Craganmor is a delightful place to stay. The Overend family and the young people that they employ do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. I have been going there since 2011, and it just keeps getting better. If you go to the restaurant, treat yourself to the pickerel (walleye). It is amazing.

Sadly (for us in G.Bay) the resort has been sold to private ownership & is closed. Natalie, Matt & then Andrew spent 20 years providing lodging, fishing, & food to the delight of all. They will be sorely missed by our family & friends who would enjoy great Pickerel dinners just minutes from our cottages.
All the best in your next life experiences.... D&E

Great restaurant! My family just went this past weekend and we were so impressed with how well they are handling the high water levels in Georgian bay this year! Friendly staff and great food!

The food here was AMAZING! The salt and pepper calamari was the best I've ever had, hands down. Also had the wings which are 100% worth it. Don't deprive yourself of an ice cream cone for the boat ride back! Absolutely stunning service, reasonably priced, beautiful water where you can swim on the floating inflatable tower. Honestly, the best trip I've had in awhile. 10/10 would recommend.

The resort is located near Perry Sound on Georgian Bay. The cottage we stayed was spacious but in disrepair. Many screens on the windows had tears in them allowing insects entry into the cottage. There was also holes at the base in some of the walls in which mice could get in. We set 2 traps and caught 5 mice in a few hours. The area is nice with some great fishing. I can recommend the area but not the resort. It was overpriced and the owner was too busy running the attached restaurant to give renters the attention they deserve.

I come here every year for 10+ years and I love the atmosphere. I only visited the restaurant (never stayed here at the cabins) but it looks fun. The staff is always super nice and courteous. I often bring my dog and the deck is dog friendly. I always get wings (I like their hot wings and garlic). The prices are reasonable given you are on an island. The lodge has a kids section with toys and my daughter had a blast. The water is so high the beach is under water this year but I'll have to come every year just to be sure. My only complaint if I had to have one is I wish they dedicated a staff member to help people Dock. With a young kid and pregnant wife I need some help. :-) definitely recommend coming here!

This is THE place for food on the water in the Parry Sound area. The fresh pickerel is to die for. Much better, & much larger portions too, than the "famous fish place". Dining inside or outside, on picnic tables (licenced ) watching the boat traffic go by. Awesome!

Craganmor's has been a tradition for us, every year we make several trips from deep bay with a boat load of friends and family. this is by far our fav island restaurant destination. Yes the food and drinks are a bit more, but come on, you are on a island, and you have the option of eating outside, on the deck, with beers, pretty sure you can't do that at the other island restaurant that is near by.

The kids, even older now, still get a kick our of swimming out to the floaty climber thing. and our dog has always been welcome to sit with us, although we normally make her wait in the boat.

We love that the staff are normally from other countries, just here to work for the season, its always fun to learn about where they are from, and they are always friendly.

If you don't have your own boat, take a water taxi, it will be an adventure and something you won't regret.

Very nice people, very nice place!

Very nice people, very nice place!
The owners are laid back, staff were helpful.
The cabins were clean, although if you go there to stay inside, you would miss a lot outside. If you choose the restaurant try the pickerel.
And if you are into fishing that's the place!

Amazing location on the channel. Great outdoor patio on the water. Great food especially the pan fried pickerel, and the fish (haddock) and chips. Best onion rings I've ever had. Simply outstanding!!?

Went here as a result of my parents booking a get-away and then being unable to go. We thoroughly enjoyed the week long stay in a two bedroom cabin near the shoreline. The cabin was adequately furnished and the amenities were fine! Use of a couple of kayaks and canoes were great. I caught a few good eating pike while there as well, by canoe. We came with our own boat and were able to enjoy the area that I grew up in on Spider Bay. The hosts were very kind to us and I enjoyed the tour I took with my girls of Spider Bay (and our family's recently sold cottage) as the guest of the host (I showed him where all the reefs were)! We didn't eat any meals at the restaurant, but they looked good!

A fantastic boating destination. Dock is part of, not just a view, of Georgian Bay. The ambience is pure old school cottage country plain lumber. If you don't like stuffed fish on a wall, stay in the city.
There is a pool table is fun for the whole family. Usually we play a game first while we order. Amazing to see the kids actually put their phones down and play together.
Service is nice and friendly. The food comes out hot. No hassles.
The food is what Henry's is supposed to be. The fish is actually fried properly! The fries are frozen but still tasty. The caesar salad was fresh, probably with Renees dressing. The kids and dog went swimming off the dock after we ate. A great experience! Will return!

I realize that when my family and I visited this location it was the long weekend. No complaints about the wait. It was long but understandable considering the time of year. Unfortunately though, the food and service was very disappointing. Staff had problems understanding what we wanted. We weren't expecting gourmet food, but even what we ordered was less than satisfactory. Feel badly about the circumstances of the high water which may be the reason for all of this.
