When we're in the area on a nice summer day, we like to sit outside on the steps or the south lawn with a coffee and do some prime people watching.

Columbia University campus, we got closer after wandering around Harlem. It's beautiful to look at and a must-see for fans of the Ghostbusters movie.

Great academics, beautiful campus and an good place to do research

Uninteresting place. The main building (Library) is unkempt, dirty and you will not find anything special in it. It's a waste of time. I recommend choosing other places to spend time in NY.

This school is a joke and waste of students money. I've taken a few classes at Columbia and my experience has been very eye opening. The classes are interesting but the homework and exams are very poorly written by professors or TA who demonstrator their lack of understanding in certain subjects and complete ignorance in others. When confronted with proof of the correct answer they simple say you over thought the question. "Please remain ignorant like us".

I've found MIT to be much more challenging and driven to provide true understanding and knowledge.

I really feel sorry for students wasting their/parents money and receive a second rate education at an extremely high cost, not just in terms of money & money but at the expense of real knowledge.

Most of the reviews I've seen are by brainless idiots writing, reviews like " Great Wifi", "Beautiful campus, "I had a great weekend there"

Seriously, do your research before giving this school your time & money and risking your future.

I've only studied here for two months but those were my best two educational months of my life

I found this great opportunity at Colombia University to be unequalled, and by far the best.

A beautiful campus filled with buildings that ooze prestige. Open spaces that are inviting and lush with grass and flowers.

At leisure, I recommend a walk around the Columbia University campus. In the academic year we can meet interesting people from all over the world.

One of the luxury institutions of the American Academy. In the statue of the "Alma Mater" is the Wisdom Owl. If they don't get you to study there, at least visit the campus and try to locate the owl.

A great institution of higher education in the USA. Listening to lectures, participating in seminars, conferences and studying here is worth a lot! We will have to try very hard, but efforts will not be wasted! Yes, it's expensive. But very prestigious! The work itself will find you.

Beautiful campus- feel free to wander around during sunset. However, take heed that the surrounding area is a ghetto.

By far, the best of the best of the ivy league, in the best city! Much more opportunity here than other comparable schools.

Does not take complaints about sexual assault seriously. Women are now afraid of leaving their rooms because there is a rapist on the loose and there has been NO investigation launched against him. They only want money!

I like this university.if i don't move to LA next year,I probably will go to this university.That will be amazing if i can study in this place.

I love Columbia University; I'm currently an MFA student there. The area is very safe and has excellent security. The quad is surrounded by beautiful shops and cafes. It is accessible via the 1 on 116th street. The institution is spread out but it seems like the undergraduates are concentrated in the quad.

An Ivy league education in your own backyard. One of the top 10 schools worldwide. If you have what it takes to get in, make sure you network with everyone possible. Therein lies the true value of Columbia and others in its category. What you learn in the classrooms is top notch. Research among the finest.

I was obviously a tourist and the place is beautiful. I was able to enter one of his famous classes and feel part of a movie. I just had to go days before graduation so they are with all the preparations but I recommend this visit anyway if they are in NYC.

The universities reputation for the treatment of black students or brown students is actually true. How can this be posible? No matter where or when, any university in the world has students from every corner of the world. Be careful people!!!
Other than that, beautiful place.

If you are in the area, do not miss the opportunity to see the gardens of this University, they are really great. When I went right they were setting up the stage for a graduation!

I love visiting this magical place in New York, the library of Columbia University, it is a beautiful building that is worth contemplating for its majestic architecture that dates back to ancient times, if you are apacionado by this type of buildings is a highly recommended place visit.

This university is a very interesting university and it seems very nice and have great student life. Personally it's the university I want to apply for in the near future.

It's an amazing university. You get both the city life and the seclusion of a college campus. It's a gorgeous place to visit and it's even more beautiful when you're there around the winter. I recommend traveling and spending and afternoon in the upper west side area.

The college was very unfair to the parapsychology department.
Thankfully those guys managed to start a successful paranormal investigation business and have defeated gozer back in 84.
