Really hate the new rules about if you have kids you have to go in the childrens section. I had my sleepy 8 month old one day and just wanted to print 1 sheet off in a hurry, tons of staff saw me and said nothing, then 1 lady(who clearly takes her job too serious like they won't replace her in a heartbeat) made a big deal about it(very loudly and rudely in front of a ton of people a)nd said I had to go to the kids section because I had my baby. Well the kids area has kiddie chairs and computers. Luckily there's a printing place on Alexander that's cheaper and quicker

Employees are wonderful however the director of the facility set off my emotionally distraught friend by incorrectly enforcing a law he does not fully understand. He threatened her with police action. Causing emotional distress while her service dog was calm and under control. Thanks to the dog for her services which allowed only a half hour of decompression versus the whole day being ruined. An ableist director who has no care for mentally handicapped people.

The library is always changing, always evolving. Home of the Craighead Historical Society and a nice genealogy section. Very active and alive! Their Children s Room is a delight! Very family oriented .

I love my time at the library. Fortunately, I had the chance to visit my hometown during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Jonesboro Public library added so many more memorable moments to my experience. All of the liberians there have wonderful, southern customers service. They were very efficient in assisting me from signing me up to get research time, and taking the time to listen to me share my 11th grsde experience at Jonesboro High School.

Thank you all, I look forward to returning home just to spend time at THIS library.

Stay safe and stay blessed

This library really needs to consider relocating to a bigger facility. A two or three story building would suffice. This library has it all. I have never had a bad encounter with any of the workers they are all wonderful and very helpful.
The area just needs more room to house the different areas they service.
The children area need to be redecorated, the walls are dark and outdated. There is hardly any toys or play areas for the children. It would be nice if there were audio sessions for children who prefer audio books.
Also the area behind the counter looks cluttered and messy. If the books were displayed differently to accommodate what encores children to read.
The teen space also needs tbeir own area and not the cluttered space it has now.

Relocate with as much money we pay in taxes for the library it s a wonder the library hasn t updated and relocated. Something like Memphis library or portland s Library.

Jonesboro is only getting bigger and the public library is already out grown itself.

I have been coming to this library off and on for over 10 years now. I like it, however it could use some upgrades. The place itself need to be moved to a bigger area, jonesboro has grown to over 100,000 people now, and this library has visitors off and on constantly. It used to be crowed back in the day, with people waiting just to sit in and use a computer, but now its a little more vacant. However, I liked visiting because I would enjoy sitting in the booth, I did not care too much for the college kids working there, at all. Or some of the main staff, this one time I was trying to get a fax done, and this black lady who worked there was assisting me, and she had a bad attitude. Bad for business, any who its good place to be besides all the homeless people lurking around.
