I'll be happy for many days to come after playing this course. It's incredibly hard with the wind swirling but just as satisfying!
What a Course! Looks like an untouched moonscape, with Greens & Tees added. Will make you either love or hate the game of golf even more!
Very good facilities in the Clubhouse.
A gem of a golf course, well worth the trip, great value compared to it's peers.. staff really welcoming and couldn't do enough to help make our visit more enjoyable. The 3rd 9 a must play...
We played Connemara on a cool and sunny August day. The course is a links course with some photos ops of the Atlantic. The course design uses elevation change, shallow greens and the prevailing wind to create a true challenge. While the posted yardage is 6700+, the course plays shorter in winds of 10 mph or less.
Landing areas are generous with a few exceptions, but they have to be. The rough is almost invariably a full stroke penalty (if you are fortunate enough to find your ball) and the second cut is is about three feet wide. Greens as previously noted are shallow, run true and are medium speed. The course plays much easier from below the hole but the holes were usually at the front, especially on the elevated greens. Lots of blind and semiblind approach shots but the GPS yardages are spot on.
The pro shop is top shelf and the staff is friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. The course was in excellent condition. The sand is sea sand, consistent and the best to play from I've experienced in a while. That's fortunate, because the traps are numerous and strategically positioned.
Connemara is a great golfing experience and in good weather makes my bucket list. A bargain at the price.
I m a member and local the Food is now amazing the course is amazing with great views i highly recommend playing on it.
Beautiful and course tough course, but it was sunny and that's all we could ask for!
Great 27 holes links and clubhouse, shop, restaurant.
Great course situated in one of the most beautifully bleak and barren places in Ireland
Excellent course. Greens are excellent. Very challenging in the wind.
My wife and I played the course in May 2018. The cost was around 100 euro per person. Based on some of the other courses we played on the trip, we rate this golf experience very high. The course surroundings are somewhat rugged, but the course itself is very well kept. The views out over the Atlantic are spectacular. Some of the holes are very challenging, but others allow for some scoring for an average to slightly above average golfer. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The course is somewhat isolated, so it may require driving off the beaten path, but well worth it. Considering the cost of the course and our experience, we were very pleased with our decision to make the drive, and we encourage other golfers in the area to make the trip.
Great links course, golf as it should be, pure and we'll manicured.
Wonderful hidden gem, championship links course in a beautiful location looking out on the Atlantic Ocean with the 12 Bens behind. Every hole is challenging and breathtaking, a must play if your in Connemara, Ballyconneely, Co. Galway.
Who knows how beautiful it is to play golf immersed in nature
Amazing course, in great nick. Lovely pro shop also
Super golf course, excellent links ... jump into the ocean afterwards
Fabulous golf course great food and service friendly staff great views of galway bay and the wild Atlantic way . unspoilt scenery.wild west at its best.
A wonderful Irish gem great links golf enjoyed this course as much as Ballybunion and Lahinch. Connemara is very scenic and I love the traditions evident through the clubhouse this course is a destination for golfers on Ireland not to missed.
Also found the nearby town of Clifden one if our favorite cities in our tour of Ireland. Great pubs and food. Really enjoyed our stay at Abbyglenn
Absolutely Fantastic! Sat 23-11-2019 sunshine and great golf. Course in great shape. Doesn't get any better!

Beautiful place, great golf course for any level of golfer, if your thinking of adding it to the list DO!!
A golfers paradise in the heart of the Atlantic Way surrounded by sea and mountains.
Famous links golf course, just pray the weather is good when you play! The wind on a bad day could blow you into the sea!!
Fantastic track, each hole has a surprise on each tee and green with an inspired design and great views
Beautiful course in fabulous shape. Extremely friendly staff. Thank you to all especially pro shop staff.
Course in great condition. Had a good feed after the golf. Recommend the pizzas, priced reasonably.
Drove from Galway. Tight roads. Made tee time online from TEXAS. Rented clubs, good clubs but dirty. Walked, played by myself. Generous fairways, tough traps (1), good greens. Overall very nice. Wanted a true links style course....this is it.
What a golf course. Played here for the first time today. Lovely clubhouse and lunch before heading out. Course was simply spectacular and the views are hard to take in. One of the best days of golf I've experienced. All the staff very friendly too. Could not recommend enough.
Very good food and brill staff, coffee could be better
Never seen it in as good condition.
Well done to green staff.
Superb golf despite the wind and rain
Warm welcome and very well-stocked pro shop
Stunning views, challenging course (especially when it's windy!), great clubhouse and staff. Definitely worth a visit
Just dropped in with guests for dinner. Food was superb. Service was excellent. Views out of this world a full 360 degree picture of the Twelve pins the Ocean truly breath taking. Must be experienced to be believed.
Absolutely stunning place for lunch with fabulous views.
Stunning views and scenery, challenging but fun course. The pro shop manager was very friendly and genuinely helpful!
Heading there now on this beautiful Autumn day .... golfing Paradise
It rained sideways and the wind howled but gave us an experience to remember. Now we understand the wild Atlantic Way.
Quality golf course even though we played in a hurricane!
