The most luxurious hotel I've seen in New Zealand. When there were a couple of unavoidable issues in my room, the staff was quick to respond, and the manager moved me to an upgrade to compensate for my trouble. Highly recommended.
They gave us hand-written card and gift for our honeymoon. To be honest, I don't care if there's gift but I like to hear congratulations in person or receiving a card, the fact that they had noted it was our honeymoon was sweet. They also upgraded our room with nice night view. The room was spacious, came with coffee machine, good firm bed, lots of power point, tv with lots of channels. Breakfast was tasty, especially the pancakes cooked on request. Bad: no bathtub, free wifi wasn't working(low connection) in room, my partner got slight allergic reaction to bed dust

Very good restaurant. I just thought it was weird that one of the waitresses spilled water on my table, said oops, but then proceeded not to clean it up. Very good food and nice cocktails. A bit pricey though.
My stay was also very nice. Everything was great actually apart from that weird incident where I was stuck with a wet table for the rest of the evening.
Awesome hotel! The front desk staff was so helpful. Especially Hayden, he helped us find some beautiful adventures! The rooms just smelled good and were technical advanced.
We had an excellent 5 day stay at Crowne Plaza Christchurch. The staff were freindly, helpful and more than competent with all our requests. The room was well appointed, modern and clean. The location is great and I would recommend to others. My only disappointment was the creditcard surcharge we were charged on departure. I use a mastercard debit card to pay for all our expenses while on holidays and have never been charged a credit card surcharge using this method.
Beutiful hotel immaculatly presented, breakfast food and service is fantastic. My only negative would be poor housekeeping in our junior suite. Used cups and glasses were not removed each day and the bed not completely made and other minor issues. However I would still stay here again.
Prime location with great service and accomadations. The fitness center is quite minimal but is open 24 hours! The breakfast buffet was also fairly basic, but tasty and unlimited.
Bar was great, lovely staff. Restaurant was brilliant. WiFi on the upper floors was very intermittent.

The Hotel is in the center of Christchurch. Der staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and modern furnished, however the rooms are pourly soundproofed. I also missed an airport shuttle.

Great hotel. Excellent location and very tasteful. The breakfast is hearty and excellent. The room is large, with a soft bed and good pillows. There is a large closet, plenty of mirror, ironing board and even an umbrella for the hoapedes. The bathroom is very good with an excellent shower. The opening hours of the hotel restaurant are very limited and close early for a hotel. The reception is friendly and fast.
We had a fantastic room with amazing features. We had a choice of 3 pillows of differing firmness and the room was incredibly silent throughout the stay. City views are great for a nightime view of Christchurch's star like streetscape. We had breakfast buffet included, which has a on demand cook to prepare fresh eggs and pancakes, delicious. There is a lot of construction around the hotel but this doesn't effect access other than the tour team doesnt currently stop directly in front of the hotel.
Poor bed, terrible pillows, convoluted lighting system, no dedicated shuttle. Had to reset keys.

Traffic was a nightmare and handy parking was impossible, had to go elsewhere.
Rooms appear quite new, as I hear this was previously an office block. Heating in rooms is too limited to 24 degrees C. It was freezing outside and my Malaysian Chinese partner was still cold in the room. She was not happy. TV volume is also electronically limited. Check in was a slow process. Also car parking is available as mentioned on the booking website, however it is outdoors, uncovered AND I was surprised to learn I had to pay for it! $15 a day. I find that unacceptable. Place looked clean and new. Our room was basic as chosen, so no issues there. Probably good for a business traveller, and located close to the city centre.
Honestly the best hotel in Christchurch city, the food is delicious and the beds are very comfortable! A+
Been a few times recommended, the layout is strange but the food really good and the bar on the ground floor makes good cocktails.
they are way overpriced ..and ripping off the Antartica program with those rates ..hope they catch this flaw in the pricing
Stayed to help our own city. Disappointed. Rooms clean & comfortable. To start reservations got an American call centre dificult to hear. Gave up. Checkin ok. Bar service far from professional. Breakfast service totally unprofessional didnt get coffee food ok but not special. If you want locals to stay howabout make it a bit special.
Very clean and elegant rooms. The bar is great (though the could use some blue cheese olives). The breakfast I had here was great as well. I would stay here again 10/10.
Stayed at crowne plaze christchurch in june this year with my family.
i was extremely happy with the rooms we were given on the 17th floor! they were so spacious, so updated and the view was absolutely amazing, despite the fact there was works going on outside i will still give this hotel a 5 star review! the staff were extremely friendly and their customer service was on point.
the restaurant in the hotel was lovely, although i think myself and my brother in law got a little bit of food poisoning from the pork, nonetheless we cannot be sure it was from that, the food was delicious!
the cocktails were amazing at such a good price too and i loved that you could get drinks delivered to the rooms with no room service charge.
another thing i loved was that you could turn the volume up on the tv in the bathroom which is something i have never seen in a hotel.
i loved the look of the lobby and it was super comfortable for myself and my family to hang out in and catch up for a couple of drinks.
i also enjoyed that the bar staff could whip me up a drink that wasnt on the menu!
this is an amazing hotel and i highly recommend it! such a good walking distance from the casino, shopping, and an escape room 2 minutes up the road!

The hotel is brand new with excellent location. The executive rooms have an amazing view. Also, the room has plenty of USB ports to charge your stuff.
However, car parking is a hassle. You need to call the reception to open the gate if they answer the phone!

It was our hotel after we finished our motorhome trip and that made a difference to have a good rest and peace of mind that we would be resting well. I would definitely stay again if I finish another motor home trip or I go on a business trip.

Right in the central city which was great. Parking to the side the building which is $15 a day. Service was efficient and professional. There is a nice restaurant and bar on site. Plenty of room for meetings in dedicated rooms. The rooms themselves was clean, spacious and comfortable. You can choose your pillow options and they have nice little touches like scented pillow sprays, capsule coffee machine and plenty of soaps, body lotions etc.
Went to book for Friday but unfortunately somehow booked for the Monday prior. When I found out that I'd made a mistake and had been charged the fee for the night (I wasn't even in town) I frantically called and asked if we could come to a compromise. However the staff made no effort to help and sent me away after taking my money for the room and services I never used.
Friendly, helpful staff. Just across the square from the casino. Very central. Free welcome drink. Free upgrade to an executive room. Very nice.

I checked in late and it was WAY slower than it should have been. Night staff didn t have any solid recommendations about what to do or see in Christchurch. Staff in the day were way more helpful!
