Lovely place to catch up with friends for a coffee and chat
Children love to see the chickens and other animals just walking free. Great cafe
Beautiful vegetable and herb gardens to wonder through.

Nice farm. A little sparse on animals but a good simple time out with kids. Major downside is only one parents room, no change table in men's toilets. For a place called the Collingwood Children's Farm, their child-focused facilities are pretty lacking.

We had our son's 3rd Birthday here last weekend and despite really bad weather the staff were absolutely amazing and so incredibly helpful! We have been going for years and the kids love it but this experience last weekend was just above and beyond what we expected. So we would definitely recommend for a fun day out or for a kids birthday party.

If you re stuck on something to do with the kiddies, Collingwood Children s Farm is definitely an awesome place to explore. With lots of animals around the property (for kids to chase and play with), it also includes scheduled meet & greet times with animals too. Lots of chill areas too, making it suitable for all ages. The cafe and walking track on the outside make it for a good day out for kids and big kids at heart, especially on beautiful summer days. Lots of parking nearby makes the entire day pretty effortless, so grab yourself a coffee and enjoy your day!

Yes the people are nice. Yes, it s next to the convent where coffee is great with really nice gardens. That gets this place to two stars. Now the negatives. For $25 plus another $12 for parking, I expect to see more than hamsters, pigs, horses, cows and chickens. Also not pleased that it just gets too packed. Traffic is horrible if you don t live in Kew or Abbotsford. (It took us 45 mins each way to drive there from Malvern).

Do yourself a favour go to Myuna Farm where there are many more animals (including deer, donkeys alpacas, sheep, goats, turkeys and emus) where you get to feed them. Where parking is free and traffic is a lot less. Where they have miniature train rides and proper playground equipment. myuna farm is further out from the city but much quicker to get to.

We frequently visit this place for the farmers market that is here. Really beautifully nestled in the back with quite a stunning view of the tree line behind. Plenty of facilities for the family. Indoor and outdoor seating. Cafeteria also looks nice.
They do house some animals like a chickens, cow and some goats. Ethically I m not sure how they are treated so I won t comment on it.
Close to Abbotsford covenant with more food options and places to sit and relax on green grass.

I went with my partner today around one hour before close so we got in for half price which was great. It definitely is more for families and young kids. There is a nice cafe there and the place has a nice vibe overall. There werent that many animals, lots of chickens, a few cows, goats, sheep and a couple of horses, however, it looked like they had planned activities throughout the day (animal feeding, etc.) which would make it super fun for families.

Apart from having hardly any animals to look at/interact with - I was left with an inconsolable 2 year old due to a worker at the CCF.
My son went up the worker during our visit this morning, and waited patiently in line to receive some feed (hay) to feed the cows. My son was noticeably ignored, and then he politely asked for "food please" after no other child was left in line. The worker then said "are you part of the party to him" to which i stepped in and said no,and that we werent aware the children around us were part of a party. My son burst into tears, as she wouldnt give him any food to feed the cows and she showed no remorse when he did so. Not sure how giving some hay to a child is breaking protocol but she could have just given him some. very poor customer service, why work at a childrens attraction if you cant show empathy or undertanding to an upset child! l will never return or recommend this place to anyone, after a 20 minute walk around the premises we had already seen all there was to see - a pen of chickens, a handful of goats, 1 horse and 2 calves.

Had a really horrible experience with the old man taking payment to enter the farmers market. He was incredibly rude when I tried to regain entry after not being told I needed a stamp to get back in. Horrible man!

Fantastic farm experience, totally hands on for children including animal feedings, guinea pig cuddles and brushing down the cow while milking. Following the rules is a must, or everybody loses (fair call).

I understand they don't want to waste paper by printing a map for each visitor, but several large maps around would have been helpful.
It also wasn't clear where we could & couldn't go. Again, better signage would help.
I think this would be a fairly interesting experience for a "city kid" but if you live somewhere even vaguely rural, possibly even suburban, probably not worth the entry fee.

I have to agree with betul oruc comments on their visit.
We live in Cranbourne, given that we have been to Churchill heritage farm and loved it we thought we'd give our 9 year old a different experience and traveled into Collingwood childrens farm. When paying to enter the farm I asked for a map and was told there are signs to read, you can go anywhere there are no padlocks, she was not a very nice person, that's when we should have turned back. EVERTHING is padlocked, the only animals your children can interact with are those that rest next to the fences or the very unhealthy chickens that roam around the cafe area. I have raised chickens for many years myself, the chickens at Collingwood childrens farm are dirty, worm and lice infested, PARENTS please don't allow your children to interact with them. the CAFE STAFF need to learn some hygiene wiping your nose with your hand and serving customers is not on. We were given a dirty tray to carry our food on, the straws and cutlery are out in the open with flies resting on them if your not sick after visiting the farm your lucky. Staff members just walked pass without a greeting you, they completely ignored visitors. ATT ALL STAFF at Collingwood childrens farm, the guest that you are so rude to pay your wages, I don't think it is hard to smile and say hello.
TO all those that visit this farm and rate it more than 1 star you really do need to visit Churchill Heritage farm it is worth the drive and the is worth the extra couple of dollars to enter.

Beautiful location to experience a working farm with the kids and have a trendy coffee or lunch afterwards. Warning: there's a $20 entry fee per family. If you just want to see some animals there are better places to go.

It's not hard to say that adult admission for this scale is $ 12. Basically, it's a fun place for children and an adult companion. But it is such a thing to keep animals. It is also subtle that the restroom is dirty.

Great atmosphere but the Farmers Breakfast wasn't hot - two poached eggs that were two different temperatures and one with a solid yolk and the 2nd one runny. Sausages were cold.

Omelette was outstanding.

Enjoyed the first time but then it wasn't as fun after that. It is great to see a working farm in action and see some farm animals, but otherwise there is not that much to see and do even for the kids. It is not so great when it is crowded, or if there are functions like a birthday party being held when you go there. It is probably best if you go on a weekday where it could be more like a relaxing stroll. The price is a bit steep for what there is to offer.

Beautiful farm, with nice interactivity elements. I recommend a tour. We walked around the farm and that made it feel as if we were part of the community. I also found staff very supportive of our disability group that came to visit. 4 stars.
