My favorite club in Amsterdam. Great staff, great music, friendly bartenders. Amazing!

Once gay club where you could be yourself and make nice contacts. Now a freakhouse where bachelor parties are given by drunken Britons. Balance in visitors is completely gone. Too bad for the Reguliers, Too bad for Amsterdam

They said I had 1-2 drank to much I cant t get in the staff was incredible stiff I wouldn t recommed this club!

For a gay space, this doesn't cater to gay people one bit! Went there last night and was just bombarded by straight people. People gave me dirty looks and made me feel unwanted in my own space. I think this club should make sure that if they call themselves a "gay bar" that it should ensure that everyone in the LGBTQIA community is safe.

For me to walk in and have an altercation with plenty of straight people who shamed me for dancing is unacceptable. Please make sure that the gay ratio is higher because it was more straight people than gay!

Very cool club in Amstersam. We had an amazing time. Music is amazing, you'll have 3 rooms with different genres you can pick from. We didn't wait for too long on the queue either.

The club is baias and resist, don't go if you r not local

Nice place totally different to anything I have ever seen the main dancefloor is good with loud punchy sound and good low end, smart setup for the toilet area as well - very European would be better if door price wasn't so high or included locker hire

This club makes your night out unforgettable, with great events and a good selection of music. The disadvantage is that it can get pretty stuffy, maybe a better air supply is needed.

The bouncer should be totally ashamed of himself. I was denied entry being told it is only for "familiar face" on a Friday night. How did he know that I'm not a familiar face? There was no check on the computer system. Did he know all the customers on that day? Obviously No!

He had denied me from entering based on the fact that I'm Chinese. This is pure racism and very disgusting.

This a disgrace to the LGBT community and the business should be boycotted.

Absolutely amazing !!! Two rooms with different music plus a DJ in the bathroom. Atmosphere was brilliant, lots of choices of drinks from the many bars inside the club, including the bathroom. Very friendly staff. Prices, of course, are what you'd expect from a club in the middle of Amsterdam. Word of advice, go there around 00:00, as that is when all the rooms open. Enjoy and have fun. P.S. You most likely might get hit on, whether you're a guy or a gal, by a guy or a gal or both

We have a stamp and stand in line for half an hour .... the door policy is HEAVY k * t .. sad arrogance. Just don't come here

Honestly the best club I have been to in all cities, coming from london I wish we had a gem like this club. As a queer environment it felt like almost a community vibe was going on, worth the visit.

Stunning experience. Everything I could have ever dreamed of in more. One of the best spots in Amsterdam. Highly recommend attending if you can get on a list.

Nice atmosphere and music, but very narrow and crowded.

Small and quirky venue but hell of a experience.. been there on Spring Breaks good DJ selection and okay prices .. must see as a part of party tour in Amsterdam.. just to mention quite compact not much room .. sound system could improved .. other than most see !

I am 35 years old Danish guy.. and 20 minutes ago the doorman wouldn t let me in to Club NYX.. saying I was to drunk.. sorry Club NYX but seriously?!? This was a hate crime against a danish hetero-normative gay guy!! Don t go to that club!!

The hip hop/rnb room is for people who don t know what that means.

The club is awesome with great music, funky interior and cheap drinks. But considering there are only 1/5th of gay ppl inside, and the rest is girls and stag parties, it's not really a gay club if that's what you're looking for :(

We were not allowed to enter because we didnt know what kind of event is happening, that was strange...

If you can, please avoid or be careful. The bouncers tend to be extremely aggressive (one of them broke my wrist), and the managers will not acknowledge these faults.
Personally, inside is nice (not amazing). Not worth the hype, corruption and violence.

The club has 3 different floors. Even the security guards are nice (compared to Paris, it feels nice). You have to go there if you want to experience a gay night in Amsterdam!

Nice club where everyone is welcome. There is a good atmosphere. There are 3 levels with different levels of music. There is even a DJ in the bathroom.

I was there on Friday, there was only African music

idiot club taking 10ppls to there with their event tickets and they refuse as just because one of us looks like drunk.

best place on earth. i came here for NYE & NYD 2019/20 and i literally had the time of my life. everyone is so lovely and carefree and so great to talk to, the staff are amazing literally all of them. i can t compare this club to any i ve ever been to, if you need somewhere to let yourself go, be yourself and just have the time of your life without feeling judged THIS is the place. trust me.

Unfriendly staff. Halloween Night. Lockers are 2, i inserted 1 and 1 coin, locker didn't work still. I asked a member of staff, he was very rude, arrogant and unhelpful, saying it was my own fault! Later when my friend arrived, a different member of staff was there, she was very polite and apologised on behalf of her rude male colleague. She mentioned that only a whole 2 coin can be used, so in the end i had to spend 4 for a locker that would fit an adult guinea pig. Get signs made, easy solution! I also see there are many other reviews here complaining about the staff. I will never recommend NYX to anyone.
Furthermore it felt overcrowded, left after 1 hour.

Great for dancing, clubbing and having an amazing time

Really fun club with 3 levels of dancing. Unique bathroom on the third floor is centered around a DJ. Don t miss the illuminated walkway to the smoking room. Coat service via lockers.

Hot club with open mindset and various styles and themes. R&B, hip-hop, Dance Hall

Bad experience at the cloakroom getting jacket back. Item was missing from it. No apologies. The girl who was the manager and the main guy with headsets on working at the cloakroom were not understanding and were unhelpful. Very unhuman experience which left a bitter taste in my mouth. Everyone we came across to in all the shops, restaurants and bars in Amsterdam were the most helpful, friendliest and kindest people we've ever met. But not those 2 robots working at Club NYX. Shame on them!

My opinion of Nyx has greatly changed. I went here a handful of times when I first moved to Amsterdam and I didn t really have a good time. But I went last night for the 3x event and it was AMAZING. The music was great, everyone was having a good time and the staff was very helpful. It IS a very popular and crowded club, so be prepared to get real close to ppl and possibly have a drink or two bumped onto you. It happens. And although it is marketed as a gay bar it is definitely filled with A LOT of straight people and couples.
I m not sure what the other events are like there but I will definitely be returning for the next 3x night!

Faced the warmth of racism when I first visited in 2019. From the crowd to the patrons it was evident we weren't Invited. Perhaps that's the same in AMS!!!

I think we got turned away (after queueing for half an hour) because we didn't look gay enough. Cool inclusivity

The guards treat you terribly. Even though we had payed for the ticket we were not allowed back in. On top of that they threatened my friends to hurt them if they continued to complain and even assaulted one of them. Stay away from this place. The club itself is pretty mediocre as well. Much better places in Amsterdam.

The place is nice yet clouded. But honestly, the only place to be on Saturdays is the toilet. They put the best, not bubbling pop remix of every song remix, in the toilet!
People where amused on the first two floors, but where amused to see us dancing in the toilet, acknowledging the best music was there although it was awkward for them to dance around pissoires.

One of the best place for gays and lesbians with a lots of young audience and good music. Its a dance club actually.

music was absolutely amazingggg, expensive drinks and entry but honestly worth it because the atmosphere in here was insane. would definitlety reccommend for a night of dancing the entire time!
