My mother was there for almost a week, she was in ICU all but one of those days and her care and treatment far exceeded any expectations we could of had. From the nursing staff right down to the people in the cafeteria where I was eating my meals. I came from out of state and have been in the medical field for over 30 years and not only did I experience total and complete professionalism, but compassion as well. Chocolate and flowers on the way. Thank you.

My friend's child was in PICU and then was transferred to the Pediatric unit when he was a little better, but not good enough to go home. I spent a lot of time there with him and his mom, and the nurses, physicians, physical therapists and everybody who came in the room were pleasant, friendly and informative. My recent experience with my own child at a large children's hospital in Los Angeles was not near as positive.

The worst experience of my life! I would drive to Los Angeles in the immense pain I was in to avoid ever returning to this hospital The ER was extremely slow, with only 3 other patients in the waiting room. When I asked the woman More

I wonder why some people even get in this field of work. All the nurses act as if you are bothering them would rather have their 4 hour lunch and talk with employees, and lack zero empathy for being so used to death on a daily basis and act like gossiping little junior high kids. It's kinda scary how they can be laughing amongst each other conversing ignoring your family members medical equipment beeping for hours unless someone that has a higher position then them passes by than all of a sudden they run to aid.

Really there are questionable people working here. It's all an act they don't care about your loved ones. Leaving this place that is so beautiful but with such evil lurking within has made me question the human race as a whole and if their are any legitimate people left in this world that care about anything other then themselves.

Though it was a long stay, they were doing the best they could-given it was a pretty busy Tuesday night! I m very appreciative of the good work they did and they helped me not panic and I got the help I needed. I would definitely go here if I needed it, even if it is a few miles farther than the Goleta hospital.

This hospital is dangerous. Be very, very careful. If it is at all possible, go anywhere else. It is inconceivable to me that in a community of such wealth, all that matters to the hospital board is the architecture of the building and not the quality of the medical care. A scandal!

Cottage hospital has been by far the best hospital I have ever dealt with. They took me in imediatly and got me the care I needed and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. They would check in on me and ask me i needed anything and would always keep me informed on what was happening and how I was doing.

Tank you!

My time at cottage here Was great experience. The nurses were professional and doctors were top of the line. I felt safe and everything was okay. The food was remarkable with a hyge varity to choose from. The hospital itself looks amazing and well tended to. When i had to visit my grandpa after his heart attack I was guided by a young volenteer who was a exquisite conversationalist. When I reached the room I was greeted by a staff member who was comforting him(even when we was not the nicest person). Over all my experience with cottage is one of the best

I had to explain to the doctor what postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome is, after he got my history and had an hour or so to look it up if he didn t understand. I also had a nurse tell me she deals with POTS patients all the time and couldn t tell me what it stood for, this place is a joke. If you have more than a scrape on your knee avoid at all costs, too bad I can t give it zero stars.

The emergency room peeps misled me to a large extent about when I would be able to speak to someone about the type of insurance I had until I was footed with a bill I wasn't ready for, even though I had been asking for insurance clarification since the moment I stepped in the ER. Literally every single one of the 3 or 4 hospital staff I spoke with I asked about insurance clarification. I feel like this infringes on my right to understand the services and their costs before being coerced into accepting the services. If I were a wealthier person I would sue over this.

They have serious internal problems, pretty hospital, good food, but, the flow of communication from department to department, is very poor and they need to hire better trained professionals, that like their job. Be respectful of recovering sick people, the nurses laugh and joke and should take their self entertainment off the floor. Be mindful, it is not about you, but, rather the sick patient. Poor infection control, please train the staff and have soap bedside along with drinking water post surgery. The nurses act annoyed, by providing, minimal care at best. Sadly, I have no confidence in the care of these people. It is alarming and even though it is a small town hospital, it's SB step it up..
Go to UCLA for anything serious.

Just got some lab work done and it was a very pleasant experience. A cheerful staff isn't necessary for facilities like these but they sure do help make things more comfortable during your visit.

Second time to stay in this hospital a great experience again, nobody wants to go to a hosp. But if needed I would joyfully come to this one, eleven months ago I was admitted for a brain procedure and after all this time I was recognized and greeted happily by wonderful staff members, Maria Rn and her assistant downstairs, nurse practitioner Beth, Dr Zauner, Dr Miller and his much appreciated sense of humor, all their caring, compassionate nurses, at SICU 4 Trevor Rn, Olivia Rn who stayed up all night and came to check on me every hr. (when does she sleep), Kristen Rn. Kyle Rn, Marcus Ct, Summer Ultra sound You're all wonderful, caring human beings. I'm afraid when I start mentioning names to forget someone's, here's more Luisa from social services, Mandy and her cute Moki and the list will continue when I'm taken out of the ICU to a room where I'm sure will be tended to by other gracious staff members. Oh, and let's not forget the delicious, nutritious meals provided by the very attentive cafeteria personnel. Thank you all for taking Care of me when I wasn't able to. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers forever.

Beware Santa Barbarians. The beloved Cottage Health Company that is touted as a company that does nothing but good is actually the most evil company that could possibly ever exist in Santa Barbara, CA. This company took great pleasure in abusing me for over 8.5 years (as an employee and patient) until I had a complete breakdown, but they didn't stop there. They even continued their harassment campaign once my doctor placed me on medical stress leave. I had lost 60 lbs, my confidence, my hair and my health aftering experiencing retaliation for reported serous racial remarks made by my co-worker. I also reported malicious rumors being spread about the sole black person in the office.

This company BROKE INTO MY HOME while I was on medical leave trying to recover from the 8.5 years of harassment. They stole over 1000 pages of documentation of 8.5 years of abuses leaving behind false less damaging documentation. They stalked me using my google account tracking and hacked all of my personal and private e-mails. They paid off a doctor and had me falsely imprisoned in a psyche ward to diagnose someone without prior mental issues as "paranoid schizophrenic" so that everything they've done to me for all of these years would be overlooked. They have emptied every dropbox account that I hold that contained the documentation of what they did to me.

I have a permanent lifetime injury BECAUSE of this organization, and they continue to meddle in my life though I am no longer employed with the company.

Cottage Employees: Protect yourselves. Document the abuses using an execl timeline, and just know that they wlll log on to your pc to delete these logs and you can call ISD to hear that it is an error that they cannot recover. If you have damning e-mails with abuse, PRINT them and make copies and send it to loved ones because once you need the documentation, Cottage Health will stop at nothing to get it from you. That is the truth.

Dear Cottage Health. I am asking that you discontinue your smear campaign on my life and stop stalking me. You guys are responsible for 9 horrible years in my life and I've completely lost my health. I have been away from your environment and remain sick because of your bullying illegal tactics. I can bring everything to light and I will as I have evidence from all illegal activities that you have committed against me this year. Leave me alone.

I was fortunate enough to wander into their ER with shortness of breath and chest pains. They were very respectful and attentive. After an EKG that looked perfect, they drew blood and found an extremely minor elevation in 1 test.
They immediately assembled a Cath team and were doing a heart Cath on me within a few short hours. The Cath procedure showed that I would need CABG or coronary artery bypass graft surgery, as my total blood flow was approximately at 12%.
The next morning they had me in the OR and they performed a great deal of work on me in about 5 1/2 hours of surgery. At this point I still had been in the hospital barely even 24 hours.
I spent 2 days in ICU and then an additional 3 days in the cardiac ward prior to being discharged.
I must say that these people are the most amazing medical professionals that I have ever dealt with. From the ER to the ICU to the ward and every thing in between, they are the finest, and continually made me feel as if I was the very center of the universe.
They move extremely fast, and accurately, and in the right direction.
I just cannot say enough good things about this hospital and the staff. I thank God that I found this place when I did. Not only did they save my life, they also restored my faith in our healthcare system.
P.S. even the food is amazing!

Absolutely the worst hospitality i have ever encountered. Held my baby in the nicu way to long, and would not listen to anything i tought, did things to her with consulting me nor my wife. Was unbelievably rude to my wife after sugery. I will never go to this place again. I have never been more disappointed in a hospital in my life. Good nurses, but the doctors are absolutely insensitive

I took my 70-year-old husband in last night, 2:30 AM, Saturday-Sunday morning. It helped a whole lot that there were no other patients waiting. He received fast, compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough care throughout the 4-5 hours we were there. Dr. Anderson was a fun, down to earth guy; we talked about the Eastern Sierra and this and that. He said very freely that, Oh, you don t want to stay here any longer than you have to: hospitals are dirty and noisy, and someone comes in every two hours and wakes you up. As he and my hubby shared stories, it turned out that *both* of them had been waved at by President Reagan! Aside from all the banter, his explanations were clear and intelligent. All tests and the reasons for them were carefully explained.

My husband had a trip to the ER while traveling, and this hospital was the closest. For an EKG and a few hours in the ER prior to being completely d/c, AFTER insurance (which pays this type of thing almost entirely) we owe almost 2K. Hospitals like this are what is wrong with our health care system and should be avoided.

For the record, we've experienced exact situations out of town and out of state and never any charge so ridiculous.

Run for the hills. This is the most unethical crooked company in Santa Barbara, CA and they participate in organized crimes against victims who have suffered endless harassment for years and years at their hands. All they care about is their bottom line $$$$, not the patient nor employee.

I'm going to leave a long review, since many reviews leave out details, and I know I appreciate reviews with actual information.

I visited this hospital in June for a abdominal myomectomy, which is to say they essentially gave me a C-Section to remove a 10cm non-cancerous tumor. Since I have never been to a hospital before except for my birth, I was pretty nervous. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, from the janitors (who happily guided me to the elevators when I got lost) to the reception desk, who offered my boyfriend coffee while we waited for my surgery, to the doctors, who were very friendly while I was freaking out, to the nurses who tried not to make me feel bad for crying when I got my IV put in (super terrified of needles).

During my surgery and recovery I was very well taken care of. The nurses and assistants, food service people and whomever was manning the desk, were just so kind and helpful. They tucked me in, did their best to keep me comfortable- and its not like I'm rich AT ALL, so sorry to whomever said poor people get bad service and die there.

I haven't had any problems with my insurance and the hospital bills, in fact the hospital refused to take payment until my insurance was completely done processing everything. It's been months and no one has bothered me for unpaid bills, as some other places I've been.

They have contacted me repeatedly (but not harassment level) to ensure that I am completely satisfied with my care. They asked me to rate the anesthesiologist, to ensure I was fully informed of all things, they asked me to rate the rooms and the service, cleanliness, taste of the food, pain level, everything.

And the food is amazing. I was nervous, always hearing about 'hospital food' Yeah, right, I have had worse food at popular restaurants!

My only gripe was that my roommate was really loud and crazy (she was watching Trump and Hillary, I mean come on.), and I wish they had kicked her out, but she was being moved out a mere two hours after I got there anyway, so that's probably why they didn't tell her to shut up. Plus I was intensely out of it, so it wasn't THAT bad.

Overall, I was very happy with all aspects of the hospital. So there.

Took my very elderly mother in for X-rays- she needs assistance understanding what she is being told - due to hearing problems she only gets about half. I was NOT able to accompany her into the hospital even though I called last week to make sure we could do a walk-in. I am extremely unhappy that they will tell her things and I know they will just assume she understands. (And she won t and Cottage WILL BE AT FAULT) I am also aware this is for her protection but so is my accompanying her is also for the hospitals protection. This is totally unacceptable and I will no longer recommend.

I was recently a patient in the neurology department at cottage Hospital. The service was nothing short of amazing. They literally saved my life. The staff was caring, considerate and inclusive with my family during a medically induced coma the last three weeks. Their skill and expertise have given me a new lease on life.

I went in to the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara...

I went in to the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after feeling like I was going to faint a couple times the day before and was experiencing shortness of breath. I had recently been treated for pneumonia so they did some blood work and a chest xray. The doctors that treated me were completely negligent in my treatment because of my age (25). They took one look at my xray, and said it was clear, and kicked me out before looking at the radiologists report that pointed out a lung nodule on my xray. Turns out, I had a 2.4 cm nodule revealed by a ct scan in the following weeks. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the doctors at Cottage in the Emergency Department, and there lack of care in treating there patients. I would have hoped that someone that worked in the medical field would at least care enough about people to do there job decently. My Dr's name was John Anis. I would be suing this hospital and the doctor who neglected my health if I had the time and the funds to do so. Everyone, please ensure you are receiving proper care when at this hospital because some Doctors don't care.

I was very hesitant to write this because it's been a year now since my father in law passed away and I thought it best to just "let it go" but ultimately I decided this was impossible to forget. My hope is that someone will read this and things might change. Maybe the next CEO or businessman/woman will be spoken to as they've been accustomed, respectfully. Although my father in law was well taken care of by all staff, the nurses (many of them) would refer to him as "Buddy". It made me cringe every time. This was a very successful CEO and respectable man....Never has anyone spoken to him in such a manner, let alone any cute nick names. I think the nurses have to be more sensitive to the manner in which they speak to their elderly patients and show respect for the lives they've lived. Sir or Mr. So and So would be more appropriate. It would be great to have some back round information on the patient so that staff have a better handle on just who this person is occupying the room.

I had knee surgery at Cottage Hospital. Room were extremely clean, nurses answered calls promptly. I have very sensitive skin and in the middle of the night I started itching terribly. They called my doctor and he order new sheets and towels for people who have allergies. After they changed the sheets no more itching. The food was the best I have had at any hospital in fact most restaurants. Filet Mignon, baked potatoes, fresh asparagus. Outstanding. The doctor or one of his associates checked on me twice a day. I will need the other knee operated on this year and we not consider going to another hospital.
I am Barbara Sell, the patient...even though it shows up at George Sell my husband.

If you are looking for professional compassionate ...

If you are looking for professional compassionate care for yourself or your family member do not come to cottage. There have been a number of mistakes made with my Husband s care that absolutely nobody will acknowledge. He has students taking care of him a majority of the time and none of them have any idea how to act when someone is seriously ill. He needs rest and they come in knocking loudly and having conversations that are not medically necessary. Then today the student hung his IV antibiotics wrong and they tried to cover it up by saying it was back flow. Very terrifying that a teacher will lie to try to cover up a mistake. What she was saying happened was not physically possible. Then to try to get some time and calm from the day we go to get food for me because they charge $20 to bring guest plates to the room no matter what you order. A lady rudely stopped my husband and says patients are not allowed in the cafeteria. What??? The reason was not explained and there is nothing posted saying this. This person did not care how embarrassing this would be for us. But they don t care how you feel whether you are a patient or a family member. Third rate care is a generous description of what you will get here. We are trapped for the time being. Don t let this happen to you. If for any reason you have the misfortune to end up here, do your research for anything they try to give you because they do not. And watch everything they do because they will mix up doses and meds, even patients and then lie to protect themselves. I will drive literally anywhere else in the future to avoid anything related to cottage.

Unfortunately my stay here was a lot longer than I planned, almost 30 days.

But the medical care I required was provided in a very professional manor, and resulted in a favorable outcome for me.

The nurses at the hospital are some of the sweetist people I have meet.

They treated me with kindness, and compassionn that you would exspect if a family member was looking after you.

I had just moved Goleta, California, from NJ, but unfortunately soon discovered I had a root canal infection. I had no other choice but to visit the Goelta Valley Cottage hospital. With no avail my visit was useless, as they could not provide any beneficial services. I provided my insurance nonetheless therefor I would not be charged a bill for simply stopping by. My insurance paid the bill and that was that. However, two weeks later my root canal infection got rapidly worse. Out of desperation, I had visited the Santa Barabara Valley Cottage hospital a few miles away since it was closest to my job. I was simply told after they took down my insurance, and sat for an hour to see a doctor that they cannot assist me or provide any real services seeing as though they were clearly not a dentist office. I was discharged and went about my day. A week later I was soon sent a bill for $279.30. I was confused and upset to find out I was being billed when I provided my insurance. They denied any record of my insurance being on file when in reality they had it on file from my previous visit at the Goleta chain, and even when I had provided it again that second visit. I've contacted my insurance regarding this bill, and they've stated it has been paid. As months went by, I was contacted this bill has been sent to collections and with built up interest. With complete shock, I asked why my bill went to collections, with the response of "my insurance has denied paying this bill." My insurance has stated otherwise with proof of the bill being paid. Santa Barbara Valley Cottage hospital, would not get in touch with my insurance no matter how many letters and calls they recieved. I paid collections in order to avoid bad credit. It has now being going through the claims department from my insurance and will hopefully soon be sorted out with a full reimbursement from my insurance. Overall, my experience with Santa Barbara Cottage hospital has been completely traumatic on me emotionally and financially. It made me fear ever stepping foot in a hospital out of NJ. The staff was extremely rude, and for the most part quiet and blank faced. They clearly misinformed me, apparently never took down my insurance, and have been unreceptive the whole time. I pity those who live in Santa Barbara County, that's the worst hospital I ever had the displeasure of stepping foot in. Beware!

Their unbending covid rules are cruel. My mother is in comfort care at the end of her life and only 1 visitor is allowed per day. Our family may not all be able to see her before she passes. Our requests are falling on deaf ears.

I am so incredibly disappointed in this place!!! I felt and feel I am in a time warp or the " Twilight Zone". I am not alone, I spoke to many other patients while here for my daughter's birth of her first child.
God help any and all that have no choice but to utilize this facility!!
This is not the end of my disgruntled, I am definitely taking this further.....

Can't say enough sterling compliments about the quality of care, the cleanliness of the hospital, the delicious and nutritious meals, and all the staff that go to make this a hospital truly a gift to Santa Barbara. Being a retired RN, I can easily recognize quality and consistency. This was my second visit and my experience was nothing but impressive.

I would prefer another doctor to review: the results of the same brain scan again, Dr Vowels's procedure, exact dosage of the invasive rays, radioactive substance called a tracer which was used on me (which should be time stamped by the equipment system).
I do not have enough confidence from this visit
He was not thorough with other injuries on the back of my neck.. either

I just had a horrible experience at Cottage Hospit...

I just had a horrible experience at Cottage Hospital (Pueblo location)!!! My 30-year-life partner miraculously survived an outside of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) on Thursday and somehow lived. The paramedics arrived and he received excellent Emergency Department care (this review in no way has to do with his care). Because of COVID, I had to deal with this tragedy outside in the hospital parking lot, which I understand. No visitors are allowed inside, and I think this is a good idea. However, my partner was one of the fortunate 5-10 percent to survive an OHCA, and had the sheer luck to make it out of MICU three days later into a regular hospital room, so I don't understand why I can't stand outside his window (many feet away) and talk to him on my cell phone for five minutes. Seriously?!! Are the main entry hospital gatekeepers totally heartless? Me, my brother-in-law, and sister were standing on pavement.... We didn't scale a wall or trample flowers. We literally had no idea we were doing anything wrong. No signs posted. Nothing. The employee even said to our stunned faces that we were on private property and security would come out to talk to us as WE WERE SILENTLY LEAVING. This behavior is unacceptable; the rule stupid. My heart, which did not have an attack, is breaking that a hospital employee could be so cruel and heartless. If this is indeed a hospital policy, it should be POSTED and politely enforced. Plus, exceptions should be made in the case of near-death trauma, so that loved ones can feel loved and supported. Shame.

I was there twice in the last 2 months. My first stay was for 2 weeks in April 13-27. I was there for acute kidney failure. The attention from the staff was awesome! I was there long enough to experience many of the nurses and aids and ALL of them were polite, kind, understanding, compassionate, uplifting and their bedside manner was awesome. My room had an area where my wife slept and never left my side which obviously helped and comforted me in my treatment and recovery. The food was awesome. They managed my food according to my condition which also helped in my treatment and recovery. My next stay was last weekend. I had 2 surgeries but only stayed 2 days and the recent visit mirrored the first stay. I have nothing but high praise for Cottage Hospital it's staff and it's doctors and Surgeons. God bless them all!

My sister died here. They administered chemo over and over and over. Towards the end, chemo would not help her live longer, it would only cause more horrible sickness, and death. My sister had improvement, but they wanted to keep her in the hospital longer to administer chemo. She never went home. Was the most heartwrenching news to hear. The chemo did nothing to extend her life, it only made her sick due to it being nothing but a deadly toxic 'medicine', was extremely costly, and a facade it will help kill cancer cells to extend your life. The doctor pushed chemo over and over for the short time she lived after the cancer diagnosis. Although, they told her it would help her live longer. It didn't, but it made her violently sick for the time she was alive.

I was in the 5 east ward for detox recovery and the staff there was so great to me I could not ask for better care that was given to me. The counseling group ,activitys really helped me a lot and the 12 step meating helps as well. There was yoga classes and music groups to help with the your breathing. The my physician and doctor really help me get my medication under control. The food there was great like a 5 star restraint there where snakes all time. The facility was very clean. I had a great time there and recovered from my addiction. I got lot of support from e the staff here and I thank them all for the help that was given to me.

Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara is amazing. I was here for a couple of days after an accident and I can't tell you how wonderful it was. We have joked ever since that if we ever have to be in the hospital we shouldn't drive Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The room was very large with a huge television and a couch that turned into a bed for family. The food was like dining in a restaurant. Choices that you can't even imagine being on a hospital menu, steak, quinoa salad, cheesecake.
The staff is so attentive and amazing as well. I couldn't believe how quickly they got me in and looked at and admitted once they needed to keep me overnight. This hospital has so many windows and natural light it does not even feel like you're in a hospital. It is absolutely wonderful. The way they also handled my care was amazing. Before I was released multiple departments checked me out make sure we completely understood everything and they delivered all of my records in a nice folder that kept everything in one place including a CD for any x-rays and tests I had. When I later needed some more information it was a simple phone call and I had it in 10 minutes via email.

Going to this hospital is like going to a 5 Star hotel! Seriously! You are spoiled rotten & feel like you are living in the lap of luxury waited on hand & foot, unlike other hospitals where you can t get immediate medical attention when you are experiencing any kind of a problem. The staff are amazing! The food is amazing! The ambiance outside of your room is amazing with beautiful foliage everywhere! The menu has a good selection & a great variety of choices, definitely not horrible hospital food! I would highly recommend this hospital if you ever require a surgery that needs to be done!

Husband was listing to the side, couldn t see out of his right eye, suffering from severe headaches , memory interruptions and eventually throwing up at 1am. I kept Fighting for the CT scan and 4 hours later the Dr. came in to tell us he had 5 brain tumors. My husband was gravely I ll so They admitted him. Thank God I insisted as the advocate for his life. We spent 9 more trips in the next year with fall out from the Immune Therapy and Sterotatic Gamma Knife Radiation. But in the end my husband is in remission NED ( no evidence of disease) He s really a walking miracle so just remember the Doctors are just highly educated people and brilliantly gifted but they don t have your family history at their fingertips so it s up to you to fight and push them for your love ones life depends on it. We are so grateful for Cottage and the ER teams that helped save my husbands life

My husband has had brain surgery there, and they refuse to give him enough pain medication to make the severe pain go away so he can heal, and they let him sleep in his wet bed all night. They don't do anything he asks of them, and he feels no one is there during the night shift because they will not answer him. Terrible place. Second time. Both aweful experiences.

When my procedure changed from being at a surgical...

When my procedure changed from being at a surgical center to having to be at a hospital I wasn't thrilled. Add to the fact that Corona cases were growing and being flu season anyway, the idea of being in a hospital freaked me a bit. The experience was very good and I would choose Cottage Hospital if I needed to be in a hospital again. Staff was attentive and caring from admissions on through to my procedure and hospital room stay.
The pre-op wait was long (no one's fault) yet they allow family and friends back to wait with patients, which is nice. The nurse putting in my IV needed to call in a more senior nurse after two failed attempts to run a line. Ouch. But it all worked out.
I didn't see much of the operating room because I was knocked out almost immediately. Heh.
The recovery room had a useful clock at the ceiling. Was I really out for 7 hours?
I was wheeled a reasonable distance to my room (I've worked in hospitals before and some have patient rooms a great distance from treatment, lab and operating facilities).
Most rooms, as I was told are private. With a few doubles. The chair and couch fold out for family to stay if needed. There was a couch in the closet for the surgeon to use when he came. My room had a pleasant view of the inner courtyard. The place was quiet too which I appreciated. I had to call for assistance (had nifty leg massager things on my legs that had to be undone) every time I need to go to the bathroom.
Since the kitchen had already closed I was told a set meal (for after hours cases like mine) would be found. Probably a sandwich. I thanked the attendant though added if it were a sandwich I probably wouldn't eat it. What I really wanted was broccoli. I knew I needed roughage and wanted to take care of my bowels right away. Ala, wasn't I happily surprised when the attendant brought me a roast chicken and broccoli plate. I picked on that throughout the night.
The menu is fairly good. Though I would have liked to have been able to order salmon and vegetables for breakie instead of the usual carb heavy fare. One of the nurses suggested the steak. Sorry it was roast beef. Tasty but not a filet. The hospital cafeteria was pretty good I heard. With sufficient choices. We brought in our own ginger beer for the drug induced nausea. The HFC syrup option the hospital had wasn't going to work for me. But they still score high for food IMO.
The gift kiosk was nice. My friend picked up a piece of locally made jewelry and a box of Sees.
I should add the facility is undergoing major renovations (I saw some of the old part when I was getting pre-op labs). My procedure and stay were in the new part. It's really a lovely boutique hospital.

I paid up front and in full for a surgery i had two years ago. I had a very clear conversation with the billing about the "up front" and "in full" and paid them prior to my surgery. To my amazment, a few months after the surgery i recieved a bill larger than the ammount i paid whoch depicted my bill as a "down payment." They even fradulently tacked on an insurance discount. I do not have insurance. If you can avoid this despicable and immoral institution get your surgeries done elsewhere. They will screw you.

This is the worst hospital you could possibly go too. All this money and they don t do a single thing to help anyone In need with it. Daughter but through her lip they didn t even get us checked in after 4 hours we had to go somewhere else. My wife just went in and needs an mri and they told her they will not do anything unless she was dying or had covid. What is the point of a hospital is they do absolutely nothing. Complete joke will never return here again even if I m dying. Knowing how they treat people (which they don t) you would be dead before they got to you.

I've eaten at Cottage Hospital several times. I know it's odd but I actually just drop in there for food. Most of the food is so healthy! I've had beets with apricots that were to die for and I've never tasted quinoa until I was visiting there. I love it! You can either sit indoors and a very lovely Cafe or you can sit outside in the sun in a gorgeous area.

Today I had quinoa and tomato, cucumber and onion salad. The quinoa was great. I was expecting my tomato, cucumber salad to be sour with vinegar. It was not but it was still wonderful.

Only giving one star because of the recent experience I had with the billing department, the hospital is great and they took great care of me. The problem is I don't have insurance and was making payments on my bills that were sent to me, well when this Virus thing hit I was layed off from work and called them and ask for a discount if I payed it off on my credit card and they said no. Sorry but that's just lame and would probably owe nothingif I was homeless or an illegal

But the waiting time it's a nightmare They bring my daughter to the room and 1 hour later Dr show up to see her, she explained what is going on and after 2 hours, Dr came to do the procedure didn't take more then 15 minutes In my own opinion y they go do a pracedure that doesn't take more then 20 minutes they can done before and empty the room with worse condition .
