Staff were kind, helpful, and willing to answer all our questions. We did the estate testing and were blown away by the last dessert wine... the grounds are gorgeous! Definately will stop by again

Things we liked: the food, the friendly service, the cute server, the lovely winding driveway, the overall relaxed vibe. Things we didn't like: the wine. Of the seven kinds we sampled, 3 were undrinkable and a fourth was reminiscent of the cheap red you get drunk on in college.
CrossKeys is a beautiful and peaceful vineyard. It was an excellent stop while I was visiting Virginia. The sweet/fruit wine flight I had was fantastic! Great wine accompanied by a terrific view of the winery.Thank you for the hospitality!
If 5 stars is exemplary (the best one could hope for), Cross Keys is a solid 4 stars (i.e. very good). We are members at Cross Keys. They have a wide selection of wines and have some of the better reds in the area. They are also one of the the fancier/ more ritzy vineyards in the area, though their prices are about on par with other local vineyards we. They also have a solid kitchen, though they do close fairly early. We particularly enjoy their Salsa Under the Stars events and their brunches with live music.
This vineyard was so beautiful! The tour was great! Not too long but filled with lots of information. Debbie gave us our tour and our wine tastings. She is very knowledgeable and very pleasant! We liked her a lot! Definitely a must see!
Had the opportunity to stop by here and it was definitely worth it. We did a tasting and then sat out on the patio for some lunch and a bottle of wine. Great mountain views!
Have been to this winery around 10 times and have never had a bad experience plus my friends and I all love the wine, it's delicious. What drove me to finally write a review was the excellent service I received on the phone about an online order and the fast shipping. I was craving this wine and live about 4 hours away so decided to order online. The proper discounts were not coming up for the amount I ordered but the person on the phone (I forget his name) was able to help me out and get the proper discounts applied within minutes. ON TOP OF THAT I ordered this wine yesterday and it arrived at my door today! Very happy
Crosskeys has amazing views, and we were lucky to be there during sunset which was breathtaking. They have a vast selection of wines, which appealed to our completely different palates. We ended up purchasing two bottles to take home that we loved. It was a very busy night, but the atmosphere and live music made the setting very relaxed.
Very enjoyable wine flight and delightful location. I just kicked back on the back patio overlooking a spectacular mountain view while sipping their delicious wine. The weather was stellar so it was a perfect day. I definitely recommend a visit if you are in the neighborhood.
Had my twins' 21st birthday there this past Saturday.... truly a great day with great weather enhanced by the terrific wines, tasty food and even a red ale that was spot-on. The staff was amazing and exceptionally attentive often dealing with multiple requests at the same time from multiple people.
Still full of emotion from a beautiful wedding, I want to sincerely thank the staff at CrossKeys Vineyard. Their attention to detail, professionalism and experience with special events at the vineyard sets them apart. Thank you Saam and Ariel for the support and for all your help. Everyone had a lovely time. The food was delicious, the best wines were served and the service was outstanding. Truly, a memorable day at the vineyard.
A beautiful setting, friendly staff, wines ok, but nothing outstanding, food again average, nothing outstanding. That said I have been a patron of this winery for many years and will return hopefully with better results
Pretty good wine. However, they're not very concerned about covid. Some staff are lax about masks, and they're not set up for people to distance sufficiently in the tasting area.
Horrible service. We were sitting there for 20 mins and no one came to serve us. It was so hot that day, my son was dehydrating so bad. We went inside got a bottle of wine...Still after 5 mins, no one came to bring us water. I went inside to ask for some water, and was given tap water. We left out of disappointment. We ordered Joy white, which used to be good. It taste like garbage this time.
Perfect place to come to on a Sunday Brunch is very very good, live music on the patio. Our waiter was really upbeat and helpful. The front patio is incredibly spacious and has amazing scenery and if it ever stops raining this spring will be going back. The only upsetting thing was a man smoking a cigar and the smoke kept drifting toward our table. They do allow smoking on the patio, need to be more careful about picking a table outside.
Went for my first time this week, and loved it so much I came back 2 days later! Delicious wine, fun atmosphere and great food! Not to mention how beautiful the scenery is! Would recommend for anyone, even if youre not a wine drinker!
I just tried 10 different wines at CrossKeys Vineyards (red and white flights) and I was impressed that the winery achieved something I consider quite impossible: to transform hundreds of years of wine making experience into a wine whose quality does not even compete with tetra Brik wines. I've visited around 10 wineries in CA, 10 wineries in France, 10 wineries in Chile, and 1-2 in Australia, and never been so disappointed. I think the food is lovely, just BYOB.
The Bistro brunch was excellent! All four of us enjoyed our choices. We recommend the Smoked Salmon Tart, Brie Fondue, Southwestern Breakfast Bowl, and Crab Stuffed Potatoes Chesapeake.
Knowledgeable servers with great customer service. The wine is fantastic and the vineyard is well kept with a beautiful landscape overlooking their spacious patio.
This place has such a wonderful view! The atmosphere is absolutely to die for. Unfortunately our waiter, Caleb, was not up to par. Other waitresses were very attentive to their tables, all of them. My family and I felt neglected, watching Caleb walk back and forth, and disappear for 20-30 mins at a time. My food came out to me; cold, while my boyfriend s food was great. Was this poor planning by the chef? Did caleb forget and bring our food out too late. Im not sure what was going on. If my table ended up being too much for caleb to handle is that managements fault? Needless to say I was very disappointed with the service that was given to my family and I.
Love the venue, would love to return, but the service needs improvement.
Great winery with a delicious set of wines available for tasting. I recommend the Estate Tasting, which allows you to try all 12 wines from the vineyard.
Beautiful, peaceful country place , Mt. Crawford, Va.. drink fine wine with your girlfriends.( I would like to wine tasting) for me , I did with my husband. so relaxing listen and laughs , just What we Need.!!! We have had visited as many times , when we have opportunity to be Harrisonburg...(easy going country place) We will visit again ,shortly..this summer..!!!
Came here for a day with my parents. The brunch was a great thing, made reservations and was late but they graciously extended it for us. The wine was good but the food and the service was the best part. There was a small problem with my order but I told my server they more made up for it. I want to thank Christa, our server, for fixing the problem. I highly recommend her as a server and the cherry cobbler!
Elegant country atmosphere. It is off the beaten path but, worth the effort. They offer wine tasting, nice quality menu items and can host weddings and special events.
They have a lot of options for tasting their wines, and we choose to just buy a Red Wine Flight with a glass of Meritage so we could taste all their dry reds. They have very good wines with an excellent tasting room. There was live music in the event room off of the tasting room so we grabbed a table in the tasting room to listen in. The flight and glass of wine was $19.
We recently had our daughter's wedding at Cross Key's Vineyard and it was a wonderful experience. Sam, Connie and the rest of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had several of our guest comment that is was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. The views at their location are breathtaking. I highly recommend their venue for any event!
The scenery around the winery is beautiful, the wine was quite good as was the food. The dining area really could have been better. Big open patio with a view of the... parking lot? (The back of the building has a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge and Massunutten Mt. Live music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. We requested a seat inside. No loud music, but felt like we were in the hallway to the kitchen, as staff carried meals and dish tubs back and forth to the patio. Wish this could have been a 5 star review...so much potential.
I stopped by Cross Keys on my way home from Myrtle Beach and was blown away with my discovery! First off, the location is gorgeous. The driveway to the winery runs right through the vineyards that leads up to the winery. The staff was professional and gave us an unforgettable tour of the facility. We were able to try all the wines, and fell in love with the Cab Franc! I highly recommend booking a tour with Cross Keys especially if you're in driving distance.
The bistro is pretty but our wait staff seemed to want to push us out. He would come by the table every 2 or 3 minutes to find out how we were doing. It was excessive. Food was served within minutes of him taking the order, which means it was prepared in advance and just heated up. The cherry cobbler tasted like it came from a mix. There was a strange (to me) mix of upscale and downscale. Upscale were the dishes and prices; downscale was the oval plastic tray in which it came. The setting is lively but will not return
We stopped by on a whim because we were hungry and knew this was a winery that also had a bistro and we weren t disappointed. My husband had the bruschetta flatbread and it was fabulous (I had a bite). He had the Red Joy wine, recommended as the pairing with the food and he said it was a really good wine. I had the yummy Waldorf salad a glass of the peach wine and then the apple. If you like sweet wines, these will be right up your alley! The location is beautiful and I m looking forward to returning for Sunday brunch.
We got here early just in case due to the weather. We did find a groupon for the wine/cheese and tour which was a nice inventive, but did find out we had to pay the a tax percentage which was not much. We were greeted immediately and were informed on our options since our tour was not til 4pm. So we bought a sample of their fruity wine and dined at the bistro while waiting. The meal was cooked to perfection with the exception of my husband's meal, the duck was not as hot as the risotto. It was nice to try something different and new to my palette. I ordered the Shelby- turkey sandwich with brie, spinach, apple and a cranberry spread. After we were finished we went back to the tasting room and started our first part of the tasting. So we started out with our cheese platter and shopped while waiting. Bought a cute top and ornament. The platter was really good I don't think we took photos. The almonds were roasted well. Once we were done, we started our private little tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She did let us take photos and took her time with us. The tour was pretty quick. But we did enjoy seeing how the wine is made.
Staff was pleasant during tasting, but none of the wines were "Wow!" Signs posted about no outside food or drink so we left with our lunch to go to another winery which was very open on outside food. Food offered here from restaurant was a little pricey. Another couple was wanting to taste a wine available to only "key club members" and was consistently turned down and pushed at joining membership. Was second visit here and left way more disappointed then the first.
