I am giving 1 star because there is no option for 0 star. They are a fraud company and they steal money just because they can. We recently have moved to Columbus and our first month bill was around $39 because we only stayed there for 5 days. Then suddenly our bill jumped to $200+ and I am like what happened. I called them and they said that s what your usage is. I initially thought it s from sprinkler. So I just monitored my bills and every month it was around $200. This month our water use drastically reduced but the sewage charges are still the same as they were during last few months. And they told me they charged based on our usage. That doesn t make any sense when your usage is $140 still your sewer is $60 and when your water use is $60, still your sewage is $60. I called them and customer service people took my contact info and told me someone will call but nobody called. Such cheaters and fraudsters. You can say based on the ratings as well.

How do they even have a 1.9 star rating? it should be NEGATIVE 5 stars. Have been trying to schedule water disconnect for TWO WEEKS now. What a joke. In January they apparently changed account numbers for some customers (including myself with no notice.

They say they need my "new" number to disconnect my service, which I have never received. The level of incompetence is overwhelming.

I feel like Mr. Steve Melton went above and beyond to help me with an inspection that was due. I had little to no information to complete the process required and he provided me with what was needed and with more help to insure that our records were up to date in the future.

The absolute worst customer service! This is beyond ridiculous and embarrassing for the city of Columbus and the services the residents need. I called to start services on my new house, my call was answered by an answering service which told me that someone will return my call within 5(five) working days. 5 days CWW?! clearly you could do better than this.

I signed up for paperless billing, and now I can't access my account to view my bill. My bill was $187, as stated on the billing page, and I called to see why. After waiting for 35 minutes, I was told that it was an old bill from April added to my current bill. What? Why didn't that show up in May? I'm not just handing over $92 for something I can't verify. Everything about this website is sub-standard. I spent nearly 3 hours online the other day to try to access my account.

Not only is their customer service a JOKE but this company is UNSAFE. We experienced brown/green water and called the company to learn we had a water main break in our neighborhood the night before. There was no notification online anywhere. We ran the water in every faucet for over 30min, filled up a tub, and it was still brown/green. They offered us no help but to say "keep running the water". When asked if this water was SAFE to drink, they said once it's clear it's safe. It seems to me they don't know what a boil water notice is like every other city I've ever lived in. The supervisor I spoke with told they have never issued a boil notice and only would if a catastrophic event came through such as a hurricane. Are you joking? A simply water main break warrants this. Every other city and state can determine which customers are affected, but Columbus is not with the program. Same supervisor told me they implemented a new system in January and it would be YEARS before they had the capability to notify customers of unsafe conditions. Sounds like a lazy attempt at not simply posting to their website or Facebook. Seems like a company providing water to children would be more concerned about the health and safety of their customers. I can't wait for my next bill after running so much water to solve their problems. Do better waterworks, it's clear you're only out for money. You know exactly where to find me to collect your money, you should know exactly where to find me to alert me of brown drinking water. Drink with caution.

I bought a home and my first bill was over 400 dollars. When I went to get an explanation they initially told me the meter was checked when the previous tenant moved out in April and then rechecked in the middle of July, I closed on my new home June 30th. Once I showed them the deed and that I closed June 30th the story changed to they checked it at the beginning of July. After realizing there was nothing I could do I asked if I could split the large bill into the next few. They obliged and I paid 200+ over my next two bills. That evening their tech came and cut my water back on and had to cut it back off because my meter would not stop running. Once home I cut it on with my key and it did not run at all, I have taken photos daily to ensure they could not pull this again. I paid my bill for this month and they did not get my trash today. I immediately called and left a voicemail as well as emailed them. I also checked my balance which was zero dollars. At 5 pm I get an email saying my statement was ready to view, upon opening I see they have an additional 50 dollar charge. I have asked for an itemized invoice which they will not provide. I have an infant daughter and have to have water. This place is as absolute joke and they are taking advantage of citizens of Columbus.

We have had automatic billing for the same address...

We have had automatic billing for the same address and account for over 27years and never once had our water turned off. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! We have received no warning or information regarding our water bill. We walked outside to find a very rude man sitting in his van and when asked what he was doing his response was water cut off for lack of payment we asked if he was sure it was the right address and he proceeded to laugh at us and say yeah then drove away. Now after calling multiple times we are told that the account number was changed in January but we never got notified of anything regarding that because we have paperless billing and that they would put us on a call back list . So now we are stuck sitting here with no water until someone decides to call us back. Meanwhile this is all going against our credit because it just shows our bill wasn t payed just wow.

The level of incompetence at this place of business is astounding. I ve tried paying my water bill for two months and cannot access my new customer/account number. I ve tried calling well over 60 times, with 10 of them being today. The online payment portal DOES NOT work and I m met with a phone disconnection or busy tone whenever I try to retrieve the information via phone. You cannot physically go in the establishment and you cannot get anyone on the phones, yet I m facing my water being shut off. This is absurd and very irresponsible on this government businesses end. Get it together.
