apparently.

2 November 2018 - I haven't been to Cubby's since I graduated from SDSU in 2013. It was every bit as tasty as I remember it. The boneless wings are still the best in town. I'm not sure how Buffalo Wild Wings stays open. It's such an unpretentious atmosphere. I sat at the bar and everyone working was prompt and courteous. I had a great chat with a retired gentleman in his 70s, I'm pretty sure I turned him into a libertarian, and we solved all of America's problems. Just a typical Saturday night.

Excellent philly cheesesteak sandwich. Excellent service also.

Always enjoy Cubbys. Our waitress today was especially awesome. Thanks for a lovely visit while dropping our youngest off for his freshman year at SDSU!

Food is good and atmosphere is great. Large portions and average prices. They are typically very busy so service tends to be slow. Still recommend.

I always love coming to Cubby's, friendly, clean, good food & I will always visit when I'm in Brookings.

Cubby's has been my favorite for years! No longer live in Brookings but every time I go back I have to go to Cubby's! Highly recommend the chislic!

Generally spot on. Tonight the wings were off point and fatty. The other 3 had a good meal. Very good server, great beer menu!

First time there. Big place. Lots of sports on the many TVs. Busy on a week night but service was quick and good. Food was good. I'll go again when back in town.

Neat atmosphere inside, cool patio on the roof. They have a lot of beers on tap and an extensive list of hard liquor. Usually pretty busy and a big place. Food is average.

Cubbys rooftop is the best place to go in the summer for food and drinks!

For Brookings, great food, friendly staff, staff hussles, great variety, top three in Brookings.

Slow service, if you have that many tables you should keep up with service. Good food

We had Philly cheese steaks they we're as good as Phil's in Pennsylvania just loaded with steak creamy cheese peppers onions on an amazing bun served with the best waffle fries ever and dipping sauce for fries
Service was decent could've been a little friendlier as slow as it was but over all
My wife and I loved it and plan on going again and would recommend it to anyone else who is in the area they quite the menu

Great food, I had a burger when I last went and was really good they also serve waffle fries which is amazing. Outdoor and indoor seating it is a sport restaurant so many TV's playing different games and can get busy. Nice and welcoming staff.

Nice atmosphere, got good service. Best part about here my boyfriend and I were hardly interrupted while into a conversation I've been to other places and they check up way too much and you feel bothered.

Stopped by here passing through town. If I could give zero stars I would. French dip is probably the worst I've EVER had!!! Nobody came back to check on us otherwise I would have sent the whole thing back!! Luckily my husband was able to at least stomach it. Took a while to get even serviced in the 1st place! I guess I will give at least one star because the waffle fries were great

Not a bad bar at all, but the cheese balls taste a little off.

The menu is too big to specialize in anything, and the food is not always on par. They do have alot of tables and televisions however, and friendly staff.

Poorly seasoned and over cooked burgers. We won't be coming back, trust me and don't bother going here

The only drawback was they did have the Cubs game on one of the screens . Being a Cardinals family it turned my stomach a little.

I used to love cubbys. However last 2 times I have gone have been horrible experiences. Left there both times saying never again. The place seems to have gotten too big for what the servers/kitchen can handle. Waited 45 minutes for cold/ mediocre food and a terrible waitress. Didn t feel she was deserving of any tip husband and I asked for a high chair for my 1 year old more then once and never got it. He ended up sitting on a bar stool not even able to see the food he had in front of him. Our waitress came around once every 25 mins. When we got our bill considering it was all children under age 5 and 2 adults we had over 9 dollars in gratuity automatically charged. So made sense she knew she was getting a tip anyways. Long story short this place has gone way down hill and won t be returning again.
