Climbing center with very well thought out routes, all kinds of difficulty! Very cool Boulder wall to practice.
Unfortunately on the hr we climbed, it was absurdly crowded and the environment is NOT ventilated. The smell and the air in the place were horrible. I would only go back with the empty / medium location

My climbing gym for the last decade. How lucky are we for having such a good local gym in campus! Great membership price subscription. Warm helpful staff. Good diversity of bouldering, top rope, and lead routes. Ratings more difficult than other gyms would probably rate maybe due to local connection to the gunks.

About Cornell Outdoor Education

Cornell Outdoor Education: A Comprehensive Guide to Outdoor Learning and Adventure

Cornell University Student and Campus Life is committed to providing students with a holistic educational experience that goes beyond the classroom. One of the ways they achieve this is through Cornell Outdoor Education (COE), an organization that offers a wide range of outdoor learning opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Founded in 1972, COE has been providing experiential education programs for over four decades. Their mission is to inspire personal growth, leadership development, and environmental stewardship through outdoor experiences. They believe that by connecting people with nature, they can foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world while also developing important life skills.

COE offers a diverse range of programs designed to meet the needs of different groups. For example, their Adventure Leadership Program provides training in technical skills such as rock climbing and backpacking while also emphasizing leadership development. This program is ideal for those who want to develop their outdoor skills while also gaining valuable leadership experience.

Another popular program offered by COE is their Wilderness First Responder course. This intensive eight-day course teaches participants how to respond effectively in emergency situations in remote wilderness settings. Participants learn how to assess injuries and illnesses, provide basic first aid treatment, manage environmental emergencies such as hypothermia or heat stroke, and evacuate patients safely.

In addition to these more technical programs, COE also offers a variety of recreational activities such as hiking trips or canoeing expeditions. These trips are open to all skill levels and are designed to be fun and enjoyable experiences that allow participants to connect with nature while exploring new places.

One unique aspect of COE's programming is their focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship. They believe that it's not enough just to enjoy nature; we must also work actively towards preserving it for future generations. To this end, they incorporate lessons on Leave No Trace principles into all their programming so that participants learn how best practices for minimizing human impact on natural environments.

COE's commitment extends beyond just educating individuals; they are also involved in research projects aimed at understanding the impacts of outdoor education on personal growth and development as well as environmental conservation efforts more broadly.

Overall Cornell Outdoor Education provides an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for adventure or wanting develop new skills outside traditional classroom setting .
