The best hotel in the Abetone area. Great interior design and furniture. Nice rooms, beds, bathrooms and balcony in the Family room with 2 bathrooms. Fine dining restaurant with many seafood dishes well prepared. Nice wine list. Very nice SPA and great hot tub area with multiple tubs. I love the external hot tub surrounded by snow. Dry sauna and Turkish bath. At the end of the ski season the baths area needed some work and repairs. Good playroom for kids with many toys but odd older guy as the animator. Staff very friendly and efficient. Remenber the prices of what you buy and charge on your room. I got my final bill a little overcharged but they were quick to take off some charges that i didn't agree with. Final room rate, wine price error and dessert charges. Consider that i got a nice low rate for the Family room so maybe they got confused.

Great find. The place is stunning and the rooms lovely. The only downside for me was that I came to relax and wanted to spend time just chilling in the spa. However for long periods of time the spa was over run by children.

Great hotel and rooms and very attentive staff across the whole hotel. Everyone makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. This was our 3rd visit and it was good to see the same VDL team. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we did not have any complaints at all. The food was great as usual and the included breakfast fantastic for the ski day ahead. We left early for our flight and the reception had a breakfast bag which was also very good.

Whilst we had a great break and this was our 3rd visit, we found that the day conferences that the resort had organised for various companies were very intrusive and sometimes noisy. The conferences also meant that you could not use the lounge and we along with other guests were either confined to the bar, or the reception seating. If business conferences are to continue on the scale we saw then the hotel should invest in another other lounge for guests to enjoy.

In conclusion, a good hotel but spoilt by business conferences when you actually go away to relax. Guest lounge required!

I'm travelling with my 2 kids 14 and 10, doing a small trip around Northern Italy. We thought it would be a good idea to do some skiing too. We don't like crowded places so we thought Abetone, at this time of a year, is a good option. More
