It a very good college, with a Mix of courses there. Am in there for a B.A. I find the classes are very good, but it's like all colleges you have to put in the work. If you don't put the working you don't get what you want that's simple. The teachers are very helpful know their stuff Plus gives you the material to do the work. Went to ballyfermot for 2D Animation have a full diploma and have worked in the industry. So I know what I'm talking about. But not a pretty building but have you seen ballyfermot that is god damn ugly.....

The animation course is pathetic, you mostly need to learn stuff yourself as you won't from the the tutors, pretty much none of whom work in the industry so don't have relevant/up to date knowledge. The degree does have an industry professional but it is only taught 3 nights a week in the evening so you aren't getting much time with them.
You'll be discouraged from working in the industry by some tutors who think making your own things independently is the best, which is the completely wrong opinion as you'll never be able to support yourself that way.
During my time there the person teaching 3D only used 3DS Max and didn't even teach, instead would take a roll call and then leave for 3 hours. The industry standard is Maya, not 3DS Max.
The animation tutor was completely tech illiterate, could barely turn on a computer, so the only "teaching" was pencil on paper but that was relegated to putting on videos. They also taught film studies but every opinion they had was based off of what someone else said, was very rude, wasn't open to the classes opinions, and treated the class like a bunch of school children.
The layout tutor was amazing though.
The college itself is a dump, quite literally, it's always filthy and the cleaners are a joke. I once seen a cleaner mop the floor then use the same mop on the desks with computers.
Great place to work and study, lecturers are experts in their fields and the building/lecturers cater for physical disability (e.g., wheelchair users), gender neutral toilets, and technology-enhanced learning. As one of the more popular colleges, I have found it lives up to its reputation.
Horrible location, teaching staff are unresponsive to emails, you'll be lucky to get an email from them after a month, teaching staff are useless, cannot give you proper answers to your questions so you'll still be lost on the topic even though you did your part by asking, if you don't have previous experience outside of the college on the course you're studying then you will struggle to pass your course. Don't recommend this college at all, terrible staff, I highly recommend you avoid this institute unless you want to waste a year, look for any other institute of education, any other, other than this one.
I did the BA Animation course here and loved it. Very knowledgeable and supportive tutors made it a very enjoyable and nurturing learning environment. Highly recommend studying here
