Great foid, awesome service, delicious beer on tap.
Great food and atmosphere! Very large, plenty of tables, bar is nicely setup. Plenty of TV's tp watch sporting events. Volleyball courts outside with plenty of picnic tables.
This place is great, they are always willing to help out when a local charity needs something. The food and service here are great. I have never had a problem with anyone being rude at all. It is a fun bar that really caters to area sports fans! I would recommend stopping in!
Food is good and priced good. Domestic beer is overpriced... Maybe not for Madison, but it definitely is where I drink. $4 for a Budweiser is a bit much. Depending on the server, you get excellent or mediocre. Wish I could remember our server's name, she was excellent! Friendly and engaged us.
Listened to the band, Wheelhouse. Great service, music & food!
The food was pretty tasty, but our server was really spacey. Food and drink came slowly and there were issues with the order being correct for some of our party. No one seemed to know what my drink was called (I could only partially read it from the other side of the room. Poor eye sight) but I decided to try it anyway (Plaid Panther, it was good) There were also issues with splitting the check correctly. This is could easily just be an individual issue.
However, the atmosphere is fun, and the space is clean. In general, I'd come again. But I'd probably explore other places first
We went here for a group event. The space was good for our group size (~100). The buffet style food was good but not great. For some reason the event planners didn't arrange for a vegetarian option beyond a salad so I can't speak to that.
We have gone there for other events and the bar is very good as well.
We had a very great server food was very good highly recommend location for a nice sports bar and good bar menu
This place sucks. Bad bartender. Bad food. Lucky they are close to the hotel or would never visit.
Ok for a beer and food. The night we went there was very little atmosphere and not a lot going on.
Good food and our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we had a good meal!
Spent $75 on food & drinks and still had to pay for riding shuttle to badger basketball game. Total ripoff. Will never go there again.
Nachos are huge and pretty good. I wonder if they clean their beer lines?
Only went here for volleyball league. And...that ll probably change next year. The refs canceled games at the very first chance of rain. Tenpin doesn t cancel unless there is severe lightning. The courts weren t well taken care of either.
Only had chlli ans a beer for lunch but will be back. Great place, atmosphere and service!
Great service, good food! Very nice atmosphere. We went on a Sunday afternoon and watched football while we ate! Nice time overall.
Came for a Badger hockey. They had a free shuttle and service was fast.
Consistantly the worst service and mediocre food of any restaurant in Madison.
Excellent food, great portions for the price. Staff was friendly, but be warned on busy days (badger games) very busy.
Plenty of parking desperate room for parties excellent staff
Great place to have a drink and play some sand volleyball.
Banquet room was nicely set up and well maintained. Food was great.
Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we arrived, but the staff was friendly and courteous.
Okay bar, really a place to go before a Badgers basketball game
Waited a long time for waitress
She wasn't that busy
Great place to watch sporting events, fast table service, great atmosphere.
Good food. Service not super friendly and a bit slow. But overall is a good place.
Terrible Bartenders. 12pm on a Sunday, 4 bartenders, and maybe 15 customers. I was never asked if I wanted a drink, nor if I wanted a refill.
The food was pretty good, but the staff ruined it.
Nice local hang out. The food was okay. The waiters and waitresses were very nice. Low key atmosphere, nice people. Good place just to hang out with friends and have a couple of drinks.
Food: average. The Athens burger was decent. Overcooked, but I'll live. I think their grill cook needs to learn the difference between medium and well. Please.
Service: ugh. That server acted like she would have had more fun gouging out her eyeballs with a rusty spork. I would describe her, but she didn't come around often enough or for long enough for me to get a good look at her.
Atmosphere: this is why I came. Good vibes, great volleyball being played, and decent prices for drinks.
All in all, a good bet. I think the server we got this time was a fluke. Kick back, watch (or play) some volleyball, and have a few drinks!
I ended up going here twice as I work in the office complex and I have to say, it did not meet my expectations. The prices are okay, but not great and the decor and staff seemed adequate, but what really lets this place down is the food.
Both sandwiches, the extreme grilled cheese and fish sandwich, I ordered felt "slapped" together with no attention paid to how they fit together, making them both a messy proposition. Further they were both rather bland despite having ranch and garlic dressing respectively. They also had sub-par cheese, which is a big problem for me.
The fish sandwich stands out as being especially horrible as the fish was over cooked, resulting in a dry chewy mess.
I had sweet potato fries on the side which weren't bad, but could have been cooked a bit more for my taste.
Despite being the most convenient place for me to have lunch (when I don't bring anything), I will not return here.
My wife and I tried this place for the first time at noon on a Wednesday. The chicken dumpling soup was excellent ($3.49 for a cup, $5.49 fora bowl). We also had the hamburger sliders for about $8.50 (chicken is also available) and for my side I had the waffle fries. Other side dishes choices are cottage cheese, cole slaw, French fries, and roasted vegetables-- one side is included with the sandwiches.
The sliders were thick and juicy, and cooked so that the centers had just the slightest hint of pink color. They are served with grilled onion and cheddar cheese on them. The waffle fries were thick and slightly seasoned, and were also perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside and tender in the middle.
Coke products are served ($2.25 with refills). Draft Spotted Cow beers were $4.50.
Most sandwiches were in the $8.50 to $10 range and included a side dish. They have a very large selection. There were also items like pizza, nachos, gyro sandwich, cheese curds, etc on the menu in addition to the more standard chicken, beef, brats, hot dogs, Rueben, etc..
The bar is very large, lots of TV's to watch a game, and a large separate dining area is off to the side of the main bar area if you want a more quiet dinner. The service was excellent. The bathrooms and entire business) were clean.
Very rude service!! Food also horrible...pretty sure bar tenders were racist
Great place for a casual meeting. Wonderful food and drinks.
Good service, great food! Good place to watch the game!
Awesome bartenders, strong drinks, great burgers. Will be back!!
Place has gotten better and better over the years.
Once a dingey hole in the wall, it now is inviting and has quality food.
Nice place for get together before games or just for fun. Good beer selection.
WOMEN BEWARE. This bar is okay with sexual assault and older men calling women our favorite C word. Do not go alone. Do not go in a group smaller than four.
I've been here a handful of times and I always sit at the bar. Different people tending bar every time, but average service all around and usually dark.
I've never had a burger like the few pictured and after my last visit to the Colliseum, I'm VERY happy staying at my normal bars and getting great burgers from Paradise, Jordan's Big 10, even DLUX. Even with the lights on, some man stroked all the way down my pants and tried to grab me in my front area.. so i dumped my drink on him & the bartender said we were "even" and let the man's older father scream swear words at me and try to fight! Not a bar to casually hang out--creeps here will be encouraged to just take what they want. I don't think the bartender mentioned his name, but he's short and scruffy. Walk out if that's your dude.
Great place!! I was here for a wedding and reception for my NEW SON!! CONGRATULATIONS DOUG AND MIRANDA!!
Excellant staff, event great did a great job very helpful food was awesome
Service was awesome but unfortunately their menu is not current and the buffalo burger is no longer available (a long time favorite when coming here!) Truly disappointed!
Good prices, great service and amazing fries after a night of dri....fun.
Typical Sports Bar with some interesting Menu items beyond the "normal" bar food along with plenty of seasonal beers on tap
Used to be the spot. Not no more. Should have stayed away, obvious lack of maintenance as both neon signs were half lit. Food subpar for a pub/sports bar. Warm bodies for servers with a side of attitude and racial ignorance. Server takes away the sour cream and when we asked for another one, she stated we would have to be charged extra for another. Anyone giving this place decent ratings was clearly just there to drink tap beer.
Free parking lot. Large bar restaurant, sparse mid-week lunch crowd. Ate hamburgers & fries at the bar. Food was good, as was the service.
Came in with my family at 6:00. we all ordered right away. it has been 40 minutes and they just informed us that they are out of necessary ingredients for some of the items we ordered. still no sight of the other food we ordered. the waitress was not understanding of the situation and was quite rude. i will not be coming back and will express how bad this place is to anyone who considers coming.
Great sports bar with multiple TVs to catch various sports. Decent selection of beers and kudos to cook for some really tasty sandwiches (french dip and philly cheese steak). Bartender super busy with bar and tables and got folks taken care of. Will be back to check out patio
Came here for brat fest. Great bartender who was fast to serve and had a nice chat with him about the upcoming days and how long he's been in business. His friendliness will have me coming back at some point when I make it that way again. The drinks were good but didn't have a chance to try the food.
Great drinks and a warm, fun environment! Loved that they have sand volleyball.
Food came wrong, burger was dry enough to play hockey. Dropped it off for practice haha not great won't be back.
Always good service from the bartenders. Good selection of beers!
It is a nice bar. They were kind of understaffed for the amount of people.
The food was great & the bartender had personality!
This is a great place to stop before any Wisconsin athletic event had a fun time. Great service will return
We had a great time with friends sitting outside during the fireworks having drinks and appetizers. Had the nacho platter it was huge and feed 4 of us nicely.
Loud, loud, loud! I had a Ruben and it was tough and stringy. The fries were good. Beer was almost cold.
Fantastic. Was there for a volleyball tournament and the food was good and the drinks were reasonable. Our waitress was phenomenal, attentive, and personable especially while interacting with my kid.
