I owe Companion Protect my puppy's life -- without them, the vet bills would have been overwhelming and may have inhibited my ability to give her the care she needed in her first month home from the shelter.

Every time I call, I've spoken with Elaine or Nora who have been very helpful, intelligent, and kind as we discuss my dog's medical needs and my questions regarding my coverage and any claims.

My parents are planning to switch to Companion Protect as a result of the great care my pup has been able to receive, and I recommend you do as well!!! Thank you, Companion Protect!

This is the best pet insurance company around. I cant even begin to tell you what they have done for my dog!! If you go to an in network vet, you only pay your portion to the vet and they pay the vet what they cover. This insurance is a life saver. They have never given me or my vet a hard time about paying my claims. If I could give them 1000 stars I would!! They are the best I highly recommend this company!!

I decided to get Companion Protect when I adopted my kitten in January. She recently had an emergency and ended up accumulating a hefty sum in vet bills ~$1700 to be precise between her daytime vet and overnight hospitalization at Blue Pearl. To make a long story short, my out of pocket cost was around $400. The deductible amount is per incident, (in-vetwork $50, out-of-vetwork $100, emergency $200 for my policy). In my case, one $200 deductible covered a trip to an in-vetwork vet, a transfer to an overnight hospital, a transfer back to the original vet, and follow-up bloodwork 2 days after my kitty's initial release home. After the deductible is meet 90% and 80% of costs at in-vetwork and out-of-vetwork clinics are fully covered.

I probably called their claims agents 10 times over a 4 day period and they were always very helpful. The only aspect of the policy that I found to be frustrating was the nuances of "emergency care" which turns out to be anything after 5pm and before 8am. My refund check for the out-of-vet work portion of her bills was sent out within a few days. For about $25 a month, not having to worry about high costs of emergency vet bills is worth the peace of mind.

I received a call about 6 weeks ago saying they'd sent me the wrong paperwork. I immediately phoned and the person who answered for this business answered the phone saying Rockhill vet clinic. I stated that I was calling companion and she said "sorry, I used to work there." She then confirmed that yes they'd sent me the wrong paperwork. I explained that I'd never gotten any. She did not verify my address, but just said it was on the way. I called again 7 days later, was told again that it was on the way. No verification of address. Three weeks later I called a third time. They're now answering their phone with the correct business name, which is progress. Still no correct or incorrect paperwork. She verified my address this time and I was informed I'd provided it incorrectly. I cancelled requesting an email confirmation and a written confirmation. I've not received the first, and I'm assuming I won't receive the second. If this is not a scam, there are some flaws in your procedures.

I have had Companion Protect insurance for my dog for a couple of years. During this time, I have had multiple claims with Companion and they have quickly and correctly processed each claim. I wish Companion had health insurance for humans too because this company is better to work with than any health insurance company I have had for myself! I would highly recommend this insurance to anyone looking for insurance for their animal.

I am so thankful that the shelter told me about Companion Protect insurance when I adopted my cat, Gracie, this year. I immediately signed her up. She then got sick the next day with pancreatitis. She has also had chronic eye infections for the last 6 months. The vet bills would have been too much for me to handle had I not had this insurance. It was literally a lifesaver for Gracie and I am so grateful to have it. The staff is so easy to work with and their compassion and empathy are greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for helping pets and their owners!
