Only complaint was quality of some of the towels i tech in room, and further concerns about being charged for said towels, water temperature and pressure wasn t phenomenal either. But all in all I would stay here again no problem.

Very nice facilities, pool and hot tub were very clean. The weight room has very nice new equipment. The restaurant had great food. Although if you get room service dont order drinks they are $3 cans go down to lobby and go to pepsi machine($1.50 20oz) by garage elevator not the snack shop. But if thats all i can say bad then thats nothing. It was a great stay and staff was very accommodating.

This was a very beautiful hotel. Everything was very clean, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Bathroom was modern and spotless. There was also a nice view from my room overlooking the river and some of the downtown buildings. My only complaints would be paying for parking and how slow the internet is if you aren't willing to pay extra.

Stayed in two queen room. Very friendly staff. Room was near perfect. One of the 3 elevators wasn't working which led to a bit of a traffic jam. Pet friendly. We paid only $75 for the pet fee.

Great hotel, very close to downtown and points of interest areas, shuttle personnel were very nice and will drive you out to a 2-mile radius, and staff was very professional. The only issue I had was that I was overcharged by $100 more by accident (currently working on solving this issue).

Our family had a wonderful 2-night stay this past weekend. The hotel actually just turned one-year-old the day we checked in (July 27th), and you can tell that the hotel is newer. The rooms are spacious, our bed was very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful/warm/efficient. We actually picked the hotel as it was a little bit more affordable than other more expensive hotels in the area, and are so glad we decided to try it out! There is a bit of construction going on outside, but we didn't hear anything, and Richmond is undergoing a lot of building, so this is to be expected. Parking is $15/day, which also appears to be standard. The hotel is within walking distance of the Canal, Shockoe Bottom and the rest of the Downtown area. There is also a free shuttle to anywhere in the 2-mile immediate area, which was helpful. My husband loved their free cookies at the front desk. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel. They are doing construction right outside so it is a little difficult to figure out how to get to the hotel but not impossible. Because I drove around for a few minutes before actually finding the entrance the lady at the front desk was kind enough to comp the parking for me. And when I got to the room I realized that the mini fridge was not cold. I called the front desk and within 5 minutes someone from the hotel was at my room to replace the fridge. And the bed was so comfortable that I did not want to get up the next day to check out. I also enjoy that the check out time is noon. A lot of hotels have check out at 11 am and that hour makes all the difference, especially if you have been drinking the night before.

I was booked at this hotel by my educational association which paid for a one night stay. I extended the stay a second night and told the hotel that I was responsible for the second night. The room rate was $145.49 and then I was supposed to pay for parking which came to $57.92. The total amount I was to be charged was $203.41. They originally charged me $464 which they immediately reversed. Then a charge of $187.61 appeared followed by a charge of $203.41 and then a charge of $145.49 Total out of my account was $536.51. Their explanations for this do not make sense. I was told that all of this was temporary authorizations that would drop off my account. They didn't even give us the room we booked which was a king size room. My husband and I ended up with a room with two full beds. This is the second time the Marriott chain has done this to me. Be careful with Marriott.

What I hoped for:

What I hoped for:
A nicely appointed room with a great view
What I got:
A room with no pillows, a clogged shower drain, and a view of a construction site.
I love a great hotel room, even in my own home town. We have relatives staying at our house, so the hubs and I decided to book a stay at the new Delta Hotel downtown. Sadly, I think it was the most disappointing stay at any Marriott property ever.
While I can forgive someone forgetting to put pillows in our room, we also didn't have any kind of booklet or information about the hotel/surrounding area. Whereas I know the area, I don't know the hotel, and didn't have any idea where the restaurant/bar, pool, or any other amenities were located (not obvious from the lobby).
The worst issue was by far the disgusting clogged shower drain. I was really excited to take a relaxing shower with the dual shower-heads, etc., but once the water started building up, I had to quickly get out before it flooded the bathroom! Once we pried up the metal piece sitting over the drain, we saw the NASTY hair/dirt/whatever of many, many prior guests. Talk about gross. When we told the front desk, they offered to have someone come take a look (no thanks at 9 PM) and a free breakfast (which we had no interest in).
Just a really disappointing stay. If you plan a trip here, make sure to ask for a river-view room (or at least specify one not directly across from a construction site), and as soon as you get to your room, make sure you have pillows and a functioning shower!

For what you pay for a room, breakfest should be included. 18.50 per person when you already paid 150.00 for the room and 15.00 for parking. I will never stay again at this average Hotel. Over priced for me and my family never again.

Nice staff until something goes wrong with your stay. We had an unfortunate night at this Delta hotel when the fire alarm went off at 5am. The staff was unreachable by phone, guest had to travel up to 14 floors down to find out it was a false fire alarm. There was no apology and no discount for the inconvenience to the hotel guests. Will skip hotel the next business trip.
Otherwise, clean room and convenient parking options.

I wasn't extremely happy with the hotel. I expected more for the money spent over the weekend. #1 upon arrival, I witnessed someone slip and fall on the loose carpet set in front of the elevator. Once the incident happened the problem was fixed as I saw someone put tape under the carpet for a better hold. #2 my daughter stepped in a glob of either human or dog feces when she stepped out our in the parking we had to pay for each day. #3 excited about the beautiful pool they had, we had a huge disappointment when we couldn't get in because it was iced cold. The hot tub was just luke warm. I wouldn't stay again.

First wrong room, meaning someone was in the room. Then discussion about empty room and still got to look at construction versus the water. Oh well it's Friday what a Great Day to be Alive.. it is Well.

Very nice hotel. The room had not been stocked/replenished with cups/glasses or coffee. Too many flies in the restaurant and the waitress didn't know what a double shot was but other than that, it was a very nice hotel.

Was there for a meeting and stayed overnight. It was clean and comfortable. There was construction across the street, but there wasn't any associated noise. Despite the construction and the rain, good city views.

I travel ~75% a year for work.

I travel ~75% a year for work.
I've stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions.
On the first visit, only cold water was available in the mornings.
During the second stay, only cold water was available in the mornings.
And lastly, on the third occasion, only cold water was available in the mornings.
The issue of no hot water was reported to the hotel associates each time. If there was hot water in my hotel room, I'd consider adjusting my rating to 5/5.
