Ok... My experience at this place wasn't me buying a car. But my mother. And at first the guy (Allen) seem like he wanted to help my mom. So she bought an suv. It needed a few things like; passager side door lock, new speakers, new tires, new inspection, shock or strut, front defogger, transmission, grill , reverse lock, cruise control,4low (like i said a few things)All talked about at time of purchase. Well when it came time to fix the issues, all the sudden the speakers and tires aren't covered... And my mom is not a argumentative person and didn't say anything. ( I was there when she said about the tires and speakers and he said they don't do that here you'll have to take it to the service center) So after she called me crying about this I drove over to her house and I called 5 or 6 times from the same number and ring.. Ring... Ring.. To voicemail. Look if you have bad credit or whatever, there are so many other places better then Credit Connection to buy a car. Yes, their warranty sounds nice, but if you can't get them to do the work they say they will then what's the sense of buying the Platinum warranty. ( So they can get that extra money is why ) and not to mention there mechanics couldn't put a tricycle together. I mean honestly these guy are clueless when it come to there jobs. Or there just bubble gum mechanics that do what there told and dont really care about the saved of others. They sell you car that thet no the parts arent covered under the warranty. Lesson learned! I would not suggest you purchase a car from here. At least not at this dealership. They don't keep their word and all they are worried about is getting you trapped in those payments! My mom is 60 plus years old and look how they treated her. Do you really think they'll treat you any different? ... I don't recommend anyone buy a car from these guys. A man is as only good as his word.. And well you see where his (Allen's) word got my mother. Buying new speakers and tires out of her own pocket. These guys ain't much more then crooks.

Purchased a 2001 Pathfinder in November 2016. The process was friendly and fast, and I understood that there was - as with any used vehicle - the possibility of issues. They replaced the brakes, and serpentine belt for free and even though I had to have the throttle body replaced ($600) and have put new tires on it since I am satisfied with the service. The vehicle has rust, and needs some minor things (bumper damage, etc.) but it is nothing unexpected.

If you are looking for a completely trouble free auto then any used vehicle is not for you. I've purchased used vehicles from dealerships and had more issues, with horrid customer service, so from my perspective the process with Credit Connections is pretty easy and good.

They are terrible, I recently purchased a 2005 Ford Taurus from them in November of 2016 and I put 900 down total for the car plus the insurance on it. They gave me the green light on the car, well one of the guys did which means the car is ook to drive and has no major issues with it. About a month later the car completely broke down on me coming home from work it stalled on me and all here to find out that the ac compressor was bad, the water pump pulley had broken, and the serpitine belt was broken as well. I contacted credit connection to see if they we're able to swap a car with me or work something out and they said they could not do it without me having to enter into a new contract with them. They then refered me to their mechanic (DUCKS AUTO SHOP!)on paxton street. So they came and towed the car now mind the car came with a 50/50 warranty. The warranty company paid for the towing and were suppose to pay 50 percent of repairs for whatever they covered WRONG!. The guy at the shop gave me a total of $805.00 for the repairs to be done now I refused to pay out that Much money for a car I haven't had 30 days plus on top of the 160 dollar car payment which their continuing to add on. DUCKS AUTO then told me that the warranty company would only pay out 271.00 and they didn't covered the ac compressor nor the water pump it stated in their contract they do cover that and now they their saying its not covered and I have the total of 533.00 left to pay plus the car note to have the car turned on NO! NO! NO!. I should not have to pay repairs on the piece of ish car they sold me and I haven't even gotten past 30 days with the car yet smh. They wouldn't work with me at all on anything so now I'm furious I want to surrender the contract and get my things out of the car and they can have their car back and go and pay to have the car removed. Nope I can't surrender my contract without me paying the auto shop the repair money smfh and DUCKS AUTO SHOP! will not let me get my belongings out of the vehicle without someone paying the cost. I'm saying to anyone that goes there either make sure you take the car to get seen soon as you purchase a vehicle from them. I will be taking legal matters with these people. They sold me a lemon and they are keeping my belongings.

Cheaters. Sold us a car "if there are issues, we'll repair it". It broke down after 20 miles. Comment: "It's an engine problem, we do not cover that". We negotiated that they take it back for half of what we paid. They agreed, but never transferred the money...

The reason for my 3 stars is based on having the vehicle for 11 months so far. My vehicle broke down right near the business. I was in the process of looking for a new car and was forced to buy from them. I picked this jeep liberty sport. I love jeeps and it was the best looking vehicle in the lot. The jeep had to small rust spots on the door. I paid $4500 down. So I didn't have to make I payment until July. Come July I wanted to buy it right out. They wanted another $4000. I over paid by $2000. The undercarriage all but rusted out. The brake lines rusted thru completely. I had no brakes while driving. Calipers are rusted out. The wheel bearings where is awful shape and making a racket. The 4 wheel drive is about to go bad. The person before didn't know how to use it. All in all it was a lesson learned about having bad credit cuz there are places that will capitalize on your bad money management skills like mine

When I live in Harrisburg I purchased two vehicles. My first was a cute Red Dodge Neon. And that car handled the snow like it wasn t even there. My second purchase was a Ford Expedition. The staff was wonderful. They always treated me with the utmost kindness. I pray the same staff is still there. I live in Philly now. I m looking to purchase another vehicle soon and there is no place I would rather be than Credit Connections in Harrisburg. I m a give them a call tomorrow

Ok. Pardon the long post but want to give readers ...

Ok. Pardon the long post but want to give readers the big picture here. I worked part time/ sporadically for two years while caring for an ill parent at home. Circumstances became such that I had to place my parent in a nursing home. Well, after that the parents monthly income went to the home for care and I was only working part time so there was no money to purchase a solid used car for cash while I got back on my feet. My other car needed a bunch of work so that wasn t an option either. I needed a car to go back to work full time as I work varied shifts and public transportation in Central PA sucks. Enter Credit Connection.

They are useful if you plan on using the car in the short term while making other arrangements. The cars usually have problems, are high mileage, and the payments are outrageous given the age and condition of the vehicles. Beggars can t be choosers I guess so I got a used sedan with higher miles. I sprung for their so called extended warranty that raised the payments an extra $40 per month. I knew from the beginning that the car was a rip off but with limited credit, limited recent employment, and a need for a car right now I signed on the dotted line.

Mind you I hate being ripped off so I took a second job to save for a used car I can pay cash for and I m about 2 months away from being able to give them their car back and buy a used car for cash. No more legal extortion. Remember, these type of places prey on those in situations and that is how they make their money. They aren t really helping if you pay for the car two or three times its value plus are stuck with the high maintenance costs from all the problems you will encounter. And make no mistake....you will pay those payments or the car will be cut off. They don t care if you just spent all your money on repairs you get NO breaks on those high payments.

I must say that my car is fairly dependable but it will need work coming up. It s still way overpriced. In my search for another car I have seen the same year, make, and model of car that I have at $200-2500 less. Now this is if you pay cash or can get low cost financing through a bank or credit union. I do the bare minimum for safety s sake and so the car will take me to work--I did the brakes-pads only-I will not spend money to do the rotors for a car I m not keeping- and changed the oil- and the check engine light has been on since three days after I got the car. It s been on for nearly three months and it will not pass inspection like that. But I don t care because I ll be turning the car in shortly and it will no longer be my problem.

In short...if you need a car quick and don t intend to pay it off just use it for up to 6 months maybe do that. Other than that if you can go elsewhere please do so. Otherwise you will be ripped off. Oh and did I mention you can make every payment on time without fail and Credit Connection does not report to the three national credit bureaus? Essentially you re wasting your money if you pay a car off with them and you re being overcharged. The good payment history won t be reported so you will stay stuck in the same situation.

If possible go to a car lot that participates with Credit Acceptance/Guaranteed Credit approval. The down payments are comparable and you can get the payments reported to the credit bureau to improve your credit score. That s my next move after I have been at my job for a year or so longer.
