Comfort Suites Starkville Review

Very courteous staff, very accommodating. Very comfortable hotel, a lot of upgrades but some things still a little dated. In room microwave and fridge very convenient.

The room was nice and clean when we checked in. The room was cleaned daily. Every staff member we interacted with was nice, helpful and professional. I would recommend this Comfort Inn to others and would definitely stay there again.

The building looks old with no maintenance. The fan of the bathroom was too noisy and all the rooms were smelling bad. The first room they selected for my staying was smelling very very bad - it would be impossible to sleep there. The staff agreed with me and changed me to another room - that was also smelling bad but not as bad as the previous one. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I canceled my reservation on July 4th and its July 21 and they have not put the money back on my card. I will never reserve a room with them again. Holiday inn gives the money back right away.

Horrible experience, very nice hotel, but very poor hospitality shown. I was over charged, & management Kayla, was very rude! Please seek other hotels in the area, until under new management! The floor in the room was also stained, with a foul unpleasant smell. Beds were okay, sheets were okay! I would definitely recommend other local hotels in Starkville, MS.....

They have amazing rooms. Comfy beds, a pull out couch, nice bathrooms, clean pool. Good stuff.

The room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. It is located within walking distance of both the Miss St. campus and some wonderful restaurants in the Cotton District. Will recommend to anyone needing a good place to stay in the Starkville area.

Location is superb, and amenities are fantastic! Great breakfast, large bed, and a huge jacuzzi tub. All for a good value!

Bathroom was dirty (urine and blood splatters) and after 3 nights my husband had what were undoubtedly bedbug bites. Staff did not follow up on cleanliness issues and it is unknown whether they had professionals determine whether bedbugs were present.

I travel for business and use Priceline a lot. this is one of those hotels that will put you in the handicap room if you booked via Priceline so beware some people don't like that. Perhaps the biggest fault is that it appears like a high-end 3-star hotel whereas it's really a 2 and 1/2 and so some of the finishings don't come off so well. It may have been my room but it was hard to find light switches. Fox news but not MSNBC (yes some people in Mississippi like to watch MSNBC after a hard days work). The TV itself was smaller than normal and kind of slow. The water pressure in the shower was low. Starkville has a bunch of ratty hotels, and this is NOT one of them. So you can rest assured, but I can think of at least one 2 star hotel in town in the same price range that I feel does a better job, as well as a couple of more expensive hotels in town which would offer a slightly better experience. In short, it's definitely worth the added price compared to staying at one of the roach coaches.

Starkville Comfort Suites was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Clean, friendly staff, but best of all it has access to the beautiful campus of Mississippi State. Highly recommend walking around and touring the college!

Cleanliness...I would give a 4 out of 5. I travel at least once-twice a month and I ve NEVER slept in a bed so hard. Was up all night due to the bed being uncomfortable.

The location is great with nice views, while the room is great and kinda small, and the services are good

A nice place to stay although its getting a little long in the tooth. Its quiet and clean and has a decent fitness center. Breakfast is typical hotel fare.

The downside is there isn't any restaurants or bars within walking distance.

Rooms are large and we'll furnished, bed was super comfortable. Hotel is perfectly situated between campus and downtown (cotton district). This is one of the best value hotels you'll find in any college town anywhere.

I travel a lot and sometimes you can find a place that feels like home, this is it in Starkville. Juri was very helpful

As a new regular guest with Choice Hotels I continue to be impressed with Comfort Suites and this stay is certainly no exception. In fact this unit is the finest of the brand I've stayed in. From front back it's incredible service from warm and friendly staff, paired with clean and comfortable rooms at a competitive price. Want more? You're being greedy.

Bed Bugs!!!!! Yuck and could not get in touch with a hotel at all for a refund they still haven't issued me a refund and they charge my credit card three different times

Stayed here on our way to Alabama. Our room had no AC. We were told they didn't have another room available but they would discount our room. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude when we checked out and gave us $10 off. We sweated all night and spent close to $100 for the room. And their coffee was not available the next morning. I will never stay at a comfort Suites again!

My roommate and I stayed here when our heat and water were out during the coldest part of the year (our house was under 37 degrees inside!). The staff here was so nice! They even gave us a discount when they found out our landlord wasn't helping cover our hotel cost. The room was very clean and the hotel is in an amazing location if you are in town for an event at the Mill or for any event on campus!

Nice rooms, comfy beds, decent breakfast, limited room for parking of towing a trailer.

Have been staying for over a month for work at MSU. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable although lay out makes tv watching difficult from the couch. The over night staff is the hidden gem here. Daniel, Julesa and Jury are the three Stars as they try to make accommodations for all situations.
The breakfast area and food are well thought out. Nice to see more than cold cereal. And also nice to actually have an area just for breakfast that is reminiscent of a breakfast nook. Well done.
The only problem I am experiencing is the slow unstable internet. Seriously. That s the only issue I have. Even after a month here.

Love this place ! The management and employees are so nice and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Always have the best and cleanest rooms. The whole place is just a joy to be at. I love the pool as well. Every time I'm in starkville I make sure to stay here . they never disappoint.

Better than average for a Comfort Inn. Nice king-sized bed and a small, but nicely decorated lobby area adorned with pictures of MSU's campus and historical pictures of early MSU life.

Yhe couch was hard. The bed was hard. It was hard to see the one TV from the couch. Overall it was just okay.

This was a spectacular experience. The room was very affordable, yet spacious. The interior was updated, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The checkout time was noon, as well, so it's friendly for night owls, though breakfast is over at ten.
A housekeeping person tried to come into my room the separate times, but at least they're cleaning the room. Do use the do not disturb tag if you don't want that to happen.

The accommodations were better than expected. The room was spacious enough to sleep 5 adults. The breakfast provided was very good with a good sized selection of food.

Pet friendly and clean, the only hotel in Starkville we stay at.

The accommodations are adequate. Cleanliness is average. Breakfast spread was nice. We were in town due to our beloved dog s medical emergency. So all we needed was a place to lay our heads and some compassion. We extended our 1 day stay for another night, and that is when things took a turn. Our toilet clogged from normal activities and we called the front desk to ask for maintenance. We were informed that they had no plunger and just to wait and hour and flush again. Well the situation was, um, urgent, so I went downstairs to ask again. The front desk worker begrudgingly went to look for a plunger and and found one in the lobby bathroom. Handed it to me over the counter and told me to bring it back at my convenience. How kind. Really disappointed as I ve stayed at many choice hotels over the last years and this was absolutely lackluster customer service. At checkout the same front desk worker had an ugly attitude with me when I told her why we would be checking out early. No offer of how they could make it up to me. May be an isolated incident, but I will not be returning to stay here.
