I'll start by saying the service was great, and I enjoyed my breakfast. I had the bananas and raspberry-sauced brioche french toast. No complaints about the food, as well as my husband. He liked his sandwich, but we were surprised when it came in that form, since it wasn't described that way on the menu. My coffee was no good- first cup was burnt, so I asked for another, and that was burnt too. Also, the table had some termites lingering around. I managed to catch the one that made it on to my plate before it went too far. Maybe will just grab a few chocolate croissants to go if I go back.

I used to never order key lime flavored anything, but their key lime crepe with coconut shavings is making me second guess myself... So delightful. The staff was polite, the restaurant has a tree growing inside the center which when combined with fans that gave a slight breeze and the sun roof convertible ceilings gave this restaurant such a comforting atmosphere and my first ever 5 star review.

Had chocolate croissant which was good. Raspberry was better. My son had a ham and cheese which he said was pretty good. No restrooms till after 8 am when the next door restaurant opens. Overall pretty good and if you go early no wait. They could charge more for food and less fordrinks though. My son's minute maid " fresh orange juice " as it read on the reciept was almost 4 dollars. I would go back .

We were so impressed, that we came back two days in a row.
The food made us feel like we were back in France. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the coffee was perfect.

The staff was extremely friendly. We would highly recommend.

Pleasant shady porch for breakfast on Duval near Hemingway house with excellent pastries, including the interesting specialty of Key lime croissant with just a touch of flavored filling. (I am generally a purist not typically in favor of such variants) French owners with delightful international staff who make espresso just right. Almost as good as the best croissant in the US made in Venice, FL.

Just Amazing!

Just Amazing!
On a recent trip to Key West we had the most amazing breakfast at Croissants De France! A wide variety of menu selections most with very fresh fruit! The four of us each had a difficult time choosing because there were soooo many tempting choices. I was eating light and just had a Mimosa and croissant - the croissant was HUGE; very satisfying. The price was so reasonable that I sent the check back to be confirmed because I felt sure that I had been undercharged (two delicious Mimosas and the croissant for $15). The sevice was quick, friendly and we were not rushed when we lingered over coffee. I cannot wait to go there again on my next trip to Key West - there are so many great choices for a place to eat but I know where I m going for breakfast!

Croissants de France not only did my wedding cake but they also made a birthday cake for the flower girl as well. Both turned out beautifully! When we arrived into Key West a week early, we made an appointment to meet Laura (head baker) and Elina to do a cake testing to finalize our flavor. We decided on a traditional French Wedding cake. Our wedding cake, created by Croissant de France

Chocolate Grand Mariner: French Chocolate Cake with Grand Mariner then layered with Ganache All our guests loved it! I will update my post with pictures from our photographer when I have them! Thanks Laura & Elina!

Croissants were a little better than typical tourist fare, but lacking in everything but sugar (too sweet while dough was missing flavor and texture, although the latter could be the result of a humid environment).

Service was nice staff very friendly but my friend got an omelet with ham and mushroom but she got turkey .. 3 tables got food before us when we came first and the potatoes are bland and cold... I like the place and my dish was pretty good

We stopped by Croissants de France and not a good experience at the to go part of their restaurant. We ordered Quiche Lorraine and a croissant. I asked for the quiche to be heated and they actually used a microwave oven to accomplish this. In what universe does an authentic French restaurant use a microwave to cook. I have visited Paris, Lyon, Grenoble and Brezins, France and no they used traditional ovens at the restaurants I visited there. The quiche was dark brown on top and the eggs were liquified. To say it was mushy would be a compliment. The croissant was hard and cold. When I shared our experience the manager kindly offered us a refund so that gesture was nice. Perhaps the inside restaurant is better so I advise you to try for yourself as this may have been a one off experience.

This place is beyond terrible. One bite of the pastries and I almost threw up. So embarrassingly bad they should be ashamed to call themselves bakers. You would be advised to avoid this place at all costs.

The food was nothing special. I got a spinach feta quiche and a ham and cheese croissant. The quiche was a bit salty, but very creamy and tasty. The croissant was blend. Barely found the cheese in it.

The service was terrible. The lady didn't seem very happy to work there. I asked her to warm the quiche to eat there, but it came cold in the middle. I was going to ask to warm the croissant as well, but gave up as I didn't want to interact with attendant anymore.

Not the best way to start a day. I was impressed this place was a 4.4 stars. Maybe it is for the Bistro.

Think of the national chain La Madeleine, but ten times better!

I tried the place on Stock Island my first trip. They are so nice there it became orr routine breakfast stop.

I've never tasted a croissant this delicious in my life. They claim their key lime pie is the classic spot on recipe and that if you ever see a key lime pie that is green, not yellow, it's an imposter. Regular limes are green, key limes not so much.

The coffee is robust and delicious with various flavors to appeal to the masses. This is my favorite breakfast spot. The fruit tarts are great. Try this place.

Lovely place, I'm french and definitely refund the taste of my childhood boulangerie.
Croissant are amazing, the lime beignet and key lime pie are just awesome!!
You can seat outside and I have a delicious breakfast to start your day in Key West.

Ordered eggs benedict and it would have been good, except that by the time it was brought to me, by the hostess, it was cold and had clearly been sitting for a while. We had a ditzy blond waitress who didnt seem to know what she was doing. My son had french toast, which was also cold but would otherwise have been good as well. Maybe if we had had a more attentive waitress and got our food a little faster it would have been a better experience. One of the other male waiters was running circles around her. We barely saw her the whole time we were there.

TIP: Best Key Lime Pie

TIP: Best Key Lime Pie

An absolute tip for those who come to Key West. Be sure to try a Key Lime Pei cake here. Not very cheap with $ 7.50 but delicious

I had the chocolate cosant and a coffee. The coffee was not French just average truck stop coffee and the chocolate croissant had little chocolate in it. I have been to Paris and real French coffee bars that have real elaborate coffee machines. This place lacks the real Parisian feel you exspect from a French backery. I asked to meet the owners since I am a chef and the workers did not know how to get in touch with them. Deffinently not as good as this place could be.

Had 3 pieces of cake to share for dessert. The key lime, a chocolate and another. Cakes didn't have a lot of flavor. Wasn't really impressed with this bakery. To be honest - not much different than grocery store cakes......and the staff wasn't very nice either.

Had the crepes ganache. Slightly doughy, fresh and delicious.
Take in the sights and smells of fresh baked on an early morning on the Keys.
Loved it.

Very, very disappointed, croissants were cold, eggs appeared to be boxed and over cooked. Only reason they reciever 2 stars is because the waitress was extremely nice. Food horrible, prices are high, and no attention to detail. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

For over 30 years, Croissants de France & le Bistro, offer a mix of French food with a Caribbean touch, typical to Key West cuisine.

I would give it four stars because it was a tiny bit pricey, but the food was too delicious! It was a perfect spot to sit and people-watch on Duval St, but it was away from the really noisy areas. I had a ham & brie on a baguette as well as a chocolate croissant and they were both incredible.

i ate here for lunch 2x because the food was so good.

The wedding cake we ordered was so tasty..... but it was hideous. it was crooked... and they countered this by putting it on a crooked platter, so it was level on top... the decorating job was 'eh' - not nearly as pretty as the cakes on their site. it looked like my mom decorated it for my 5th birthday : /

i wasn't thrilled with how it looked. but it tasted good....

The food was good but pricey, as to be expected in Key West. The portion sizes was large for us but your mileage may vary. The cafe au lait was very good. If you want something a little different than the usual this is a good choice.

Several of us went to this cute little place to pick up some goodies on our last night. We had to get up and leave early in the morning so we had to eat on the way to the airport. Half of us recieved the wrong order. Apparently they put croissants filled with raspberry and chocolate but labelled them as lemon filled or coconut cream filled in the display case. Not only was the raspberry chocolate disgusting, but it was too late and we were to far away to do anything about. What a waste of money! For this I would rate this place 1 star.

I increased my rating to 3 stars because the plain croissants were tasty as well as the key lime filled beignet. Just be sure to split open and check the filling on any item you get before leaving!!!!!
