Great safety training staff, I never get board hearing how you can knock out all of your front teeth by yanking on an extension cord to unplug it. Or the instructor that tell's you the first thing you do when getting on a forklift is to PUT DOWN YOUR BEER. Love this place. Keep it classy San Diego

About CSATF

CSATF: A Non-Profit Organization Serving the Motion Picture and Television Industry

CSATF, or Contract Services Administration Trust Fund, is a non-profit organization that provides a range of programs and services to support the motion picture and television industry. Established in 1971, CSATF has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of this dynamic industry by providing essential resources to its members.

The organization's primary objective is to administer various programs that benefit both employers and employees in the entertainment industry. These programs include health and welfare benefits, pension plans, training programs, safety initiatives, and more. CSATF also offers administrative services such as payroll processing for productions.

One of the most significant benefits offered by CSATF is its health plan. The plan covers medical expenses for eligible participants including actors, directors, writers, crew members, and other professionals working in film or television production. The plan includes comprehensive coverage for hospitalization expenses as well as prescription drugs.

Another important program administered by CSATF is its pension plan. This program provides retirement benefits to eligible participants who have worked in the entertainment industry for a certain number of years. The pension plan ensures that individuals who have dedicated their careers to this field can retire with financial security.

In addition to these essential programs, CSATF also offers training opportunities through its Education & Training Department. This department provides courses on various topics related to film production such as safety training courses like CPR/First Aid/AED certification classes; technical skills like rigging certification; craft-specific classes like hair styling or makeup artistry; business skills like accounting or budgeting; creative skills like screenwriting or directing workshops - all designed specifically for those working within this unique industry.

CSATF also plays an important role in promoting safety on set through its Safety & Health Department which develops guidelines for safe work practices on set while providing resources such as safety bulletins with tips on how best practices can be implemented across different types of productions.

Moreover, Contract Services Administration Trust Fund has established itself as an advocate for diversity within the entertainment industry through initiatives such as Women's Committee which promotes gender equality among all levels of employment within film/TV production companies while encouraging women's participation at every level from entry-level positions up through executive leadership roles where they are underrepresented compared with men counterparts.
