Contemporary Motor Cars is hands down the best dealership i've been to. From the moment i stepped into the dealership to receiving the car it was nothing but a pleasure to work with Brandon Founds and the Contemporary Motor Cars team. Brandon went above and beyond to get me into a new Mercedes and accommodated every step of the way. I've had an Audi and a BMW before this and this was the best leasing experience i've ever had. If you're looking for a new Mercedes-Benz your first and only stop should be Contemporary Motor Cars and be sure to ask for Brandon Founds!
Not only is the dealership great, but their service department is just a good and will provide you with amazing loaner cars. They do what they can to keep you happy and satisfied. Overall great dealership and service departments and would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Ever since my best friend picked me up in a Merced...

Ever since my best friend picked me up in a Mercedes sedan after getting our learners permit, I have always wanted a Mercedes. Even from the young age of 16, I loved the way the car drove. Sure, we put that hand-me-down through a good amount of wear and tear, smoking Marboro light 100 s (we thought that was cool) and jumping curbs. There was nothing that the car couldn t do, and no place it couldn t take us.

Now, over 20 years later (eight of which I was car-less living in Manhattan), I began my search for my very own Mercedes SUV. Of course, my priorities have changed from my younger self. Now I am interested in how the car would handle in the snow and ice and how it would handle driving up a mountain or two!

I have to admit, I originally went with Contemporary Motor Cars because of the location. It has always been in Little Silver and I grew up visiting Luigi s for pies to eat down the beach club in the summer.

However, from the moment I connected with Chris, I knew I was going to lease my first Mercedes from him.

Thank you, Chris, for making my childhood dream a reality. I love everything about my new car, not to mention that my 4 month old Rhodie, Ella, approves as well!

I went to multiple Mercedes dealerships looking for a car. Contemporary, in my humble opinion, was the most helpful, had the best deal and didn't use any high pressure sales tactic. Chris Manrell was my salesperson and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Took the time to answer all my concerns and worked with to get the deal I wanted.

My salesperson Tim and the entire dealership went above and beyond to make my car buying experience amazing. I had been with another dealership for 15 plus years, but had never had the same kind of experience that Contemporary provided. Hats off to a dealership that truly knows how to treat a customer and follow through with all promises made. I have found a new home with Contemporary!

I just want to say that my service manager, Bob did an excellent job. He explained everything in great detail and he appeared to go above and beyond in his commitment to service to me. I have owned a Mercedes for almost ten years, including my present vehicle purchased at Contemporary, and I can say unequivocally that the service I receive there is far and above any other place I have been.

This dealership should be the model for all to follow suit. Jonathan the AMG Specialist takes time out of His extremely busy day to come to me and pick up my G63 for service and provides me with a loaner. The vehicle arrives at the Service department and within seconds I receive a text saying so. The vehicle get back to me with a bill lesser than i was told. They fixed things they didn't have to fix. Joe in Service is another class act. It is true, the service you get will sell more cars. That organization is 1st Class in every aspect. Sales and Service should be a 10 Star rating...JP you are the most professional in all you do. a huge thank you.

I have purchased two convertibles from Contemporary Motor Cars in Oceanport. Tim Welsh is extremely knowledgeable in explaining all the features of a new Mercedes. I would highly recommend him as an outstanding member of the sales team. My service manager Michael Deusch is also extremely knowledgable & a pleasure to work with.

I brought my 2002 S430 to Contemporary for service for the first time. Everything was done right and the car was returned in great shape as promised. I think I am going to become a loyal customer. Bringing the car here for service will give it a longer life. Got a chance to chat with the service manager as well as the service specialist. Nice, knowledgeable and efficient.

Started off as a wonderful experience with Contemporary Motor Cars, during the buying process I felt extremely comfortable and was actually handled by one of the owners, Scott Coleman. My issues are not with the way I was handled by Scott , but with the after sale presentation and the extended warranty that was pitched to me as covering, verbatum, "everything but tires, brakes, wipers, fuses, fluids, you know, normal wear and tear". Well I must tell you that I have had "many" service issues that were unexpected during the first couple of years and had to deal with bringing the vehicle in for service and going without a vehicle for longer than usual time frames. I dealt with the fact that there were not loaner vehicles available and had to make other arrangements for my business transportation needs. My reason for sharing today is the extended warranty fiasco that I have entailed when trying to get service on integral components of my steering system that have prematurely failed and should have lasted for the life of the vehicle. It is not covered and what irks me is the way they decipher on coverage. First you have to get it diagnosed at the dealer, then the dealer has to call into Mercedes warranty department, describe the diagnosis and then a decision is made. In my case, my steering went and the entire RACK system needs to be replaced, now the funny thing is, there are words in the fine print that stipulate what is covered and what is not. But I am not a mechanic or an engineer, so I blindly paid thousands of dollars for the "peace of mind" that I thought I was buying. My steering system is failing and that is not covered, unbelievable. My suggestion, buy your vehicle from CMC, but stay away from the extended warranties, chances are you won't need it, but if you do, there will be wording that prevents you from being covered and you will have to pay out of pocket. Some peace of mind!

Brandon Founds was my sales person and was nothing short of professional and accomodating in every which way. I Just wish NJ lived up to that standard then more people could afford to buy & maintain of course then I drive a 10 year old diesel E class and I love it and I will not be having any other car any other way.

I currently have my 5th Mercedes Benz. A 2018 E43....

I currently have my 5th Mercedes Benz. A 2018 E43. The car is wonderful however it's never on the road. I purchased the 20" wheel package because I loved the way it looked. The salesperson mentioned that the wheels are a little delicate and I should purchase the $1800 wheel package which I did.

Fast forward to 22 months later. The car has blown about a dozen wheels and it's never on the road. When that happens, the warranty company takes about a week to replace the wheel. Soon after, it happens again.

I have pleaded my case to the dealership and MB corporate. They could care less! I have asked for them to replace the wheels with the stock wheels and they refuse. I asked them to take the car back and replace it. No chance! This is not only an inconvenience but it's very dangerous. If a wheel blows while I'm on the parkway the car will probably lose control and crash. The dealer and manufacturer can care less. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because they usually put me in a loaner car (which is half of my $100,000 E43).

I tried everything because I didn't want it to go legal but time is up. I have begun legal action against the dealer and manufacturer. Undoubtedly, my 15 year run with MB will be over and I hope nobody else has to deal with this embarrassment.

Called regarding ordering a new key for my car as I misplaced mine. Was told the cost of the key was going to be ~$600 prior to the cost of programming and cutting the key. Also, even though Mercedes can program the car without seeing it they have the policy that the car must be brought in so I was going to have to tow it there. In addition, I'd have to order a new registration from the DMV since they'd need to see it and mine was locked in the car.

Frustrating situation to be in but I know Contemporary Motor Cars doesn't set the prices or the policy so no harm on them. What did drive me off the wall however was speaking with the parts department. I mentioned how Mercedes really has a racket in the key department because they make it so no outside party can program the key and then charge almost double a similar brand Lexus. Clearly I was frustrated with the situation that I was going to be carless for about 2 weeks and replacing two keys plus towing charges were going to cost me ~$1,500 and instead of sympathizing he went on an out of touch tangent about how the charges were really nominal and not that big of a deal. Maybe $1,500 is nominal to whoever you have working your parts department but to most of America it would be anything but.

Happy I found my key in the washing machine and it still works. Also happy I don't have to bring my car in to a service department that thinks of four digit key replacements as not that big of a deal.

It's my third car there, every end of my lease I check all different cars, but the price of driving another kind of car or driving a Benz is not much different.
Besides the service there is outstanding, they treat me the way I like to be treated, they are very professional and that counts a lot for me.

I first visited Contemporary Motors in June 2019. I met with Sarah who was very professional i was intrested in the 450 E convertible. Sarah let me test ride it asap i liked the car there was zero pressure i took photos i went home told my wife she said what ever you like.I had follow up call to visit it was July i was busy i didnt return. I called in August i told Sarah i was coming with my wife my intentions were to get a convertible but i saw a 450 E coupe AMG package thats looked and drove amazing. I dont like black cars and i loved this one. I met with Mr Scott Coleman the owner who is ACES Great man and wonderful to speak to. I signed up to purchase the vehicle on Thursday and pick up Friday. When i arrived i was a lil undecided on convertble or coupe. Mr Scott C said Eddie no presuure pick what you enjoy and if your not comfortable today come back when you are. Also Saraha told me the same she pulled a black conv car for me to test and when i say it i said iam happy with the coup. Best Family run dealership they gave my wife Dozen roses. I wouldnt go else were no other dealership you meet owners. I saw some poor reviews dont believe them.Go to Little silver you will be happy.

Service experience is terrible. We scheduled our car for its first service and were confirmed for a loaner car. When we got there we were told we needed to wait until someone else returned their loaner car. Never in my experience with BMW, Jeep, Volkswagen have I experienced such poor customer service. Mercedes brand is on the level of a used car dealership if they treat their first time customers this way. I do not recommend this dealership or this brand.

I must say i am very unhappy to write this review.
I am writing this because going on this website there is no link to email management with concerns or problems.
I purchased a AMG SUV from Contemporary . When I brought the car in for scheduled services I thought I was charged for fluids not installed. The second time the car was serviced I was able to confirm that I was erroneously charged. I called your company when I saw the charge on my bill the day the car was returned to me. Your service agent apologized and told me he would get back to me.
I received a return call offering me $50. I assume to "go away".
I told him I wanted not a buy off but I wanted your management to know this was happening, since I was assuming this was an error.
I received another call from someone representing to be management.
He told me your company bills for parts and labor that's anticipated at the beginning of the process and then is suppose to credit back anything not used. (twice, not my experience) That is done to be "more expeditious" according to him. When I told him that sounded ridiculous he told me I do not understand the car business. I am telling you I feel this is an unethical way to do business. I own multiple retail and service businesses and would never do that. I could not believe the arrogance of your manager. You may say it's a small thing. You have lost my trust, and any creditably with me, that is not small. In my opinion you have a deliberate and systematic way to take money from your customers and should be reviewed by NJ consumer affairs.

Brian King a very non helpful guy and seemed to have no interest in pushing forward to a deal on a e class. Didn't take any info down and called his own coworker a name in an inappropriate way in front of us customers his name was Eric by the way. Overall it was a okay atmosphere but Brian however seems to not belong there. I will continue to try and get the vehicle in the most efficient way whether it's with someone else at contemporary or at a different dealership.

I had a great experience acquiring my new GLE 350. My sales consultant Mario Castelli was fantastic. A super nice guy and very knowledgeable. The entire process was so easy, no pressure, no stress, just pure excitement. They even had a dozen roses for me laying on the hood of the car the day I picked it up. The customer service was the best I've experienced. I had been to several other dealerships before making my decision; BMW, Audi, Lexus and Infiniti, but the experience from MB was exceptional and it was an easy decision.

They have built a world class organization with a long term commitment to their customers. Their showroom and service area is warm, friendly and a model of what a car dealership should be. In my 59 years of life, I have purchased at least ...

In my 59 years of life, I have purchased at least 20 vehicles from about 10 different dealerships.
Contemporary Motor Cars of NJ is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had.
The car, a two year old Mercedes E 400 Cabriolet, was meticulously prepared, detailed, and delivered with four new tires, four new rotors, and 4 new brake pads. The car only had 16,000 miles on it and looked showroom, and without a blemish.
Not only that but they actually delivered the car to me on a flatbed with in a couple of days, ( AT NO CHARGE! ) and I live 107 miles away on Long Island.
The reason I drove so far to purchase this car was because of the dealerships' reputation. Contemporary Motor Cars is family owned and the owners present at the dealership.
The process went smooth and quick and I owned the car within a few hours. The dealership prepared my 1.9 percent financing and my NYS registration and plates, which they FED EX'ed to me.
The salesman was no pressure, the finance guy was no pressure, and CMC even had a person who comes out to the car, explains all the features and sets up your phone and information in the vehicle.
I will, without a doubt, make the 107 plus mile trek again, (and I have several Mercedes dealers within a few mile radius of my house), when I am ready to purchase another Mercedes.
If you want a top of the line car buying experience, go to Contemporary Motor Cars.

We have gone to Contemporary Motor multiple times ...

We have gone to Contemporary Motor multiple times for services and we have received incredible attention and best car care.
Recently we had battery problem, we called them and they sent a technician to home. He was courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the battery and explained , why he should change the battery. When we agreed to do so, he put a new battery in a timely fashion.
For a great service, convenient hours, with excellent staff.
I recommend them.

I made the mistake of not buying my MB from this dealership.Look when you get a bill for parts and or service remember you are not repairing a moped.So then lets focus on what you get for what you pay.This place bends over backwards for its customers,they are prompt,efficient,courteous,and for what you have,a Mercedes,their prices are fair.The best or nothing!!!!

I am extremely pleased with the quality of service I received at Contemporary Motor Cars regarding my purchase of S-550 in 2019. I dealt with Erik Morris who helped me on each and every step of purchase in a very professional manner without even having to visit the dealership since I reside overseas. They completed the paperwork within a few days of receiving the payment and delivered the car to Schumacher Cargo for overseas shipment in a very timely manner as promised. I received my car in Saudi Arabia in a spotless condition. Since the car came with only one key, they even reimbursed me the cost of the extra key that I had to get in Saudi Arabia. Last Spring my wife and I purchased a 35 year old Mercedes 300TD Turbo. From the first time we drove the car we have loved it. A few weeks back I stopped in with some questions and Steve Jung quickly had me set up to speak with Dale out in the service drop area. Dale answered a few of my questions but I wanted to provide him the chance for a more thorough review so made a service appt. That service visit was yesterday and the exceptional service continued. Steve and Dale were excellent. I'll be back for sure and recommend them both, as well as Contemporary, without reservation. Our "old" W123 recommends them as well. A quick shout out to Steve and Ken in parts who also assisted with a few questions. I was impressed by the merchandise available in parts and was able to buy a hat that I had seen online, at the same price it was online. Thanks to all!
