The care was fine but the communication with the family was horrible. Absolutely no information given to the people who will be taking care of the individual after they leave the hospital. Do not look to this hospital to give recommendations, referrals or suggestions on what type of facility your loved one should be recovering in. Once they're medically clear to leave you will be 100% on your own. Edit - Thanks for providing the general number for the hospital that I've been calling numerous times a day for the past week to get answers??? If you were actually concerned about how to improve you'd think you would provide an extension number or direct line to someone. Nice to know the staff cares about the patients and the management cares about absolutely nothing.

Don't even bother coming here. They only care about money and don't care if you actually get better. I was traumatized by this hospital.

Had surgery with an overnight stay. Everyone was very professional, the facility was well kept and clean. All care givers did everything they could to make my stay go as well as possible. I have no complaints whatsoever about my surgery or my stay.

I would be giving just one star, but Kayla from the Resource Team brought up my score. My mother was admitted for testing and observation to make sure she was not having a stroke. She did not get a lunch tray so I told her nurse, and she replied that she knew and was working on it. I had to go buy her lunch at 1:40 (Lunch was supposed to be given at 12pm). We never got an apology or explanation. The nurse never even asked if she could get my mom a snack or anything!! Later my mom asked for some ice water, the same nurse said she would get it. After waiting about 15 minutes I went to check and she was looking at the computer, so I asked the male nurse at the desk, but she replied we are working on it . The man did bring her water, but seriously no lunch, WHAT IF I WAS NOT THERE? My mom would have went hungry and thirsty. She was released after 6pm, and still no food. But again Kayla when you came to transport her, your great attitude put a smile on both our faces. You were sweet, funny, and just a pleasure! I hope Atrium realizes what a special person they have working for them! I just wish my mother s nurse could have shown her the same care that you did. Thank you again for everything!!!

Not only is the staff rude but if you want to sit somewhere for over 4 hours and have a chance of catching covid then this would be the hospital for you

My husband was admitted to Atrium Huntersville ER Sept 18th, 2021 for a heart attack for 4 DAYS!! YUP, FOUR DAYS. He was finally transported via ambulance to University Hospital for 1 day (because the ER needed a BED), THEN after 22 hours at University, they moved him to Cabarrus at 4pm EST and he had a 1 hour surgery to put in a stint and do other exploratory operations, then they kicked him out 12 hours later. His Blood Pressure was high, he was very anxious and in a lot of pain. They DID NOT CARE! After I took him home, I noticed he was shaking from anxiety, and sweating terribly. I called the surgeon, Dr KROLL's team and left several messages but no one replied for 3 days, and still did nothing to help him. 7 days later, here we are today and he is having a severe reaction to whatever they did to him and when he went to the ER today AFTER I called them and asked them to tell Dr. Kroll, they did an EKG and sent him home. This place is a disgrace.
Be warned and find another cardiac hospital to care for your loved ones.

One of their anesthesiologists was seen on TikTok spouting antivaxx and anti mask rhetoric. It was misleading and dangerous as well as highly uneducated. This Dr. could end up really hurting somebody

if Dr Scott does not work for Atrium, then please what company does he work for? It is my right as a public patient to know this information. Either way he is still working in this hospital and needs to be fired. DO NOT DELETE THIS

if your smart don t go here . They Will kill you on a ventilator. They care about money . Please don t take your love ones here . They will treat your love one as a experiment. Would not recommend!! You been worn !!

They sent me home when I had covid after I had waited 10 hours in the waiting room. Really? Just a nebulizer for double pneumonia? I could ve done that at home for free my guy. I would suggest going to Novant health. At least there they didn t send me home to almost die.
