Cowabunga Bay Review

The water is super dirty. I really enjoyed it but every time I went to the wave pool my eyes would burn even though I didn t open them under water...also, when I got home I had a headache and a fever. My body was killing me but that s probably just because I was walking and standing a lot. I ve been sick for a week now and it s all because I went to cowabanga bay, next time I ll make sure to go to wet n wild for sure.

We had a great time yesterday with our boys...this was their first post-covid outing and we were thoroughly pleased with the cleanliness and efforts to ensure proper social distancing of families...will definitely go back again before they close for the season

Fun , safe , good music , kinda expensive on the food but. Its for sure fun.

Expensive and just a sad shadow of a real water park. Lazy river only has one entrance and exit. The kids area is small and there's only one ride for the little kids.

Mediocre at best. I understand the occasion can be overwhelmingly busy but that's why you ANTICIPATE & PLAN for the unexpected!

Was super fun kids had a blast. Just be ready to climb some stairs

Great place to take the kids to cool off for a couple of hours! We bought a family pass and it s very much worth the price we paid! Food is a little pricey but not much more than your typical fast food and it taste better!!!

Nice water park, kids loved it! Best part was the SHADE when standing in line for the rafts & the stairs.....YES the stairs, very easy to climb up. Unlike at Wet N Wild, their stairs are extremely steep. Climbing up steep flights of stairs really sucked bigtime! I now know which water park ill be purchasing my season passes from.

Bought tickets online and my husband can t be here until later. They won t make any exceptions for him to join us later and state that if he isn t with us to enter than he pays full price for another ticket. What a joke!!! Staff were ignorant and rude even though I stated he had an important doctor appointment and was meeting us right after. Nobody seemed to care or try to help. Just said that we either all enter together or he pays for yet again for another ticket when he comes later. That is wrong of a company to make everyone attend together. Sometimes, schedules vary. As long as they are all Used on the same day, there shouldn t be a problem. No reason individual tickets couldn t be printed so I could bring his out to him later. I will not be attending here again and will take my business to wet-n-wild. So disappointed that my family has to be separated while some of us wait in a hot car unti he can arrive.

Attended Cowabunga's Open House Evening, what a great time!

Usually no wait whenever I go, people are nice and understanding and the food is phenomenal. No complaints!

Cowabunga bay Christmas holiday price was to high, food was over priced. Not much fun

Fun time, not too crowded, not insanely priced, the way pool is fun and so is the slide

A must visit place in summer, you can enjoy full day

The water was the perfect temperature. The service was good.. Parking and tickets are expensive. Would be 5 stars if prices were better.

Great experience and a lot of fun for the whole family

We had a blast. Planned on staying all day but it's just too hot. We did rent a cabana which I 100% recommend. It was great getting water service as well as having a safe for valuables and a call button for any food service. We got one right in front of the kids area which was perfect. My 2 year old daughter loved the slides but the wave pool was the very best part of the park.
Only real complaint was not being able to hold my daughter as we went down the slides. I understand it's for safety but it scared her to go by herself at first. Also the tallest kid slide smacks your face full of water at the end so it was really hard to make sure she didn't choke on water.
Definitely recommend the park for some family fun.

Great water slides, lots of room. The only thing I wish they could be partially more lenient with, is not allowing you to bring in any food or drinks.

I thought Cowabunga was wonderful. The waterslides were not overcrowded. We went on a Tuesday, so pizza was only $2 a slice. The lazy river was excellent, but more attention could be paid to underinflated tubes. The staff were courteous and cheerful. The wave pool was busy, but very worth experiencing. There were plenty of places to sit in the shade. The only possible complaint I put forth is the water was a bit warm, and the fact is that without a cooling system, that is a fight with the nature of being in the desert. None the less my visit was fun and refreshing. If you find yourself in the Vegas/Henderson area, you really should make your way to Cowabunga.

Nice water park with plenty of shaded areas and warm water in the kid's pool.

My wife and three kids had a wonderful time, so much so, that they decided to purchase a season pass on the way out. Thank you for giving them a great time and they look forward on coming back.

So much fun! There are occasionally rides down, which is a bummer. But, you know.... safety.

Good value for money. Get there early to get sunbeds. Very clean with great water slides.

Nice park...staff is friendly and helpful. We have had season passes the last 3 years and haven't regretted them at all.

Not worth the money. It's a small park and not all the rides where open. Wasn't happy.

It's a small waterpark that's not too crowded that's why I love it. Also it salt water NOtlT chlorine so that's so nice!! People are nice, curtious, Las Vegas locals and I love it!

Take my grandkids there they love. They like it better then the other place

Really long line just to get inside park and security did not do.a.good job speeding the lines up.at all. They need to better prepare for long lines

Wait times were not bad at all. There were things to do for littles and older kids. The slides were so fun!

If you want a fun day you can easily spend a weeks income. $30 a person to get in, $150 for a cabana, $10 drinks, $4 for ice cream. I went for the teachers day and was able to do most of the rides in 2 hours, there's a children's section and I was too heavy to do one set of rides. You can do just about everything here in 3-4 hours depending on how much time you spend standing in lines.

My babies had a blast !! They really enjoyed themselves. We have a season pass so we'll be back !! My only issues is the family bathrooms ... Omg they were horrible with so many visitors at the park I get it, but man they need round the clock cleaning.

Lady (worker) was rude to me and my friends and almost got a concussion at the end of the ride. ( Banzai)

Something must be done about the hot cement. Many people are tourists and didnt bring appropriate water shoes..more shade. More access to lazy river. Prices are ridiculously expensive. All water is not heated. And they no longer have small kid friendly innertubes.
12 bucks for sun screen...small bottle. 10 bucks for a small locker even if its only needed for 5 minutes... just ridiculous.

Horrible experience. We are season pass holders. I went to purchase a pair of sunglasses from the gift shop and my season pass wouldn t scan for the points and the lady acted like it was a fake pass and treated me like a criminal and made me go to a room in guest service. I waited while being treated like a criminal only for them to come back and say my pass is fine. Then i had to re-enter the park and the people at the gate were mad that me and my husband didn t have our hands stamped and proceeded to lecture us about it. But we couldn t get stamps because the lady had forced us into the guest service room. So my husband told them this and said damn somewhere in his sentence and then an old man worker came after us and scolded him for cursing! Like what? We were inconvenienced and treated like criminals the whole time! Do NOT COME HERE!

IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER

NO ONE was polite about ANYTHING. Your staff shouldn t be so shocked to hear a curse word. Especially from a recently returned veteran. He shouldn t be publicly scolded for using a curse word, maybe your staff needs to grow up a bit. My husband wasn t aggravated or yelling it s simply just the way he talks. There were no children around or anyone else to get offended except for your staff member who had to come after him when he had already walked away and cause a scene. We will not ever be returning and i will tell anyone who will listen to not come here either. Based on all your responses, you take ZERO responsibility for ANY negative review any customer has. You do realize how to run a company right? By not pissing off the people who pay you.

Season Pass holder 2 years in a row. Not happy. Emailed them with issues I had w slides and the lies. Same stories as last year. The slides are being serviced week in week out. This year, same stories! 2 slides closed for maintenance?? The staff lies and keeps telling me that! I told them please stop with your lies. Year after year lies! Look at the signage in the back of the wave pool.. faded and dingey! Wow! They letting it go after 3 years sad to say. Don t expect them to expand anytime soon as they can t even return my email concerns or keep up with the slides they have. Totally disappointed and won t be purchasing season pass for family next year and be sure to pass the word on to friends and family and people in my industry.

Was ok, 5 stars if they stayed open later than 7pm on sundays.

First time here yesterday and thought it was completely unorganized, from entering the park to getting the passes. lines took a ridiculously long time and they werent all that long on a weekday.

I dont understand why it takes so long to keep the ppl moving. Massive delays with each person going down the slides, i have no clue what theyre waiting for. The tube ride with 4 colors had one person going at a time with long delays in between. Why arent all four used at the same time??? Green light means GO! Why does staff have to give a speach every time? Put up a sign or something, that causes more delays when everyone already knows the deal.

Got two seasons passes, may request a refund. I would never attempt to go on a weekend.

The employees were very friendly at the waterpark, thank you so much for staying over to work at our party. I was very disappointed I was too heavy to ride a few of the water slides.

It was absolutely terrible, my brother and I were harassed physically and mentally by some people there and no one did anything about it they told us to forget about it when those people said really hurtful things that could damage a person permenently,almost every employee (there are 2 or 3 really nice employees there) there from my experience acted very rude, obnoxious, judgemental, arrogant, and stuck up, I did not feel welcomed whatsoever, the prices are outrageous for the food and drinks the gift shop is even worse, the wave pool is always filled with people from front to back and when the waves go off everyone turns into animals, you get tipped over, smacked, punched, bit, kicked, drowned, my brother and I went in the wave pool and we turn around and we see a little kid drowning (may I mention he can't be older than 5) and the lifeguards didn't notice they were too busy talking to each other there were also not 8 lifeguards as there are supposed to be, so my brother picked this child up and took him to his grandmother also may I mention it wasn't just that one time that my brother and I were bullied and harassed at this water park it was the 3rd time. So from my experience I will never come here again, terrible service, mostly terrible staff, outrageous prices just to get in (it costs almost 200$ just for two people to get in)and don't forget how high the prices are for food, drinks and the gift shop,and most of all terrible guests with nasty attitudes so I don't recommend this water park I recommend wet n wild if you're looking for some place fun with kind people to enjoy your day with family or by yourself.

A nice clean smaller water park with below average "park" prices for tickets and food. Go on a weekday and you will not be disappointed.

Pay attention to your kids people because the life guard's sure won't. Saw a young kid today coming out of the wave pool with a serious bloody nose.

My wife "The Registered Nurse" ran up too him and immediately began to help. She escorted him over to the center life guard podium but the life guard on duty was paying close attention to her cell phone call to notice the injured child. Finally, she noticed and called for help. Several minutes later help arrives.

Six minutes exactly. I used my stop watch on my suunto core watch to time the whole event. Surrounding the wave pool is seven life guard's, NOT ONE LIFE GUARD NOTICED THIS CHILD FOR SIX MINUTES.

Luckily it was only a bloody nose but what if it was much worse like a concussion with a broken nose, then what ? (2) In response to the owners comment below, the approximate date & time was August 10th between the hours of twelve noon and two thirty pm.

It is a nice water park with many slides. However, you have to get rid of all jobs with a tire. I find a disadvantage. The entrance fee is very expensive for what you get in return. Go early then there are spots in the shade

Nice water park. Not very big, but that makes it convenient for walking around. Wave pool is the best part. Entrance fee is on the expensive side in my opinion.

Great for family fun. I took my brother's and it did not disappoint. Will be going again.

2 years ago I gave it 5 stars. Totally deserved rating which made me a regular pass holder for 2 consecutive years.

This year I would give it a one star, so I edited to an overall 3 considering past experiences.

The park is not observing safety regulations as they should. The lines for the rides are packed with people standing at shoulder length from one another.
I simply will not support a business that has little to no sense of social responsibility.
