Loved this place.. things becomes easier if you download the wetherspoon app and order ur food and pay online and get ur food on ur table. Nice ambience..

Had a good time, steak was good. Good value for 2 steaks and bottle wine. Staff were very helpful.

Fab breakfast & free refils of tea and coffee. A very enjoyable visit.

5pm viset. too much swearing from customers. not a place to take children to eat

Very good for food,great selection of side dishes to main meals and extras,great selection of beers wines and spirits served in a place with great atmostphere and extremely good staff who can help.with anything you may require well.worth a visit.

Went here as a quick stop to grab a bite to eat before heading off to the Empire Theatre, place is like any other Wetherspoons, cheap food at good standard, staff are excellent also.

First Wetherspoons i have been in that had a dance floor. Kids only alliwed till 20:30 then they needed to out of the venue. Typical Wetherspoons.

Was more or less as I'd have expected. The lad on the floor seemed like he was having a rough time of things, and one of the drinks I ordered was forgotten, but it certainly could've been a lot worse.

The food was spot on didn't have to wait long either

On a health issue I watched a waitress spot the contents of her mouth into another member of staff hand , then he proceeded to pull a pint for a member of the public . If this was not bad enough I asked to speak to the manager who is called Liam ( duty manager) who clearly knows little about health and safety and cross contamination , people eating food should not be subject to these practices . The waitress when approached about this matter was scared to admit that she was forced to spit in the other member of staffs hand . However she did admit that this had happened. Beware if your eating or drinking in this place . I will be writing to the higher establishment !

Great selection as you would expect from a Wetherspoons but the older staff don't seem to have their mind on the job.. you get asked 2 or 3 times " sorry what was it you ordered ?" Or they are chatting between each other ! Which is so annoying ... Or coughing with no apology !! .I'm 50 so I'm definitely not ageist at all but it seems bars need the young folks these days .. maybe too much to tend to ordering and remembering food and drinks for us oldies !!

Visited pub today and asked for a coffee, I was handed an empty cup and informed the coffee machine was behind me! I wasn't aware this is a self service pub! Would I be able to go behind the bar and help myself to a vodka or two??I again asked for a coffee and asked the barman to do the honours which he did reluctantly . Perhaps if I serve myself next time I will not have to pay the full price? Not a pub I will be returning to anytime soon (pub wasn't busy so no excuse for shabby service)

At first our steaks were underdone but a Huge thank you to JULIE who had the problem recified and supplied free drinks. Julie you are a star.

Just another wetherspoons. Good range of inexpensive ales, good gin selection and decent food. If you have ever been to a spoons you know what you're going to get here.

Waited for an hour and a half before I finally received the skimpiest burger I've ever seen.

This a good place to go on a night out in Sunderland. The drinks are cheap but they do have a good selection. There is good music here on a night if you want to go out for a dance. It can get a bit packed on a night though especially on a weekend.
