This company does not look out for their employees This company and customer services is very poor . I have called several times to Ask questions and they rarely pick up the phone, . When they do answer they transfer you and I am put on hold, I finally leave a message and I end up waiting 2 business day if not more. Pay checks are never on time. Have requested a hand book for employees, detailing my responsibilities and have not received it. Client insisting that I drive different places using employees car. Who s responsible for insurance , gas and mileage? Client Requests and expects elaborate cooking For friends and relatives . Also if one gives notice vacation and sick days PTO days are not paid.2 I am a very nice and sensitive person who wants to help the people I work with but I need to know what my requirements are. I do not feel thatConsumer Direct has been helpful .I am hard pressed to recommend Consumers Direct to future clients or friends to work for you.this company, because useful, less pay, poor costumer services.

I have been with the program for over 20 years and have a great experience with CDChoices. You are allowed to choose who comes into your home to take care of you, they offer competitive wages, health benefits for your worker. The staff is always been very helpful and easy to deal with. CDChoices gets an A++++ form me.

The most dysfunctional staff. Their pay per hour is cheap. Shop around before signing up with this program. There are many other programs that offer a more functional and knowledgeable staff. Friend of mine was on this program for a short time. They discharged her mom because her personal assistant worked "too many hours." They will not work with a MLTC program that offers a "Live In status" as opposed to a 12/12 split. CD Choices only gets reimbursed from a MLTC program such as Fidelis for 13 hours while the personal assistants are mandated to stay "24 hours." Greedy company. They care more about aligning their pockets per hour than helping families. There are other programs that pay a much higher rate, hence more money for their pockets. Know ALL the details before signing up with a consumer directive company especially this one. They should be reported to CDPAS compliance.

As soon as Albany County got the contract in 1997, I switched from the agency to CDPA, turned on the afterburners and never looked back. No more having random people sent to me who didn't know what they were doing. No more nurses "just happening to be in the neighborhood to just drop by" to invade my privacy. Total freedom! I have the final say who comes into my house and touches my body.
