CoCal Landscape Review

Getting a plow and driver to the right place at the right time, during and after a storm, is apparently difficult for any company that we've used. As the snow removal manager for our HOA, with multiple miles of road, I've been in contact with Roberto several times during each storm this season. It is great that he always responds, and has accurate information for me (even if I'm not pleased with the news). CoCal is getting better with their first season of service at our community. Responding to our requests is critical, and Roberto is always there to answer and help.

Almost got hit by one of your drivers in Ft Collins who was TO BUSY ON HIS PHONE TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE HE WAS DRIVING. Truck #0311. This just occurred.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Read the reviews before you do business with them. They are very good at collecting their money, but their warranty is useless. I have been waiting now for 5 months for them to repair a gate that was installed incorrectly to begin with. After numerous promises to fix it, now they won't respond to me at all. The WORST customer service I have experienced in a long time. It took almost 3 months for them to replace dying plants. STAY AWAY!!! The owner Stacey won't call me back and Frank the designer ignores any communication. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. They are also overpriced, get another bid, you'll do better!

I work for an apartment community that vocal services. This company is terrible. They started to rake up our pine needles then said they didn t do that. And when it snows it s like pulling teeth to get them out and even then they are iverheard by residents complaining.(they get paid more for every time they come do snow removal) they are just worthless.

I saw them on YouTube after looking for companies to work in the United States, I saw that it is a company that likes to help their countrymen, but I have sent them a message to apply for a job and go to the United States through their sponsorship, but not They have answered me :(

these guys suck. they do sloppy work. they dont weed-wack around poles or sign posts, even after you complain about it every month for years. they dont care. but after 3 years of it... i had to post a review.... oh and their "snow removal"? ..even worse. morons send a small 1997 S-10 pickup with a tiny blade on it. all it does it compact the snow and make it even slicker. and they show up after the parking lot is full (even though our contract is for 5am) and they just make a mess. idiots.

I love this company. They not only work hard in landscape in the summer, but all year round. They're great with their snow removal fleet. They are always super busy, so if you don't get thru right away, please call them again.

This is Corne, property manager of The Avenues Crofton Park Apartments. We are a 55+ community, it is imperative to have clear roads and sidewalks for our senior residents. Since we have joined partnership with CoCal in 2019 for landscaping and snow removal, we have been very pleased with their responsiveness and punctuality to clear up our the roads and pathways for our residents. We value this company and enjoy being partners!

They do not return phone calls, and they don't answer their phones

I was injured because I tripped and fall due to a workers negligence of not posting signs that they had a wire going from street to property that was not very visible. Supervisor told worker to tell me it was a construction area (no signs posted) and it was not his problem. So if you have someone do eowo for you and something occurs like this, think of whom the problem will lay.

They have not lived up to their one year warranty and will not respond timely or make an appointment

I am literally watching these guys blow dirt & leaves out of our docking space and all of it is going right back in our shop! Blowing dirt and trash all over the parking lot and all of the cars parked our front are now filthy. They could have just asked us to close our doors but they can even do that! Absolutely terrible and pathetic workers!

This company is the definition of bad management. The crew that comes on site rarely knows whats going on and rarely follows the contract.

The management team doesn't return calls, doesn't relay messages to their crew, and doesn't follow up with their crew to be sure everything was completed as suggested.

If you hire CoCal, be prepared to pay more than deserved and receive poor services in which you end up managing their crew and managers and not them. Its a wonder how they became such a large company...

UPDATE - 11/6/13
Since I posted the language above, my services have changed dramatically for the best. Carlos, the VP of CoCal, came to my property personally and listened to all my concerns and frustrations. He personally took over management of my property willingly and went out of his way to contact me.

Since that time he has made sure that a Crew Member speaks with me each week and that all my needs have been met. He usually answers my call the first time and calls me back within the same day if he is unavailable.

We have used CoCal for several years to mow and clean up a vacant property for out of state owners. They have always done a great job and been very accommodating to our request for before/after photos. The people are friendly and professional. A great experience overall.

Our experience working with CoCal lived up to every expectation a consumer could have. They were professional, their work was of high quality, they were fairly priced, and most important of all (to me anyway), communication was excellent from start to finish. Dallas provided great advice as well as a design that ended up being just what we were looking for. At no point did we feel pressured, as we had with other companies, to "do more", aka spend more, and Victor and his team installed our landscaping just as we expected it to look. We're super stoked on our new yard! Thank you CoCal!

Will not guarantee any of their work. Over priced for such poor quality. Terrible customer service

They ruined our lawn by using too much fertilizer, then turning our sprinklers off! I gave them 2 months to fix it, they never did. Overall experience with everything else they did was not professional. I have come to the conclusion they have no idea what they are doing.

Another accident almost caused by cocal landscaping! Truck 0128 traveling West on Hampden dropped 2 bags of clippings in the middle of the highway at Wadsworth... Continuing to drive without going to pick it up... I followed them to the Waste Management transfer at station where my trip ended and they continued on.
My husband picks up trash all day but I guess if it's still there and we can get to it without getting hit, we will pick it up. But I will remember NOT to use CoCal Landscaping, I'll tell everyone i know as well!

As difficult as closing out a new project can be CoCal and Ferman Martinez performed excellent and completed our scope ahead of anticipated schedule. Communicating with me even on Saturdays to organize our work.
I would be pleased to work with Ferman again.
