Brilliant hospital, simply wonderful. The doctors, nurses and staff are professional and caring. The wards are spotlessly clean, amazing. They are gentle and constantly check to see if you have any pain. Constantiaberg Mediclinic sets the standard.
Didn't have a good experience with the emergency room but the 'A ward' team deserves an AWARD. That lovely team of day and night staff are exceptional! From the cleaners to the F&B personal, the nurses and Dr's, in particular, Dr van der schyff are wonderful, caring human beings! Thank you for taking such good care of my little person while there. My husband went for gallbladder removal. The staff were great.
I chose Constantiaberg because of known service. My vitals were taken at emergency with possible skin irritation but 2 hours later I m told I must wait still longer or I can leave because there are more critical cases than me.. I do understand but this is just not on if they too busy I should have told up front instead of making one wait untended for more than 2 hours
Our daughter was admitted for an emergency. The hospital was less than transparent around what the fees were and what they would charge to medical aid and what would be charged to us. They submitted an incorrect invoice reflecting an outstanding amount that my medical aid had already paid towards (so incorrectly reflecting the total of the account). We asked for an updated account statement reflecting the true amount due. Six months later, and they have handed the account over to a debt collector without any attempt to contact us. Rather use Tokai Medicross or Melomed
Husband went to the ER after being stung by a bee in his throat. His throat was swollen and closing up yet he waited for 50mins on the hospital bed behind the curtains without a nurse or doctor seeing if he was OK or administrating him any medication. He ended up getting up to complain and they were very happy to let him check himself out the hospital. Ended up getting much better and quicker service at Kingsbury!

My son could not stand up, the pain was unbearable, he was vomiting from the pain and could not get comfortable. He is 18 and was treated like an inconvenience here. We rushed in, pleaded for help and they said he must wait 30-45 min before anyone will see him. We raced off to Kingsbury, and the pushed him in immediately. Constantiaberg is a shocker, would not recommend anyone to go there. The most unsympathetic, disinterested bunch I have ever come across. Worse than a state hospital. They keep replying to people that complain here about their awful ER, with the same message saying you need to email their email address. It is the same complaint as others have, clearly nothing is changing. And their response is a copy & paste! Typical. I won't email them, they wasted enough of our time today with their horribly careless attitude and shocking service. We will never go near that ER ever again. Kingsbury diagnosed my son's condition as very serious and even asked why we took so long to get him to hospital. Constantiaberg, your staff are evidently clueless and the most unsympathetic bunch I have ever come across. How you have not been sued is beyond me.
Not somewhere you want to be visiting however somewhere you want to know is there if you need them. I unfortunately had to visit the ER after a light motorcycle accident. It was fairly quick" for an ER visit as there was no other emergencies at the time. The system and process was smooth and efficient. The place was clean and the staff were very professional yet not too serious which helps under the circumstances.
Patient care excellent. Food better than average, nursing great.
