Crestview Health and Rehabilitation Center Review

THANKS TO MICHAEL, THE DIRECTOR OF REHAB, AND AND A VERY PROFESSIONAL GROUP OF THERAPIST I RECEIVED THE BEST CARE I COULD HAVE HOPED FOR! AS FOR THE REHAB DEPARTMENT, I GIVE THEM FIVE STARS!

The PT staff is good. SOME nursing staff are great. Food is TERRIBLE. I personally wouldn't recommend this place. But this place served its purpose. I'm a current resident and I'm ready to run the hell out of here.

Strongly do not recommend this facility. Mom contacted later passed from COVID-19 while in care of Crestview. Rooms small dark and smelly. Business office STAFF needs training in ETHICS and Public Relations. If you care don t place your love ones here.

Crestview has provided consistent care for my brother for over three years. Their service is also a service to my family and is greatly appreciated. There have been concerns over the years however, the staff has responded in a professional and caring manner.

I was a patient in Nov/Dec 2010, the general nursing care required for recovery from a cervical fusion proceedure was seriously lacking.
The medical staff could be described as ignorant to my own individual required assistance regarding a cervical brace being worn 24/7 and no instructions in reference in how to retain long term cervical mobility.
As a result, I am existing with only 20% ROM of my neck, this restriction is contributing to additional stress and pain to my lumbar spine.
So I am an example of when the Grady Health System will not provide the best medical care required on an individual patient basis, the surgery performed has been medically labeled as failed. I still have the same major symptoms as medically noted before this surgery was performed.
I would NOT recommend anyone be admitted to this facility for rehabilitation of major spinal surgery
with positive long term results.

I was at Grady for 12 days and one of the social workers there recommended this place highly when I was looking for a rehab to go to. The staff at Grady were so wonderful and took such great care of me I never questioned the social worker's recommendation, especially when he told me Crestview is part of Grady. What a mistake that was, this place should be called the shame of Grady. The rehab wing was pretty good if you overlooked the impatient youngsters working there just to get a paycheck and the nurse who lied and told me I had no pain meds ordered so I suffered all night with excruciating pain. The day nurse gave me pain meds, said they were there all along and nursing supervisor told me they have 3 different emergency procedures to get people meds but this nurse refused to do anything when I asked her to call the pharmacy. One of the social workers here said she had hit a brick wall trying to find me a care home to go to when my insurance ran out. She suggested I reconsider going back to live with my drug addict ex whom I had banned from visiting ne 5 days earlier. They moved me to long term care a week ago and this place is a nightmare. My ex told me he had come to this ward accidentally the first time he came to visit and the smell nearly knocked him over, I have to wear a blue mask going through the hall here so the odors of urine, feces and disinfectant don't cause me an asthma attack. The majority of the staff here want to warehouse people and only pay attention to them at certain scheduled times. I worked hard during my 3 weeks on the rehab ward and can get myself in and out of the wheelchair and around but they still want to try to warehouse me. There are some wonderful people who work here, Ms. T on the rehab ward, Sita, Stephanie in PT, Rosemary in housekeeping and the Activities Director, Ms. Jackie but they are far and few between. I can and do speak up for myself and will not stop until things change but I am so concerned for those here who cannot speak up for themselves. This will be brought to the attention of people who can do something about this place,

My mother n law is here at the present moment. I feel like if you are going to work at a facility like this then you need to be willing to care for the residents. They keep her drugged up and sitting in front of a tv all day. Everttimr I come she's slumped over. Put some air freshness in the hall if the staff isn't going to upkeep the place and have it smelling like urine. Some of employees are just standing around chatting as I type this when I'm sure there are residents that could use a changing.

straight up human negligence. People are numbers here. would NOT RECOMMEND

If you're looking for rehab towards independence, this is the place. They coax you to progress in your own wellness/healing. Professional staff, well lit, clean, therapy and scheduled activities. Some patients are miracles in motion. Your progress is eventually up to you. Visitors are encouraged.

I give them two stars because the lady when you have to sign a person in named Erica she has a nasty attitude saying she ain't gonna take no more people so she came in and slammed the paperwork on the desk what the world is going on but that one there Erica she is to messy and nasty attitude what she must don't want her job.

My dad was in this facility for about a month and he was left at the dialysis clinic. My sister called the front desk and was told he was in his room, but he was still at the clinic. Horrible, horrible experience.

Words can't express the way i feel right now! I just spent over 3 hours with my father today in this place, because he call me complaining about the way he's being treated by the staff. First, there's 4 Adults per room, trash all over the floor, i literally had to step on 3 roaches crawling across the floor, my father had nets flying around his bed, with him attempting to eat. I wanted to see if anyone would come in, and offer to assist him with me being there, the only person who came in within a 3 hr time frame was the LPN to bring meds, but not ONE CNA! This place should be SHUT down!!! Management lack knowledge, maybe that's why their using their degrees in a Nursing home facility. Just because you're using government subsidies doesn't me you should be mistreated! This place is like a third world country. My father had to use the bathroom on himself this morning, because he was ignored by the staff, this is not acceptable. I got enough insight to do what i needed to do! If i could post my pictures i would. Run like hell from this place!!!

I tell you this make this place your very last resort...It smells like pure urine.I saw staff flirting with patients , I am a retired police truth be told the staff there just about all are unprofessional with few exceptions. I spoke to a lady whose mouth was full of food she never could stop eating crazy!

My spouse was a patient and When and while he was a patient there for about 5-6 months he had ,4 strokes and when he first came there he had brain injury to rehab for stroke and he would just blurt out some things that he really doesn't understand what you're saying and the nurses would just look at him and laugh at him because he said he would take off his clothes it was hot the place is crazy stinky and they never really changes his under clothes like they're supposed to until I came I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but on the other hand at the end of the day far as his recovery they did teach him how to remember certain things such as his months of the year which he still struggles with but Grady thank you for saving his life

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!! I WASJUST TOLD I HAVETO BATHE IN COLD WATER. THEREIS NO HOT WATER IN THIS PLACE AT ALL. THIS IS CRAZYTHIS PLACEIS TAKING 1 THOUSAND DOLLARS A MINTH HOW IN THEHELL THE MAINTANCENOTBEING DONETO THIS PLACE!! SHUT THIS PLACW DOWN!!!-

The nurses are very unprofessional. Found relative in her own feces first two days there. Never saw a nurse come in room to check on patients. Physical and Occupational Therapist did their job well. Social Worker Logan is a joke.

While the staff is friendly, the facility has just as many visible roaches as patients. There aren't enough wheelchairs for the patients, it's first come first serve. they put the rehab residents with the mental with the nursing home patients. They call the 1st floor patients the "rejects" and they don't change them how they are supposed to. It is a terrible place that dampens your spirit and I wouldn't suggest anybody come here.

Do not I repeat! Do not send your love one to Crestview rehab center. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but the truth is they are unorganized and at the end of the day I wish my father had never gone there. My father constantly complained about the food and the service there, when I mentioned it to them they said he was being too picky or not cooperating. Not to mention when he was discharged they didn't give us back his clothes and then they lied about it and said someone picked it up but they had no record of it. So if you have a choice please send your love one somewhere else.

They almost killed my mom. Do not take tour family Here. The place smells of feces and urine. The nurses are sorry and the doctors are only there for a check.

Mean, hateful staff, kindness is minimal there but the staff who are kind are very kind. Staff in nursing administration world their authority like a machine gun. They will make you pay for complaining about anything or totally sweep it under the rug.
Don't know why they even have social workers there, they don't do a thing to help anyone.

My uncle spent nearly 30 days at this facility. Our family has no complaints. Jessica/Sandra from Admissions, Ms. Tami and the entire D1 Unit Staff, Ms. Angel - Social Worker, Mr. Michael and PT Staff, Ms. Jackie - Activity Director, Dietary and Housekeeping all were very professional and showed great compassion and patiences towards my uncle. They were all attentive to his needs and anytime we had questions they were available for answer. Unfortunately my uncle passed away but before he did he got transferred to A2 Unit. He enjoyed being there he was able to meet other residents and share much laughter. Ms. H and her staff welcome him with open arms and showed the same compassion as D1. Although my uncle wasn't able to partake in a lot of the activities Crestview offer however we did get to enjoy the movie and popcorn night. This facility is very clean and conveniently located to Walmart, restaurants and hotels which was a BIG plus for my family. Thank you so much for caring for my uncle and making sure we as a family were comfortable. We will definitely recommend this facility. The Collins Family
