Colorado choice is a horrible company regarding customer service. We are no longer customers of Colorado choice we terminated our policy 12/2016. They have taken $605 out of our account for premiums on two occasions since we've terminated our policy. I cannot get them to give me back the money in a timely fashion they feel that within a week or two is an acceptable amount of time. When the first incident happened and resolved I received a letter stating that my account would not have withdrawals from it again and it was closed. Two months later it happened a second time. I sent an email on Saturday when I discovered this and I called first thing Monday morning. I asked to speak to AJ because she is who helped me last time. She was not available so I asked to speak to management. I was given to Heidi, she spoke to me as if I was inconveniencing her and was quick to try to get me off the phone. Heidi who is very condescending and actually asked ( when I said I need it in writing that you will be correcting this today) if I wanted it in blood. I tried again calling and reached Marty the CFO. He didn't seem to know anything about my situation so I explained. He told me that he wouldn't get around to it until after he's done with his meeting and then he's not sure if the person who writes the checks is even going to be in the office. I again explained this was very urgent and I asked him to go check to see if the check person was there and told him I would wait on the line while he did so. He said no, he would get to it later. He go frustrated with me and hung up. Let me restate that they have stolen money from my account and they didn't want to be bothered with correcting this situation quickly. I have never been treated so horribly by any company. The CFO and the supervisor owe me an apology. These people steal from you and they feel entitled to do so watch out and find another company to get your insurance with.
UPDATE- I was able to reach AJ in billing. She was very apologetic and showed great empathy towards my situation. She contacted their bank and reversed the withdrawal. The money was returned to my account the next day. She explained that there was approximately 4000 accounts that had been incorrectly drawn on due to a change they had recently made in their systems. She was overwhelmed with the amount of calls she was receiving and doing her best to remedy all situations. When I asked her to send me an email with explanation and that all efforts had been made to prevent this from happening again, she was more than willing to do so and had me wait on the line until she did so and I was sure to receive it. Complete contrast to Supervisor Heidi and CFO Marty. What I walked away with was her Supervisor Heidi and the CFO Marty whom I spoke with pleading for resolution, knew exactly what was going on and they still disregarded me and my situation. AJ is a rock star and she should get credit for correcting this error that Colorado Choice is responsible for.
