CreatiVets: Empowering Veterans Through the Power of Art

CreatiVets is a non-profit organization that aims to empower veterans through the power of art. Founded in 2013 by Richard Casper, a Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, CreatiVets has been providing free art programs to veterans with disabilities and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The organization believes that art can be a powerful tool for healing and self-expression. Through its various programs, CreatiVets provides veterans with an opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves in ways they may not have thought possible.

One of the most popular programs offered by CreatiVets is the songwriting program. In this program, veterans work with professional songwriters to create original songs based on their experiences. The songs are then recorded and produced into music videos that are shared online.

Another program offered by CreatiVets is the visual arts program. In this program, veterans work with professional artists to create paintings or other visual art pieces based on their experiences. These pieces are then displayed at various galleries across the country.

In addition to these programs, CreatiVets also partners with other organizations to provide additional support for veterans. Some of these partners include Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Homefront, and Semper Fi Fund.
