Standard. A tour of the studios, visiting a recording room, green screen, etc. Too expensive for what it is. It may be worth it once in a lifetime if one does not visit many television studios.

If you are looking for a great tour....this is definitely the place to start! The check-in is tedious due to high security, but it adds a valuable level of comfort. I loved the tour that I will be visiting again in the future!

While we appreciate they squeezed us in to the last tour, the guide was very unhelpful. We had a person with a disability and a toddler in a stroller. We took the elevator tour because of this. They made us wake up the toddler who was sleeping in the stroller because it was not allowed. When we asked why, if we were taking the elevator tour with a person in a wheelchair, we couldn t also keep the toddler in the stroller the guide was not empathetic at all and dismissed us saying those were the rules, not even making an effort. The tour doesn t take you to any real studios or news areas. History facts shared during the tour were greatly lacking. We basically spent 40 minutes going up and down hallways with very little details about anything. At the end the guide even sent us to an escalator that wasn t even working when we couldn t all fit in the elevator and we offered (those of able to) to take the stairs and meet up with them at the next stop. Overall, very disappointed.

The visit is not worth the price. When we arrived just at the opening, we were therefore just ten to go around. 1 hour tour forecast. After 40 minutes everything was over. You can see rooms through windows, no interior photos possible and the guide speaks so fast that if you are not completely bilingual you will not understand anything. Very disappointing.

The tour was ok. Not sure if it was worth $15. I wish we could saw more CNN personalities. Best part of the 55 minute tour was we were right outside the studio room where they were recording live on TV.

I was with a unprofessional tour guide during my visit. He was grumpy and seems like force to do his job. I can't said the tour is unworthy perhaps you get different experiences with other tour guide. I hope CNN could really hired those people with passions to conduct the tour so that the real CNN spirit can be fully reveal infront of visitors.

I expected so much more...you really don't see much: a mockup studio; a research room that looks like any other office anywhere in the corporate world and a promotional video why we should watch CNN. Seriosly? Disappointing to say the least.

A lot underwhelming. The tour wasn t very interesting. Just a a lot of walking and peeking through windows of the offices where people are working behind desks. I m glad I didn t pay for this on its own. It was part of the City Pass package. But it s nice to see the center where it all started.

Nothing special. I was disappointed unfortunately. Everyone has already seen a green weather wall and seeing empty TV studios from the outside is not really exciting. Unfortunately the tour could not convince me.

Our guide, Ryan, was excellent. She was well-informed and highly knowledgable about the inner workings of CNN. We learned a lot, met wonderful people, and had a great time. Highly recommend the VIP tour.

It was educational. Very short. If you're out of shape you might be left behind by the group but thankfully there's security all over that keeps everyone in line and none lost.
The time I went an HLN news story was being reported. It actually makes you wish at the end of the day that you could've toured TBS.

Oh what a great place to learn so much, watch live news in action, climb the tallest escalator, eat some good and healthy food, buy some stuff with CNN logo, may be a t-shirt or mug. They have something for everyone. Get one photo taken with the classic CNN huge logo outside the building. A great and happening place to watch games on TV while have a drink!

I had a really fun time at the CNN Studio Tours. I enjoyed learning about the history of the building - for example that it used to be a roofless set of buildings that all got combined. I got to see the worlds longest escalator, and I got to learn more about the creation and production of news casting. This was definitely one of my trip highlights.

Since we had some time in Atlanta before we took our flight the next day, we went to Atlanta downtown to spend the afternoon. Went into CNN HQ building without any serious plans and found this tour was available. We took this interesting tour which is of approx 1 hour duration. Photo opportunities are restriced to the first 20 minutes or so and don't go there to click some newsroom shots, as it is not permitted, and moreover they don't take us inside newsrooms. However we saw a live news happening from outside of the studio. Got to know some real interesting stuff about newsrooms.

Ok

Felt rushed (and a bit luck-dependent).

Felt rushed (and a bit luck-dependent).

They say up front that the tour is 50 minutes. Not mentioned is that 50 minutes includes waiting in line to get photos in front of a green screen, waiting in a TV room while others do the same, long travel times between limited locations, and a 5 minute "CNN is really great" video at the end.

The part that might have been the most interesting to me would have been listening in to the control room and watching the monitors as they switch between cameras. Except in the 20 seconds we actually listened, they were playing an external feed so literally nothing was said. Perhaps another group would have been luckier. But I would have waited around 20 minutes to actually get some behind-the-scenes info. No such opportunity here.

Next was a demonstration of Green Screen. A fine thing to include, but not impressive enough these days to be a highlight.

They we progressed down several floors, staying in public areas and looking through windows at studios and the news room. This is the bulk of the tour, and while some studios may be working and others not, the time and limited angle reduce what can be observed anyway. There are tidbits like the cost of robotic cameras, but you are very literally just peeking in a window.

The last bit was a view over the food court with some history of the building and the fact that the escalator we went up in the beginning is the longest freestanding one in the world. Neat facts, but you're not seeing anything you couldn't have seen without the tour.

Overall maybe you'll be luckier (or your tour guide a bit more enthusiastic). But I felt the tour wasn't worth $15 and mainly rushed people through to try to sell them $30-40 photos at the end. Go in the building and wander around the public areas, but consider the tour optional.
