Crescent Lodge Review

My wife and I were vacationing at this lodge when winter storm Riley hit; the entire area lost power, the roads were impassable, and there was no way out of the town. No power, no water, no heat, no food of our own. The owner came down and set up an emergency generator and cooked us all dinner, including for random stranded passerbys who weren t even staying there, and ran the bar the entire night by candles and dim generator lighting. Truly went above and beyond to make the best out of an emergency situation, despite the fact that I m sure they had things to deal with given that the entire town was an emergency zone. We had a great time hanging out with other people staying at the lodge, as it seemed to be full capacity that night, so lots of folks to meet and talk to. The staff did their best and we truly appreciate it. It could have been a disaster but they treated their customers really well.

Very cute and homey cottage "village." The Wickshire had a nice jacuzzi and fireplace set up. The restaurant was excellent, both food and service! There was even a trail to hike. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Poconos.

Very nice establishment, friendly staff and warm cozy atmosphere. Food was amazing and even the complimentary breakfast was good quality...a nice selection of quiches and breads as well as cereals, fresh fruit bowl and juices. Cottage was pleasant... Great water pressure and fireplace but dated. Still rather stay here than a Hampton were quality breakfast lacks but rooms are nicer. Enjoyable stay. Thanks crescent!

This place is so cozy and right by the road! We absolutely loved the vibe with my mom and would be happy to return to this home away from home for our next road trip.

We came evening. The woman on reception was very nice. Provided us all information about the hotel.The lobby was nice and had very beautifull christmas decorations. We stayed at Paradise house.The Cottage was cozy and tiny.It had fireplace,bed was very comfartable.The room and barthroom was very clean. The room had all staff for good stay. Restraunt is excelent. On dinner they play piano.Breakfast was great:hot eggs,sausages,freash friuts,yogurts,hot panecakes. Great view from restraunt. Just no cell connection and wi fi didnot work neigther in lobby no in cottage for one evening and night .

Wonderful staff, fantastic restaurant the food is amazing, great rooms and peace and quiet.

We stayed here once - the place is very clean and the workers are very pleasant.The free breakfast was a plus..

Thanks again, Crescent Lodge and staff for another wonderful weekend. This is our annual mini getaway, and and this was our third visit. Always comfortable and cozy with a great staff. The new restaurant, although a bit different, was enjoyable. Had the pleasure of dining there twice. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see some of your former staff, they were truly memorable people and hopefully it was just their nights off. Want to mention the young man who plowed the area this weekend. What a genuinely nice person who took the time to talk to us and help out with a few travel questions. Keep up the good work, we look forward to visiting again. We didn't want to leave. :)

Another great trip to Crescent Lodge/Poconos. We always enjoy our stay here (have been coming here twice a year for 6 1/2 yrs.). Fall colors are beautiful. Front desk staff are always pleasant.

Nice & peaceful place to visit . No kids allowed is a plus for me. They can work on their breakfast some.

Very Cute little place, nice for a couples weekend! There was wood in the fire place every night. Downside is its fairly outdated, if they would update some decor, and or T.V.s it would get a five star. Overall it is worth a drive down and a relaxing stay though.

Stay Away. . Creepiest hotel ever. . There is no front desk after 8. . So there fore no room service or anyone there to help you. . . Plus this area has no cell phone for any provider. . . WiFi is just slow. . . It s more of a cheap creepy motel. . . Does not look anything like the pictures. . . So don t be deceived!

I've only been inside, lobby, once. But I like the comfort you feel with them and the grounds here. Nice quiet location to get away!

My wife and I have been coming here since we met 7 years ago. It's simply the best. Some comments on here saying they need to update... Please don't update it. It's fine how it is. Most of us like the quaint feel and old time atmosphere.

Just a wonderful country inn, with quiet elegance and an excellent dining experience. The perfect place to enjoy dinner and drinks in the Poconos!

I went to the Crescent Lodge for valentine's dinner and was unimpressed with the experience. The staff was friendly but I felt the food was sub par. First off the menu they had posted online was completely different for the menu that was givin to me upon arrival. The portionset were small for such a big price Tag and the desert I was given was still frozen.

Room was underwhelming. TV did not have any active channels. Definitely geared towards the older crowd.

The suites definitely need to be updated with present technology and needs more welcoming management. However had a nice country chic theme to the room and also was super quiet and peaceful

I really loved this place.. good place to unwind and I also liked the lady who's serving the breakfast every morning.. she's very nice to us.

We first came here when my husband and I started dating 15 years ago. We came here this time for a quick, 2 day, nostalgic getaway. We stayed in the same cabin and it hasn't changed in 15 years. This is not necessarily a bad thing. VERY clean, cozy, country cabin. They shouldn't change a thing. It's very quiet and quaint. If you're looking for an authentic, rustic, romantic cabin feel...this is the place to go.
Some good to know tips:
>Only given 1 Duraflame log a day. You can only burn Duraflame, no real wood. If you want additional logs, it's $5 for 1 additional log.
> They have a fridge/full kitchen in the rooms, you can bring bottled water or snacks if you don't plan on driving miles to the nearest place for beverages. Otherwise you can walk to the main lodge vending machine.
>The main lodge closes at 11pm .

Next visit will include a cottage and hopefully they will have reopened the dining room for dinner. Breakfast was well prepared .... We had heard that their dinners were the best. Hope they add pickleball to the tennis court. Great time had by all.

Ordinarily I am not the type of reviewer that posts positive reviews however I will make an exception for the crescent lodge.



At first I didn't know what to expect because the area by the front desk is old and withered. We got to our room and what a pleasant surprise to see. It was very clean. The jacuzzi looked amazing and deeper than the average jacuzzi that we've seen. The room looks cozy and romantic. The fire place is beautiful and comes stocked with firewood.

The restaurant wasn't open but the recommended a lot of good places in the area. We asked when the outdoor pool closed and they said it doesn't, so you can use it at anytime.

2nd time having dinner and just as the first time, it was phenomenal! Loved the southern chicken soup!!

We stayed in the private cottage. It was cute and exactly what we wanted. Just to get away and celebrate our honeymoon

The place is beautiful. Very clean & staff is pleasant. Breakfast was awsome. The dinner menue was even better. The cottage we stayed in was well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. I got a great nights sleep. I would stay here again.

Cabin smelled musty, was not updated and I walked in on the staff speaking rudely about some of the other guests. Would NOT recommend!

A quaint little place, in the middle of nowhere. A wonderful place to completely disconnect and just relax and enjoy the company you're with, or just life itself.

Nice older cottage type lodge. Bring your VHS tapes, as the rooms have no DVD player, but do have a VCR. Breakfast was absolutely the best!!

The service was absolutely amazing, the receptionist was very helpful and polite. The bartender was a very helpful and opened 2 bottles of wine we had brought with us. Our waiter was great to very knowledgeable and friendly. The dining room was very elegant with a live piano player and the candle light tables. The food was outstanding my girlfriend had seafood Diablo over pasta, And I had the filet mignon. The seafood Diablo was a little mess but very very good and the filet mignon was amazing cooked perfectly with a peppercorn marinate. The room I thought to be a little out dated with the old TV. Other than that it was a amazing experience

The atmosphere was wonderful for a quiet evening with my wife. Definitely will be returning next year.

This was our first time staying here but not our last. The cottage was just the right size and very comfortable. The grounds were very pretty, the staff friendly. It was a lovely vacation.

My girlfriend and I just stayed here March 13th 2015 , it was an amazing stay . This hotel was peaceful and relaxing . The restaurant was so nice and romantic , and the food was good and very fairly priced . When we checked in we asked how far away the casino was from us , they not only told us how to get there they gave us a flyer with all the local things to do around them . They also had a nice variety of flyers in their lobby with things to do .They are nicely located in the middle of everything in the area . Overall the stay was nice and relaxing , next time we go we want to try to stay at their cottages .

We booked for one night in a luxury cottage with jacuzzi and it was our best choice!!! The room was big, comfortable king-size bed, a fireplace, and our own balcony. Continental breakfast wasn't a big deal, but deliciously enough. We went there to celebrate our anniversary and definitely enjoyed it.

What is being reviewed here? The lodging or the food? The food is easy 4 stars. Dinner was excellent and there is a decent free continental breakfast. The lodging is a 2. Hence the 3 star rating. The lodging is very outdated and the stand alone rooms have carpeting (worry about dirtying), wallpaper falling off walls, water in shower fluctuates between hot and cold, static in tv, hard spring bed....find another place to stay unless you are willing to pay more for the stand alone rooms which may be better.

The service was outstanding. Harrison was friendly and very attentive. Very pleasant

Always a favorite! Coffee-encrusted rib eye steak was excellent. Quiet atmosphere with a great piano player. Loved it!

It is truly a great romantic or get away get away. My wife and I are here for second time and will be back for a third.

Amazing place to stay. Finally got to get away from the kids/work for a few days, spent a night there and cannot wait to go back.
We loved the room, and having the fireplace in our room was great.

Great upscale food at reasonable prices. They even had a piano player when we were there! Afterwards we went to Mary Ann's Dairy Bar for homemade ice cream!

Charming place...get to rent your own cottage complete with a Jacuzzi. A small trail in the back to wander around. Close to the Mount Airy Casino and a shopping mall about 5 miles away. All in all a good way to spend the weekend with a significant other

OMG I had a great time we ended up staying an extra day and we already planning to go back is a very quiet place is great for a romantic get away or just to go and relax

My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the Lodge's standalone cabins this past weekend and could not have been more pleased with the experience. It was our first time in the Poconos, and we found ourselves to be (very much) on the young side of the clientele. However, the Crescent Lodge's cabin and restaurant provided us with a very magical weekend experience that totally blew us away. The cabin itself was heartwarming, with a real fireplace that kept the place cozy over the rainy, wet weekend. There was a gentle nature trail on premises to walk after our morning coffee. The restaurant was like a bright step back in time with an old-fashioned bar, pianist, fantastic food, and charming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend this location to anyone and could not be more pleased with the experience and great staff.

Excellent adults only lodge. The property has a nice pool, nature trails, and an excellent ping pong table.

Couple's retreat heaven. Super clean and a great staff. If you can't relax and recharge here you are doing it wrong.

When I booked a private cottage for my wife and I for our 5th wedding anniversary, I didn't realize this establishment was 70+ years old, which just made this place very classy. Let's just say I can't even emphasize the "wow" factor that this gem of a place we found in the Poconos! Sure there are other places like that in the area, but my wife and I both agreed this place just was in a league of its own and would be the only place in the Poconos we would ever want to go to again! There is a resturant on-site, that we didnt get a chance to have dinner at, but the place was packed. We did however have a chance to have our breakfast there, which was just perfect!
The only downside, which wasn't a deal breaker to us, was the wifi was a little spotty. As my wife and I said, you shouldn't be worried about being on the internet while at a place like this, enjoy your company and post your pictures when you get home.
With great staff, great service, and so close to our home, I will highly recommend this place to everyone I know and we look forward to going back.

Beautiful place to eat with great food. A bit pricey but worthy of a good night out for couples. Usually no kids (if that's something you consider).

What can I say about the Crescent Lodge besides fabulous food, drink (Hi Sam) and very clean rooms, beautiful grounds. Bob, Christy, Sam, Barbara, Laurie, April, Angela,, and the rest of the staff that work their magic at this piece of Heaven on earth. I Thank You. Hi Tony!!!!!

We love this lodge. We stood here last month and had a cottage with jacuzzi. This time around we stood in the paradise cottage. We preferred this cottage. Breakfast is great. Great service from rose. Very nice lady made us feel at home. Good location close to everything. Very relaxing.

The rooms were and older style and very cozy! Had a nice fire place, although the main heat came from floor boards. Our jacuzzi in the room was very relaxing as well. We ate at their restaurant on the grounds, well taken care of, and very good food.

It is a great place for vacation. The room is nice and clean. The food is great. Highly recommend

This place holds a special place in my heart, it's where my husband and I got engaged.. it is our go to place when we visit the Pocono's, it's close to the casino and several other places we enjoy. If you want peace and quiet and a break from the high tech world, take a step back and visit the Crescent.. serenity

I didn't stay here, but I came here for dinner and the place is very quaint and atmospheric. It has an old time feel and the staff is very warm and friendly. Love the store with all the costume jewelry and knick knacks!

I love this place my girlfriend and I came to get away from work ,kids technology and everything and this place definitely was a great place to go the lodges are very clean and very nice the bar is nicely designed to an old fashioned setting we would definitely keep coming back

Have been coming here for years. We always have a wonderful time. Totally relaxing, people are so friendly. It's a step back in time to a slower pace, where you can shut out the craziness of everyday life.

This is a nice, clean, quiet place with more of a mature clientele (mostly older folks).The food was wonderful. My only problem was that they don't have beer. All they have is wine.

Really nice place to stay, dinner there was just okay, the cottage and accommodations were wonderful.

When deciding which hotel we wanted to stay at , I called Crescent Lodge and spoke to Barbara she answered my questions and that s what made me feel comfortable with my choice to stay at their hotel. We enjoyed our stay and it definitely served our purpose. We were there celebrating our 33rd. Anniversary. Although we are still in a pandemic the staff made sure all our needs were met without compromising our need to be safe. We rented the suite with the kitchen, although there was complimentary breakfast offered and a bar and restaurant on the premises, we chose to utilize the kitchen and prepare our own meals which was fully stocked with pots and dishes already. We were very pleased with our stay there and plan on returning. The jacuzzi, the peace and quiet, the view from the deck was definitely everything for us. My husband loved the fact that our car was able to be parked in our own driveway was definitely a plus for him ( men and their cars ). I don t have any complaints, Thank you to all the staff at Crescent Lodge for a great weekend.

Warm and charming rooms, quiet and private, peaceful surrounding (just watched the dear this morning grazing on the property) Just a great place to get away from it all. They have a great pool and tennis and a hiking trail too. The restaurant had excellent selections, but the specials are what seal the deal.....I know we're planning a return visit.

Great seenary stay away from the casino their not friendly nor helpful can't even answer simple questions unless your sitting and playing rude. Hotel has great cabins with lots of privacy.

My husband and and I had our first (of many more) stay here over the weekend. The staff are warm and welcoming, as well as super helpful. Our cottage was neat and tidy, the food was EXCELLENT and we loved the pool. We have nothing but good things to say, and cant wait to come back again.

We love this place! The staff is amazing, and although we couldn't dine in our favorite restaurant/bar this time, they still served up an amazing to go menu which we enjoyed in our cottage! One of our favorite getaways!!

Love this quaint little place just off the beaten path. The owners are wonderful! Perfect weekend getaway in the mountains. The decor is retro, circa 1980s but tasteful and clean. Love lounging in the jacuzzi by the fireplace! We have stayed twice and plan to return!

My husband and I came to this lodge because a friend of our recommend it. We were so glad we came for the two day get away. The front desk was so cute and the cottage had real fireplace. We had so much fun and the restaurant food was delicious. The breakfast was really great. The staff was really nice and accommodating. This place was amazing, we will be back for the summer when there are more warmer activities to do.

Easter dinner was a disappointment.

They ran out of Zinfandle wine, wild rice and seafood gumbo soup. Wasn't told about the wild rice till after I was served.

If I wanted Zinfandle wine I was told that I had to buy a bottle from the bar.

Deserts were overpriced and limited.

Not coming here again.

Clean and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay so much we ll be coming back soon. Restaurant is delicious and rooms were so clean. It s a little dated but it adds to charm. Close to Casino and waterparks.

Great location, very quiet and secluded rooms. Grounds are quite picturesque. The rooms themselves are a bit dated but functional.
