We really enjoyed ourselves last night. The food was a little slow, but that can be expected with any new restaurant and some growing pains.
Our drinks (craft beer, cocktail, and wine) were great. Food was delicious. My meatloaf portion was gigantic. Our server was Brandon and he was super helpful in decision making, plus just pleasant in general.
The atmosphere is gorgeous and comfortable which is hard to pull off, but makes for an inviting scene.
We'll be back, but next time with our husbands.

We sat at an outdoor table with an umbrella for shade. The weather was perfect and the scenery was spectacular. We were seated immediately and were greeted by Jessica, our very friendly and attentive server. My husband got shrimp and grits; I got salmon. The food was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. Very enjoyable experience!

Very conveniently located beside the Westlake waterfront hotel on Smith Mountain Lake. Open till 8:30pm Wed to Sunday, serving lunch and dinner. Many diners are locals who boat in and eat. We got there at 7 pm and we're seated by 7:06. Food was served 20 minutes later. Try the mussels in angel hair, that was good! Hush puppies seemed burnt and a little salty but then we didn't know what to expect anyway. Friendly service.

Great food. Very pricey for pasta dishes with chicken and shrimp.

Took friends for lunch and our friends did not eat because the food was terrible. Our daughter ordered pizza and threw it up. They were out of even the basic like French fries. Will not be a repeat customer.

Don't let the website fool you. Excellent website. Doesn't match the experience at all. Wow. Where to begin? Well, it took 20 minutes just for a server to notice us. And no, they were not busy with only 4 tables in the whole place and two servers on the floor. Not to mention the manager who sat us said he'd be back with bread...never came back. That same manager was also dumping the leftover drinks from dirty tables into the lake. Finally an overworked waitress came by and took the whole order. Sky was very nice but needed help. The food was then brought out and sat on a dirty table next to us before being plopped down in front of us. The food was absolutely not worth the wait. The "lump crab cakes" were actually claw and backfin with a lot of filling and a poor atempt at a remoulade didn't make them any less dry. The chef's vegetables were a salty joke if anything. Clearly, they don't do the green beans to order. I was so hungry I ate the overdone mahi though. But the rice pilaf was probably rice-a-roni with carrots. My son's food, the catfish, was flavorless and then my daughter's burger was charred burnt when asked for medium. All in all...you're paying for an overpriced view which was beautiful, but not worth the drive...even if your close by. We won't be back.

Had a wonderful dinner tonight. Party of 12 and plenty of room.

Small menu, but each item was delicious. Service wasn't great, went awhile before we were checked on.

Meatloaf meal was very good, burger was burned not so good, sweet potato fries were good , pricey

Good service, meatloaf was excellent. Little cool but air was not blowing on us.

Growing pains? Really liked this place as Dock-its and was very pleased when new owners brought in Copper Kettle. Impressed us as a new business when they reopened but after a Father s Day visit this weekend I am skeptical if kettle can keep it going. Food was sub-par and wait staff was very overwhelmed when they had more than two tables each.

Review of our order:
-hush puppies: Great!
-Fish Sampler: not what it once was. At $21 it was well worth it a year ago for two to split. On this visit the shrimp were micro-sized (well below popcorn as they previously offered large size). Crab cake was good, catfish was good but filets were tiny and soggy.
-tartar sauce: heavy on the mayo light on the relish
-cocktail sauce: now here s one of our issues on this visit. It fell over on the way to the table but the server decided to not replace. Upon asking for some what arrived resembled salsa. It was cocktail sauce but it was gelatinous and chunky. Not appealing, clearly over chilled.

-burger: straight from Sysco frozen foods or similar. Not local and not fresh. Mustard provided was honey mustard. (With so many local cattle operations in franklin and Bedford county it s a shame if any local business doesn t source locally.)

-salad: tomatoes we very under ripe.

-baked potato: kitchen forgot it and then clearly microwaved it to catch-up.

All and all a poor food visit. The owners are always nice and a pleasure to visit but the food quality needs to improve. I thought they hired a chef formerly from the waterfront. Maybe they have since left.

Unlikely to return but I hope they improve as we love boating up to the top of the lake for a good meal.

Burger was yummy and the decor is greatly improved from previous owners. -1 Parking is still difficult

Little hot inside as if AC unit wasn't working that great but the food was really good.

Food is excellent, ordered the Ribeye and hush puppies. All killer food. Definitely worth the trip! Crab cakes and beef stroganoff are also a major hit.

Our first experience...5 of us plus a baby...food was fabulous, great waitress (Jessica), and timely!!! Highly recommend!!!

Nice restaurant on the lake. Enjoyed our lunch, food was good and the staff were friendly.

The catfish basket was lightly breaded and delicious, my wife had the kettle burger and it was also delicious. The triple chocolate cake was unbelievable. A bit pricy, but you kind of expect that on the lake.
