It'd be super great if these folks can post on their website or on a public forum that they are close to the weather damage when it is an inconsistent situation. Last time I tried calling them I couldn't get a hold of anybody there for this time I didn't decide to call. I do appreciate these folks for all the hard work that they do to distribute food to the community. Fantastic caring organization.
I went there for my monthly food box! They have set up a fast and efficient method for getting your food box(es)! Now, the longest wait is in a line in your car!! When the line you're in fills and both Lanes where you are shown to stop are full then the lines are released!! You will b directed to either go forward into one or the other side of an area where there is a very large canopy and when you get under that canopy inside then you will b directed, one at a time to go through 5 "stations" where your trunk( which should be open at this point) is filled with the required food stuffs by very friendly people who know your household size. based on questions asked in the line you waited in first and then an alpha-numeric code is emblazoned onto your windshield with a removable grease pen onto the passenger side windshield very near the roof post!!! Once you've received your allotment of supply's then you pull forward, get out of car and close trunk lid, return to the car and exit the area and head off!! There is no charge for these supplies, you do however need to bring picture ID and they request you go on line and register with the food bank as a recipient!! Also you can have other people in the car who may also get food for their household at the same time!!! So let's say you and 2 friends along for the ride will find they can get food for their families!! Should call ahead to verify days and times!!! They are not stingy and you'll b happy with products!!! Best part, not much time is invested and you'll get great stuff!!!
Remember the community food bank, 36th street and Dodge!! About a half mile north of Ajo on Dodge, just B4 36th street!!! Rock on!!! Thanks for listening.....L8R.....TOMMY
WOW I go once a month and every time it's the big SMILE FROM EVERYONE there and very helpful, the line goes fast. Maybe I can see you there. THANK YOU COMMUNITY FOODBANK FOR YOUR SERVICES.if you haven't been there it opens at 8:00 AM BUT YOU CAN GET THERE BEFORE AND GET IN LINE IN YOUR CAR OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE AND DO AS THEY SAY, GET YOUR FOOD AND GO .THANK YOU.
I would love to say thank you, BUT: All the milk was expired by a day. All (like 6 packages) of hot dog buns were expired by a month or more. and the 2 big bags of potatoes were ALL mushy. if you need food for humans, look elsewhere!
This food bank has been providing much needed food assistance to my children, my mother, my elderly neighbor and myself for more then 4years. I highly recommend them. From the bottom of heart I thank and salute them for their awesome service to our community!!!
