The Coliseum Nachos are Coliseum sized. Simple food menu but good food. Great place to watch a game.

Great music, wonderful microbrews on tap, good food.

Great atmosphere to watch the game and have a few drinks. The food is good. They typically have a bus that can take you from the bar to Camp Randal for Badger football games, with return trip. The price for the bus trip is inexpensive.

Friendly service, good food for a very reasonable price. Typical pub scene..not dark or gloomy and is spacious..but it does echo in there and can be loud. It's convenient if near coliseum or energy center.

Good burger, I'm usually a easy 5 star, the bartender just had a attitude. Favorite cheese curds in madison.

This used to be my favorite burger place. They always seem to be short staffed now and the waitress we had ignored us and messed up our order. We were there for over 45 minutes by the time we got our food and about 25 minutes to get 3 pops. She didn't seem to care or listen at all. We ordered 3 meals and an appetizer and 1 meal to go for someone at home. All of our stuff was packaged to go. The cook delivered it to our table and he would be the only reason I would have given more stars but our waitress was horrible. She deserves negative stars. She never even checked on us. And even when she brought the bill she didn't ask us how it was. We were invisible to her completely. I have been in the food service industry for over 20 years and I hate to say it but I'm pretty sure I will never go back here. Sad day

Great burgers and seems like a great place to drink and party.

Service is hit or miss...never amazing, never extraordinary. Atmosphere is what youd expect from a sports bar. TONS of TVs with every game you can think of. The food in the other hand is without question some of the best bar fare I've ever had. Generous portions for a decent price too. If you're in the area or staying at a hotel near by, it's worth the trip.

Good place to go before and after Badger games since they have a free shuttle. Good bar food and a decent beer selection.

Good place to Eat and Drink Early. Went in on Sunday night 2/17/19 for food and drink, due to the weather they were closing early so the kitchen was closed, but the bartender was very helpful (5 Stars). Went back on 2/18/19 for food/drink before going to the badger game, food and service was good (5 Stars). Stopped back after the game and had to wait 10+ Minutes to get a Weak Drink, and a very useless bartender, she took more time talking with her friends and fooling around then waiting on customers, I think she wanted to close and get out, I would give her a -3 Stars.

Excellent food and great service. Perfect spot for before a Badger game.

Tasty burger and good variety of micro brews on tap.

Arrived on a Friday night to find the parking lot absolutely full. We were determined to give it a try, and after snagging a spot as someone was leaving, when we got in, the dining area did not reflect the parking lot. Scratching our heads, we sat down and were greeted almost immediately. A PA announcement explained the off-balance parking lot to people ratio; the bar hosts a bus to the Kohl Center and this night was for a hockey game. I'm all for buses and keeping some of that traffic out of down town, but it did make it tricky for others to visit the restaurant. Regardless, our order was taken quickly and the food was served before I finished my soup, and everything was piping hot.

I ordered the 4-piece cod meal with fries, came with a nice helping of cole slaw and tartar sauce. I had a soup choice and got the butternut soup. It clearly didn't fall off the Sysco truck and I asked if they made it there. Indeed they did, and it tasted fresh and home made.

I enjoyed the fish because while deep fried, it was not heavily breaded, a real plus in my book. My companions each had the classic burger cooked to their liking.

While the menu reads "pub food" I'd call the quality and service a step up. Food gets four stars, parking situation drops the overall experience a notch. I'm only basing this on the parking for the night we attended, it's probably better most nights.

Our server needs to practice proper hand washing and better hygienic practices when working with food and drinks. Also, our service was slow.. Maybe if we had more people at our table she would've been a little more attentive. I think it's bogus when we sat down she asked of we were waiting long before getting our drink order. If she was circling around and touching tables like she's supposed to she wouldn't have had to ask that question.

Meanwhile, we are sitting her waiting for our check for the past 9 minutes. We have leftovers that need a to-go box and have the table cleared. Still no check... W... T... F...

Was in town for a 4 day training.... went here everyday because the food was consistently so good. They have anything and everything youd want!

Had a bad experience in the parking lot. Food is typical greasy bar food. Close to alient energy center so nice for a drink before or after a show

We eat there about once a month. Service is usually good, but we have had poor service, it depends upon the server. We usually like our food. We recently went there for my daughter s birthday on March 11, 2020. Since I am a hand washer, when we walked in, I immediately went to the Men s room to wash my hands. When I walked in, someone just finished using the urinal and was walking towards the door to leave the restroom, he noticed me and rerouted to wash his hands. I noticed that he was wearing a Coliseum Bar shirt, he was an employee. After I washed my hands, I walked to our table and noticed that he was sitting at the bar with a drink and viewing a tablet. Hopefully he was done with his shift, not just on break. Everyone needs to wash their hands whether they are an employee or not. Employees should always wash their hands, not just when someone else is in the restroom.

Good selection of food for event and decent bartender

In town for the world dairy expo, nice bar, good atmosphere...condescending and snotty service from the two male bartenders.
Asked if they had clamato - nope (which was fine)
Asked for a bloody Mary and asked to get it spicy.
"It's a mix..." *insert eye roll and huff*-bartender
Okay so no getting it spicier.
I'll have a beer.

Come back to order more drinks, process repeats itself with same pretentious tone *multiple times until I finally asked for the check. I left a 25% tip because I know ppl have off days but I will never be back here.
You don't like your job, then quit.

The men's bathroom upstairs was the worst smelling restroom I have ever been in! I have been in roadside outhouses that was more tolerable than that restroom upstairs near the banquet hall. Won't see me again

Good place for sports and Badger games. Have buses to the Badger games. The place gets pretty full on Badger Game Days so it can be hard to find a place to sit. Food is very good tator tots are really good. Huge selection of beer to choose from. When it is busy it is noisy. Up stairs banquet room is nice to host parties or large groups.

Attended a reunion, 80+ attendees in the upstairs banquet room. Staff downstairs and upstairs we're very friendly and courteous. Our meal was a buffet, all the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The room was very comfortable on nasty cold day. Room was bright, clean and more than adequate for our purposes.

I found this really awesome place today for lunch. For a lunch, this place wasn t busy at all, and I can see how it would be quite the place for a sports game. I ordered the self named Coliseum burger, but they do have some other interesting concoctions. Namely the World Dairy Burger Two bites into my burger, and I can tell this is in my top 3 burgers! The flavor of the burger was out of this world. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned awesome, and had a slight buttery taste to it. Absolutely delicious! If you re in Madison, highly recommend this joint for an awesome burger!

If I could leave 0 starts I would. I entered on a Friday at 4pm less than 20 people total with 5 servers and bartenders. Waited 15 minutes to be asked rudly what I wanted yo drink. Now at 30 minutes waiting for a second drink and a menu. Bartender is rude and visibly annoyed with her job.

Best seen in the dark. If as a bartender you don't know what an unfiltered wheat is...go work in the kitchen...or if you own the place train your employees. However, the buffalo wrap is worth a try if you like it spicy.

First of all this place is a bar and grill with an emphasis on Grill! Many beers to choose from but the food is worth the stop. Atmosphere is chill for a sports bar at lunch but the evenings can get live with outside volleyball tournaments. Check this place out if your in the area. Location is easy to get to from the Beltline as well.

It is nothing fancy, but it works if you are looking to rent a space, they have room. The upstairs area has its own bathrooms/bar/dance floor. Very friendly bartenders and staff.

I didnt see a bank of beer taps that were sort of hidden and thought there was less to choose from. Staff was friendly, but seemed to be more into something else that was going on around them, it was very slow, I was one of 3 customers. Overall still a good experience and I will go back.

The staff here went out of their way to accommodate us with a baby and with some physical limitations of one of group members. Awesome place, friendly people, will definately visit again!

I went here for dinner while in town on business. Great food, large portions and fun, upbeat live music.
