A store that is clearly stocked by head office who have never been to Brisbane, or this store. Staff overfill the shelves, and block the air vents on fridges, so dairy items end up hot. And only one staff member knows how to smile. The rest are surly and don't like that they have been inconvenienced by customers who dared walk into their store.

Very expensive Coles. Priced for CBD customers with little option to go elsewhere.

Disgusting store, rude staff and these guys don't match catalog prices that come up in 4000 post code catalog.

The expresses don't seem to have as many specials as the regular Coles, but I will generally come here for a small shop.

The only place to buy fruits, milk, yogurt, bread and many more things, righ from breakfast to snacks in area surrounded by queen street mall.

Great location and consistent prices with all the other Coles stores.

Convenient hours for those last minute items or if you want to stock your holiday kitchenette.

Downstairs, air conditioned and easy to find.

Has one of the highest densities of self checkouts I've ever scene. Love it.

It's a Coles Express market, don't expect a huge selection of food stuffs.

Appalling service from SONU at the cigarette counter yesterday. Being with another customer who had sheets of paper in front of her looking like it was a job interview almost, was taking up her time. Basic customer service 101 is when you see two other customers waiting, you acknowledge their presence with a nod or a brief and couteous sentence saying that you will be with them shortly. Lady behind me even commented. But NO...I get a look FULL of attitude from this woman SONU when I brought her up on it. She walks over to her fellow Indian co-worker and shakes her head with a definitive 'stupid white people'. Reverse racism alive and well at COLES CBD.

Good small Coles. Busy most of the time. The tall Indian security guard at the front door treats every customer as if they are a shoplifter. Every time he stares at me I feel like punching him in the face.

Great location, small store but all the necessitates can be found here.

The administrator near the self checkout counter was unreasonably coercive. I felt she did some sort of racism to me. I wonder how they are allowing these pictures in this review page if taking picture is not allowed in the store. As a traveler I would have liked to record a good memory with shopping in coles store, but she forced me to delete pictures with unfriendly face and voice. I think it might be related to the person only,however, at least she is the worker in this company and I couldn't remove the linked feeling of being insulted by the company worker in many people near the cash counter for a few minutes. Not only this but other unhappy happenings make me feel like not to go there after that experience.

Good place right in the middle of town great range of deli style food which is perfect to take back to where you are staying.Lot cheaper than hotel food and more home like.
Every time I have been into the store it has been.busy.

Small supermarket in the middle of the city. Limited selection due to small space but you find all essentials you need. Big self service checkout which prevents long cues from building up during leak hours...

Although it was very hard for me to find it and there s not a great variety of products, was a good experience.

Pretty standard supermarket, usually 2 or 3 cashiers and there are a lot of self-serve checkouts

It's good that it is so central to busway prices are ok but dont have catalogue specials

It's just like any other Coles except prices are slightly higher and selection is less.

The variety of item are very few. Prices are higher compared to other coles in general. Rarely has specials.

It's very handy if you are looking to buy a couple of things on the way home from work.

A little bit slow on the check out during my visit, but over all not a bad Coles. Selection is as expected at any other supermarket.

Generally well stocked, but tries to sell a very small range of everything. I had to return a mediterranean salad due to the contents half missing and oozing pink fluid, staff exchanged it no trouble but other sealed salad bowls are still on the shelf with variable amounts. Self service checkouts are good, fast and well attended.

Fast checkouts is the only plus here, this supermarket is very expensive: unlike regular Coles supermarkets, nothing is ever on sale or discounted here. Even items close to expiry barely get reduced. It is often cheaper and healthier to dine out rather than get a quick lunch. Disappointingly, Coles range of premade frozen meals is also poor here, with only the least popular options made available in in scarce quantities, almost as if they wanted to force you into purchasing the branded items. I hate Coles Express stores, they are tipoffs.

I dont know if its because of the color of my skin but i felt followed by the the big big boned security guard on 2 occassions. The first time i brushed it off, but the second time it became really obvious. I walked in whilst he was at the door but somehow i would turn a corner and he would be there. I was so annoyed i didnt even finish my shooping and guess what he suddenly decided to stand at the registers when i was paying even tho there was someone else there. This was on Sunday May 10 around 5 pm if u needed to identify the person.

Too expensive uneccesarily. I think they motive the local Aussie products and farmer's meanwhile demotivating the buyers.

What are you expecting? It is just grocery store

Never have any stock, fruit is always bruised and out of date. Pre packed products never are on shelf.
Over priced compared to other stores!

A very good supermarket in the city, very well stocked with everything required, good variety of fruit, meat and vegetables and all at a reasonable price.

Quick easy shopping has most fruit vegetables, bakery and deli products. Great if work in city near bus turmoil, quick shop before you gi home.
Not too long a wait, has staff at checkouts or self service.

Layout is awful. Selection is abysmal (even not carrying their own brand of some items). Often out of stock of items such as lactose free milk. Never has specials that the suburban stores run. Also does not have Redcycle bin for collecting plastic bags and soft plastics. Only good thing I can say is that they have ample (self serve) registers and the staff are nice.

Good shopping ,it is a city so expect it to be busy at times , shop before midday if u can

In fact, it is a general supermarket. But I can't find the oyster sauce moisturizer I want here.

Lots of self serve consoles and service counters so in and out is pretty quick. Fresh fruit and veg is up to usual high standard.

It good but busy and cramped but I got some meat so that good but the cold drink fridge was seriously lacking in choice and some of the solo was warm

Everything you expect from a supermarket. Reasonable prices.

Good for when you only need a few things. Limited range. Can be crowded as the aisles are narrow. Prices on many items are higher than in the suburbs, but the convenience is the main positive. Better off going to the slightly bigger Coles store on the lower ground floor of Queens Plaza, down the mall on the other side, below David Jones.

Staff were too busy talking to each other at 6:30PM Monday 3/8 rather than meeting the self service checkout leading to many customers waiting for help rather than getting the help they need it right away

really busy coles in the myer centre. the store does well considering the amount of people who come through here. lots of self checkouts available.
