I've been there a few times and only 1 visit out of the 3 I had good service. They don't state anywhere on the menu the burgers automatically come out medium well which for me was disgusting. Also, I really dislike how the salad bar is a separate bill and is weighed. I may go back but not any time soon. The food is decent but not great.

Delicious food! Excellent service! I ate here 3 days in a row, while visiting Urbana. Each time was as good as the first. I only had a short wait on Sunday morning. The food was truly good and prepared exactly as I ordered it. Can't say enough good things about Courier Cafe.

This is a quaint little place slightly hidden off the main drag that's worth a couple extra steps or the fee to park downtown. The food is amazing. It all seems homemade and I had to make myself stop eating before I exploded. Fresh biscuits and gravy...delectable pancakes with strawberries hidden inside....a homemade syrup with fresh whipped butter...I'll be back for sure.

This place is great and fun and classic. If you're around Urbana or the UIUC campus and need breakfast, lunch, or dinner, swing by for a good, solid meal in an enjoyable environment. Nothing blows you away about this place, but it's just the sort of place that you'll inevitably frequent if you're in town much because it's just plain good.

The cream of spinach soup and burger I got was great! The fries are delicious too. Only 4 stars though because the oreo cheesecake dessert was okay at best. The service was friendly and prompt.

Great place for a birthday lunch. Ordered Reuben which was fantastic and sweet potato fries. 3 of us shared a birthday Sunday. Food was great! (Now all I have to do is work off the calories)

Outstanding! The ham & cheddar scram was nice and fluffy. The omlettes are also very good. Coffee refilled frequently. In house bakery biscuits were tender and flaky. Reasonable prices in a beautiful space. Total winner!

Standard Diner-y fare. Salad bar, burgers, sandwhiches. Food is fine and decent value. Love the milkshakes here. Definitely a stand out. They do it old school and serve you the metal mixing container as well. I would also recommend the dippers (like a potato skin appetizers.

Great salad bar and it's hard to go wrong with most menu selections. Sounds weird to say this, but 25 years ago (hey, to stick around that long is a big positive in the restaurant business) the Courier seemed like a cutting edge, hipster place. Now it has morphed into the comfortable place to go when you don't want to be surprised as it hits middle-age, samedom.

The service, burger, and fries were ok but the milkshake was amazing. It tasted awesome and you get a big glass with whipped cream plus the tin with extra! So good! I would definitely come back just for that.

Favorite restaurant in CU for decades. Our favorites include the sweet potatoe fries, the shakes, and the Courier Burger. They have delicious vegetarian options and delicious breakfast options. The decor is really cool.

We love Courier's breakfast. Not big on the lunch or dinner, but that's not what we go for. The staff is typicaly stellar, with a few exceptions. Haven't had a problem in several months.
