About Coremedic
CoreMedic develops and manufactures devices and therapies to address the treatment of heart valve diseases. It offers ChordArt, a mitral valve repair system which focuses on the minimally invasive, trans-femoral repair at the beating heart.
CoreMedic is developing two systems which facilitate delivery and deployment of the implant. Additionally, it provides ChordArt S, which reduces invasiveness of the surgical procedure by repairing the valve in a way which allows the surgeon to focus on the procedure and timing rather than manually placing the sutures to repair the valve; and ChordArt C which allows for the valve repair to be carried out via the vascular route through a tiny incision in the groin.
CoreMedic began operation in June 2012. It has its headquarters in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland.
