Beyond frustrating. Was treated in the ER by one of their physicians. Will be getting that information shortly so I can report to medical licensing board for failure to honor agreement with my insurance company.
Long story short, they use Medial Billing Company to handle billing. After I was treated in Loudoun ER, instead of billing my insurance co, ABC sent me a letter stating that I owed over 1000 dollars and my payment was late. I sent them my insurance info via mail. Received a second notice that account was overdue a month later, AGAIN provided my insurance info and HAD an insurance rep call ABC to resolve the miscommunication. I went into their system myself and entered my insurance info. I then left a message with ABC as they never answer the phone. I went back into the system a month later and could clearly see that they had never billed my insurance!
Incidentally, none of the other providers who treated me that day had an issue with my insurance as I provided the information on the day I was treated.
The fact that Commonwealth Emergency Physicians contracts bill collectors that are this inept is inexcusable. I see I am not the first patient who has had this issue.

I owe 1200$. For what? I didn t receive any bills. It s on my credit report. Medical bills should not be on credit report. It s illegal. Did you guys know that. I don t even remember what this is for. The truth will come out. Abc7 on your side.

Received a notice from my credit card company that my credit score had changed. I checked my credit score and it had a collections account. I called the collection agency Commonwealth Financial and they said that almost 3 years ago, someone who said they were me, cosigned an ER bill for someone I have never heard of in a city I have never been to. No one had even attempted to send me a bill. I had to dispute this bill and make a police report for fraud.

Apparently I am in the same group as everyone else. I never received a bill, but I just received a collections letter stating I owe $31 from 2017. I have never had any late payments, and I now truly question the billing practices. It seems like they are unorganized and do not actually send out what they are supposed to. Instead of ensuring they do their job correctly, they put the burden on the patient. Now I have a derogatory mark on my credit for a bill I knew nothing about.

I also had a bill for my mom's ER visit sent to collections. Commonwealth Emergency Physicians did not submit the bill correctly to Medicare so Medicare denied the claim. CEP never sent me a bill or notified me the claim was denied. The first time I found out CEP had not been paid was over a year latter when we were contacted by a collection agency. All other claims related to this ER visit were handled by Medicare, Part B insurance and us paying what was our responsibility in a timely manor..

Applied for financial aid, they told me my account would be put on hold for 60 days while it processed. 25 days later my credit dropped 100 points and then a month later financial said 100% was paid off....yet my bill is still in collections.

Unfortunately, I didn't want to write a Google review for this company, but the absolute incompetence of their administrative operations left me no alternative. Like the other reviewers here, I've been a victim of an outsourced, woefully incompetent billing organization associated with this practice. Absolutely zero contact from Commonwealth Emergency Physicians for MONTHS after service provided earlier this year and then, magically, a collections letter shows up for services rendered. I've no problem, at all, paying the debt owed, but I have to receive the bill in order to do so. The sheer incompetence and basic disregard for their patients in this regard barely warrants a 1 star, which is a shame, b/c the physician who served me was very good. Its shame that b/c INOVA has associated themselves with these clowns I'll have to find a new medical service provider. When I FINALLY was able to track down WHO to speak with about what went wrong, they admitted a billing and clerical error on their side - a wrong address. An error that apparently, a collections agency can fix with, I don't know, a basic Google search on their first try. Apparently, this part of the operation IS brain surgery. You call their admin offices and no on answers or calls back, they just give you another number to call who, b/c they are outsourced, under HIPAA can't even tell you the wrong address they had on file. I've never given a different address to INOVA, but b/c I can't know what they have on file, there's no way to know how this got so royally screwed up. They claim they've contacted the collections agency to resolve but...we'll see. They can't provide me anything in writing to that effect, which is convenient. For them. I received no apology, no assurance on how this would or wouldn't show up on my credit, etc. At the end of the day, the fail point IS with the outsourced billing service, but this outfit shoulders the blame equally. They hired them. They continue to use them for this service, and they clearly don't care enough about their patients to change that.

Received a letter from collections stating that this company had been trying to collect from me for over a year! I have yet to receive any mail from Commonwealth Emergency Phy. Upon calling they stated that " We tried sending bills to you home address" I NEVER GOT ANYTHING!!! And now my credit is suffering? This is UNACCEPTABLE.

I keep getting calls from debt collecting company named Affiliate Asset Solutions asking me to pay $322 for a bill that is past due with CEP. I don't even remember going to that place ever. I don't understand how could they do this. Someone has to take action on this place.

I'm calling about a bill and it's press 1 if you're a patient, press 2 if you're an attorney's office. What's wrong with them that they a direct line for attorneys? Maybe because they don't send bills and then claim the patient is delinquent?

NEVER received a single bill from them and now we received a letter from a collection agency that we're in debt to them and owe them $34.50. I have a credit score of 840 and have never paid a bill late in my life. I'm not a slacker and would have paid this bill IF I ever received it. Now my credit is going to suffer??? Obviously CEP dies this often as all their negative reviews say the same.

Can you give 0 stars? I just tried calling the office. Was told to call another number for billing. Press 1 to make a payment, I did. They told me my balance (which I've tried to pay with my HSA already), then the call disconnected. Wow.

I guess I fall into the same category as everybody else. I'm not even sure I went to Loudoun hospital. I don't ever recall going there. I never received any bill and I haven't been in Loudoun County for over three years. I just got this hit on my credit report today and looked to see what it was. I'll dispute it there, but something really has to be done about this place

The service to customers and user experience after receiving their insufficient billing information is substandard. I have been trying for month to receive an itemized bill from this provider to not avail. they wont email, fax or allow in person pick-up. The phone reps are rude and in order to speak to a supervisor one must wait 24-48 hours. This is out of control and one of the reasons we need healthcare reform. You go to a hospital emergency room and 7 practices bill you afterwards and once you paid it is almost impossible to get them to provide you with the detail invoice.

Wow! If I could rate them a BIG FAT ZERO I would. So first of all, I wasn't properly diagnosed at Lorton emergency and secondly, just like everyone else, I didn't get a bill. My first bill I received after 4 months of being seen stated "FINAL NOTICE"

Received mail from collections as a first notice that I had a balance with CEP. It has been almost 10 months since my visit to the ER and I have not received a single correspondence from them letting me know that I have a balance. When I called, they told me that they sent them out but clearly I did not receive anything. I haven't missed a single payment from any of the INOVA bills. This is absolutely unacceptable.
