I would not recommend this place to anyone! Most of the staff are disrespectful, especially the youth that resides there. There has been too much drama in this facility, when it s supposed to be a place to try to get your life together. The staff has let youth stay there who were the cause to the problems that they have with other youth, and they barely try to take you places when they know that you don t have a car but barely want to give you bus tickets. I wouldn t prefer anyone to stay in this place, but if you have no choice, then I would say good luck I guess.

I lived at covenant house about 4 times on their emergency shelter and I must say they were the best youth shelter I had ever been in. I also ended up going into their TLP, which are like mini apartments. Very nice and helpful. Even after I left, they still provide me services such as food, transportation, etc. Very nice!!!!!

I had a savings account with them. When it came to putting money into the account, someone was there to help. When it came to receiving all my money out the account , The counselors wouldn't answer my calls. I would have problems trying to get hold of a counselor to receive all my money. I will never bank with them again.

Recently been at the covenant house , & i must say . . The employees are horrible , every single one . They always have stank attitudes , & hate to help you when you need assistance. I never was on the "bus ticket list" even though in intake i told them i needed transportation for a couple weeks is all & never being told about a list i needed to be on , only said "sure we help w that " , never let me known when meals even were, & i ended up not eating the entire time i was there . I worked late one day & the lady told me straight up "its my shift change so youre out of luck" & i realized at that moment that i made a huge mistake going there. I even tried speaking w the head huncho Ms.Amy I believe , & she never came to speak w me after weeks of looking for her . Then she popped up to put me out for very thing id been reaching out to her for over weeks time for . & Will tell you without hesitation , "Youre not making us enough money so leave ." The whole time i was there not one person asked me how id liked it or even how i was adjusting , they were simply there for a check. Im not saying dont go , but if youve been through things in life , & need true help , & caring people who dont just treat you like a check , go somewhere else sweetheart .

I am a previous resident of Covenant House Missouri, and lived in the Soulard residence. Miss Marsha was amazing. Miss tiffany was too, hahaha. This place took me in off the street, and helped me get on my feet. Now I am living the life i have always wanted, thanks to covenant house.

Bad experience, a lot of the staff were disrespectful (besides the therapists.) Was hung up on while attempting to refill my medicine and was left in a crisis. I'm finding a new place immediately... As a youth becoming an adult I would have hoped for better support but I would have been better off not even trying. :(

About Covenant House-Missouri

Covenant House-Missouri: Providing Hope and Support to Homeless Youth

Covenant House-Missouri is a non-profit organization that provides housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness. The organization was founded in 1972 in New York City, and since then, it has expanded its reach to over 30 cities across six countries. Covenant House-Missouri is one of the many branches of this global organization that aims to help young people transform their lives and put them on a path to independence.

Homelessness among youth is a growing problem in the United States. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, approximately 4.2 million young people experience homelessness each year. Covenant House-Missouri recognizes this issue and works tirelessly to provide shelter, food, clothing, medical care, education, job training, counseling services and more for homeless youth aged between 16-24 years old.

The mission of Covenant House-Missouri is simple yet powerful: "We who recognize God's providence and fidelity to His people are dedicated to living out His covenant among ourselves and those children we serve with absolute respect and unconditional love." This mission statement reflects the core values of the organization - compassion for others regardless of their background or circumstances.

One unique aspect of Covenant House-Missouri's approach is its focus on meeting young people where they are at - both physically as well as emotionally. The staff members work hard every day not only providing basic needs but also building relationships with these vulnerable youths by listening without judgment or criticism.

The programs offered by Covenant House-Missouri are designed specifically for homeless youth who have experienced trauma or abuse in their lives. These programs include:

1) Street Outreach Program: This program involves outreach workers going out into communities where homeless youths congregate such as parks or abandoned buildings offering food & hygiene kits while building trust with them.

2) Crisis Care Program: This program provides immediate assistance when a young person arrives at one of our shelters seeking help.

3) Rights Of Passage (ROP): ROP offers long-term residential care for up-to two years which includes education support & vocational training along with mental health counseling.

4) Rapid Re-Housing Program: This program helps transition young adults from homelessness into permanent housing through rental assistance & case management support.

All these programs aim towards helping homeless youths become self-sufficient individuals who can lead successful lives independently while contributing positively towards society.

In addition to providing essential services like shelter & food; Covenant House Missouri also focuses on developing life skills such as budgeting money management cooking cleaning etc., so that these youths can be better prepared when they leave our facilities.

Covenant house Missouri has been recognized nationally for its work towards ending youth homelessness; receiving awards from organizations like Charity Navigator GuideStar BBB Wise Giving Alliance etc., which speaks volumes about how effective they have been in achieving their goals.

In conclusion; if you're looking for an impactful way you can make a difference in someone's life today consider supporting Covenant house Missouri either through donations volunteering your time or spreading awareness about this amazing organization!
