Unlike some other courthouses it has lots of free parking. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the Marietta square
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING A MILE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT IN COBB COUNTY.....That having been said for a title, I truly dislike Cobb County. We gladly moved to Roswell in Fulton county. Apparently, a long time ago, Cobb decided it would be a good idea to absolutely harass drivers constantly with "police gatherings" as I call them. Ladies and gentlemen, they love these things. CUSHY JOB FOR PRECIENT 4.....Woodlawn, Paper Mill....5 million dollar homes, women in tennis skirts... easy to be a cop when it s so safe. They can carry their big badges and guns and make their quota stroking their inflated egos in the process. This has been going on for as long as residents can remember. 3 or 4 will sit together, nice food in one hand, laser gun in another, in a very opportune area with difficult visibility and pull people over in droves. Didn't come to a complete stop right on the white line? Ticket. In a 35 zone that lasts what only seems to be 3 feet before going back to 40? Ticket. They are some of the most intimidating, self righteous police officers as well. Asking for a warning got me told off and left me in tears. Frank Rotondo, the executive director of the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police was even quoted in an AJC article stating that if fines are in excess of 10% of a county's government revenue, the enforcement tactics should be looked more closely at. I have NEVER been able to find data as to EXACTLY HOW MUCH MONEY COBB MAKES FROM TRAFFIC TICKETS. Citizens, we should start asking. We almost built a $1 million dollar home in East Cobb before myself and another family member were stopped and were treated terribly. I had also called to VOLUNTEER in the Cobb County court system to help struggling children and Michael Figueras didn't find the time to return both of my calls. Happy to be in the beautiful, GRATEFUL city of Roswell where even the sanitation department has time to return calls with a great outlook. We are even more happy at Cobb's lost revenue considering we didn't buy the land to build the house to pay Cobb taxes. They also lost out in sales tax as this county will never be our stomping ground.
I just want to say that the DA is doing an incredible job. I believe Ross is guility as sin.
But the DA's non-stop coughing is very distracting and being poorly managed. He coughed all over the Det when he was close to him during direct. He needs something to stop the coughing as it is very annoying and distracting.

Who ever answered the phone is so unhelpful called to speak with an attorney got transferred to a voice mail, when I called back and asked if she's out for the day I got an "I dont know" and a long pause. SO UNHELPFUL!!!! Cobb County has got to do better with who they let answer their phones.
