HR for this company cannot be trusted! They smile in your face then turn around and stab you in the back. There is no point in relying on HR here for any help. All they will do is turn around and scapegoat you and use your own complaints and words against you even if you are right. The HR leadership for this company is horrible. How do they still have their jobs here when they are so incompetent?

These people are really bad to work for. Especially their HR leadership who is very unqualified and unskilled. I feel like HR leadership should probably be replaced altogether. Most of upper administration is very cliquey with HR however so that probably won't happen any time soon. There is a lot of nepotism and favoritism occurring at CRI from what I witnessed while working for this company. That is why I would strongly encourage staff not recommend working for this company at all. They don't treat their staff well at all which costs them lots of high turnover. Especially this is true for staff at the entry level who obviously aren't worthy of ever joining HR, upper administration and their elite social cliques.

Okay so most of these reviews are talking about the clients services but I also want to point out what a crappy employer this is. There's some guy director there in HR who is a really pompous and obnoxious jerk. His only priority seems to be on minimizing workplace issues. Also he's in pretty tight with the executive directors and other senior managers and usually favors what they have to say. I don't think he's fair at all especially not for his position in HR. (Referring to Mike Patrey, HR Director for CRI) This has become a really bad employer to work for and it looks like my opinion isn't alone either. HR especially is too focused on image instead of results. Also they aren't fair and I strongly believe they should find other positions instead of the HR profession since they can't be fair or neutral or impartial which is what HR should be. There's other stuff I could write about HR in this employer. But it doesn't really matter since they're not going to change or be fair to us the employees. HR obviously wants to continue remaining faithful to the upper management whom they serve..... what a tragic shame....

Community Residences is certainly not a high quali...

Community Residences is certainly not a high quality agency for developmentally disabled citizens to receive services through. There are many examples in support of why I feel this way. First off, let me just say that it s pretty rare that I actually take the time out to write such a long review. Especially, when it's negative or critical of a product or service. For the most part, I do feel like businesses and agencies really try to offer the best quality products and services they can. Obviously, that can't always happen because you're never going to please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Now with that established, let me just state that the quality of care offered through Community Residences is deplorable! During the time that my handicapped grandson was receiving services here through Community Residences, there were countless and multiple unexplained red marks and abrasions. At first, I honestly believed the explanation which had been provided by this agency's administration: sometimes accidents happen and clients can develop injuries if they move suddenly or can't gage their surroundings properly due to their limitations. Those explanations were fine for the first couple of times that my grandson had developed seemingly unexplained red marks and abrasions. However, after about the fourth incident of this happening, I quickly began to suspect that something else was amiss. My worst suspicions were confirmed one day when I had witnessed my grandson being verbally berated and yelled at by three of the staff here because he wasn't cooperating with their instructions. Luckily, I was able to intervene quickly enough before anything else happened. However, had I not been there to jump in and come to my grandson's rescue, I'm not 100% certain that it would have been limited to verbal abuse only. Unfortunately, after filing a complaint with this agency, they quickly turned everything back around on me and my husband. We both felt like criminals and scapegoats for reporting suspected abuse and neglect of our grandson. However, the administration sided with their staff 100%, basically banned us from any future services through the agency, and told us that we were no longer welcome there. This was certainly not the response which I had hoped to receive from Community Residences, Inc. who I had once thought to be a reputable and ethical agency. However, please let my review here on Google be a warning to those who might be considering using this agency for services for their own loved ones. Based upon my terrible experience during the latter half of my grandson's treatment with the agency and all of the minimizing and scapegoating which had continued after we reported our suspicions of abuse and neglect in good faith, this is actually the absolute last agency which I would ever recommend to others in the treatment and care of their relatives or family who may have developmental disabilities.

Their human resources "leadership" (Michael Patrie) was extremely rude and unprofessional!!!!! Almost like it's a bother for you to call up and ask him a simple question without being rudely and unprofessionally dismissed!! That man is so rude and obnoxious and I don't know how he lasted there as long as he did working in "human" resources???

Worked for CRI for 1 year opening a house with 3 guys. I had 9 supervisor changes in that 1 year and was treated like a burden to them for trying to advocate for my guys. I ended up getting let go for making a mistake on one of my staffs timesheet, which I corrected before it went through to payroll!

The real reason they let me go was because my guys at the house were progressing so well that they were probably going to drop their LON score, which determines how much funding they receive.

I keep in contact with the guys, and since I ve been gone they have removed a lot of the programs I set up to help the guys gain independence, and are now treating the guys like second-class citizens again.

The administration for this company is the most two-faced, backstabbing bunch I have ever came across. They have zero care about humans and their needs, all just dollars and cents to them.

I would not recommend anyone work for this agency, in fact, I think the administration as a whole should not be allowed to work in the human services field.

Sad, some of the best people I have supported in my career, and they deserve, and are capable of so much more if an agency would take a person-centered approach and allow them to grow.

From what I have observed, this company is very unprofessio0nal!!!! I would not be surprised if the allegations which another Google reviewer wrote against one of this company's group home are true! My developmentally disabled sister was in one of their programs before and we had to pull her out because the standard of care here was totally unacceptable!!!!!

My sister suffered terribly in their care, and my heartaches for everything that she had to endured while in their "care" - if you would even call it care. Her bedsores got worse and worse from never being changed and being made to languish in her wheelchair for hours at a time!!!! She developed unexplained bruises all over her arms, legs, face, chest - everywhere!!!! Then the standard explanations which were always given to us as the family were she was around other clients with aggressive history and tendencies so therefore anything could have happened. Although I could never prove it, I suspect she was probably being abused by some of their company's staff.

During several days while my sister was in their "care," I personally observed some of the completely dis interested and lazy staff in their company just doing what interested themselves. They were always on their phones, talking with each other, doing their own personal errands - anything to neglect the special care which my severely handicapped sister should have instead received!!

Learn from mine and my family's mistakes and pleae do not ever place any of your relatives in their company's care!!!! We're not bitter or hateful people, but we just do not want any other family's family members to have to endure even a fraction of the suffering which my poor sister did!!!

The most horrible place to work at. What's funny is that they pay Per diem's $14.00 to stay while Full and part timers get $11.50 to $11.75 an hour. So they screw the Full and part time staff in order to try and keep the per diems. Their is no room for growth and they will even fire you over the littlest thing such as speeding or driving normal on a highway. Also the Staff is very bias, rude and often times insensitive. Which is why that company doesn't even have standards and I wouldn't even put my own family in their care. I use to work for them and they let me go for something that is so stupid but very common sense.
