This hotel is exceptional. The minute you pull up to the valet and until you leave you are well taken care of. The front desk is amazingly helpful, as is the housekeeping, bartenders and servers at the Purple Palm. The rooms feel and look open and beautiful. The pool is a slice of heaven. If it s a cooler time of year the hot tub is wonderful as well. Then there is the spa- yes everything you want it to be and more. I look forward to returning there again when the hotel re-opens. It is temporarily closed due to Covid-19.

The Colony Palms Hotel is simply spectacular. We had the pleasure of attending a wedding there,, and the staff was impeccable, on time and thorough. They were professionals through and through, very attentive and polite. They had such an amazing setup, so beautiful. I know why Frank Sinatra chose to stay here so often, the rooms are comfortable and delicate. The bar and food were tasty to celebrate the night away. Even if you just go for dinner, you will enjoy your experience. I recommend Colony Palms whole heartedly.

We were so excited to hear and have a booking at the CPH with the new owner/team. We have been going to CPH for years (When the restaurant was The Purple Palm) and thru all its highs and lows. Unfortunately this was a low for us. Totally understanding the growing pains (We were there March 25-28) and ironing out ALL the kinks if you are seriously aspiring for the 5 experience Even open later in the year to QA ALL the details.

A few misses for the CPH:
-3rd Party Bookings. As noted in an earlier a review from another guest, our booking with Hotel.com was lost and it took 3 attempts on my part to confirm the reservation-the last attempt to confirm and honor it was at the lobby during check-in. The previous 2 attempts where made by Hotels.com reaching out directly to CPH and I was confirmed both times by H.com that we were booked.

- Adults Only . Adults Only means Adults Only and as noted in other recent reviews there were kids present at the last evening we where there and I asked the same question as we were being given a tour by William and he verified it was AO. Additionally at the time CPH s site was giving the option for how many kids traveling?! (It s still giving that option as I post this review)

-Self Parking vs. Valet. I asked if valet was the only option or can we self park(we could self-park in previous incarnations of CPH. Which makes it handy if you want to get something in the auto and use the side access points.) Never got an answer but found out PAINFULLY with our folio listing it was $40 every time you asked for your vehicle!

-Room Misses. One of the dresser drawers immediately misaligned as I pulled it out. Called the lobby to let them know and was given a $20 food voucher and a technician would repair it it never happened. We were in an upper room pool/garden view and there are only 2 windows; a small one in the bathroom which opened and a larger set by the bed. The larger windows by the bed would not open because the hinged/cranks were missing. Ugh. Now there was these lovely vines growing over the windows and I don t know if the crank-less windows were to protect it but we didn t have the option of cross-air ventilation, unless we left the room door open. No Nespresso/Coffee appliance in the room even though it was stated in the room details there should be one. I miss the days of complimentary coffee available every morning poolside.

We are giving a very generous 2 because we re biased and really do love the CPH, the great travelers we meet there and the revamped The Colony Club.

Just returned from a 4 night-stay. First the pros - exquisite bed and linens, large and comfortable room. Very large and pretty pool (believe it s saline - lovely). Food is tremendous at on-site restaurant. Cons - horrible, horrible service. So inconsistent and quite frankly, rude. They were more concerned about hanging wallpaper in the newly-designed restaurant than they were about their guests. Food and drink overpriced. For $400+ a night, service should be impeccable. Hopefully they get their act together! We stayed 2 years ago (pre-renovation) and it was much better- the service, the ambiance. Why ruin a perfectly good boutique hotel? Oh yeah, $$$$ = greed.

Would not recommend. I do understand that it was the second weekend they were open under new ownership. However, for over $500 a night none of the following issues should occur: The website says it is adults only 18 over but there were several young children dominating the pool area both days we were there. Housekeeping did not service the room which is fine in COVID, but there was only one roll of toilet paper and two towels in the bathroom. When we called for more it took over an hour. Staff isn t very attentive at the pool. You have to go to the bar and ask usually if you want something. Also, one morning we ordered coffees. They never came and when we told the waiter we never got them he argued with us and still tried to change us for them. This is what you would expect at a 2 or 3 star hotel but not the Colony I remember. We tried to voice complaints via email to management and no response after 5 days.

First time in Palm Springs and had a great visit at this intimate boutique hotel. Bathed in rich history, this establishment offered my husband and I a peaceful and beautiful visit. Located a block from the main road, we rarely had to use our car choosing to walk to many of the shops and eateries nearby.

Pros: courteous and attentive staff, beautiful and spacious rooms, attractive pool scene, amazing onsite restaurant (Purple Palms), quiet and intimate

Cons: older establishment means thinner walls - we could hear a lot of the noise from the outside gate, we were next to an exit. Also, extremely low flow in the showers.

It was honestly the most comfortable and relaxing vacation I've ever been on. Customer service was impeccable. Salt water pool perfect. Linens luxurious. Didn't order any poolside service but from what I saw of others' orders everything looked terrific.

This place is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. Very quite and peaceful. Lots to look at and the pool is open 24/7. We went to the spa for a couples massage and it was delightful. Had a nice time. Didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable. Very nice clear instructions. I would go again permitting my wallet allowed lol. Not the cheapest place in the block but right in the heart of downtown can't beat that.

The hotel booked me and called a week before my stay to tell me that no kids were allowed, when I booked the no kids allowed was not listed on the site and the canceled my reservation. Now I cant get any decent place.
