I took my mom to emergency service on 4/29/21 due to a sudden swollen leg and dizziness symptoms. My mother has lupus & kidney problems and she only speaks Spanish. They told me that I couldn't come in and that they were going to help her and provide someone that speaks Spanish. She was there for 6 hours and when she got home, her information said she had vertigo and no mention on the swollen leg, in fact they incorrectly put that she got leg pain which she hasn't. She was not treated for her symptoms and the reasons for her visit were all wrong. Don't expect to go emergency help when you go to Clovis Community Medical Center, because you won't. They just expected you to go home and die. They make it so hard to look up for your lives one and they take advantage that they are not letting someone else to go in with the patient.

My mother had knee surgery on 3-16-21. On behalf of my mother she told me that the Dr and staff were very nice and polite. For my mother to mention that is nice to hear. Thank you Clovis Community Hospital for taking care of my mother. You guys are the best. Keep up the excellent work you do. As of 3-17-21 mom is doing great. Take care. Jess

I went into the ER because for the past three days I could not sleep. Something kept stirring me up as I was about to fall asleep, and if I did manage to fall asleep, I'd wake up soon after, heart pounding. One night I didn't even get so much as a second a sleep and started to have auditory hallucinations accompanied by minor visual hallucinations. In short, I did not get quality care here. Just an indifferent doctor whom did not want to spend the time to get a proper diagnosis. Their solution? Benadryl. I was discharged. I immediately sought care elsewhere, and was diagnosed with sleep apnea; my brain was keeping me awake since I would stop breathing in the night, registering it as a danger. I am in good care now and am glad I can put those harrowing nights behind me. I would not recommend this ER in the least. I gained nothing from it, aside from my own observation that I was able to doze off a little by sitting up versus lying down and because of that posture change my breathing continued a bit more steadily though far from perfect. But that was my own discovery- to which I do not credit this establishment.

I was recently brought to Clovis Community. As busy as they were with COVID they got me in right away. They found me a room and helped me with everything I needed since family was not allowed. I felt so comfortable and cared for even without my hubby by my side. Thank you Clovis Community!

My 97 year-old grandmother had a procedure done at Clovis Community, last week. They gave her something that made her have loose stools, then ignored her when she called for help, because they wouldn't let her get up on her own. She soiled herself at least 3 times, because they would not come in to help her. This is a woman who lives on her own, because she's still very strong. They wouldn't let her get up and move around "because she was on a COVID floor". They say that they care about the health of their patients, but when I asked them, they said there are COVID patients all over the hospital "on every floor". They risked her life, as part of one of the most at risk group, and it's unacceptable. They were rude to my sweet grandmother. I know why their ranking is only 2 stars, now. No one related to me will ever go to their hospital again. Their "service" is despicable!

I don't know how the hospital was like before the ...

I don't know how the hospital was like before the pandemic but our family had a horrible experience there. My mom was brought by the ambulance to the hospital but took a couple of hours to get admitted. While my mom was waiting she developed a fever and was not cared for while she waited. My mom does not speak English and no family members was allowed to be with her due to COVID so wee requested an interpreter. She was not provided an interpreter for days because my mon would call us to let us know her needs and pains and ask if we can call the hospital. My mom would tell us that whenever she press the button for a nurse because she is not feeling well or need help, no one would come check on her for hours. She was hooked up on machines and could not go use the bathroom by herself so she had an accident and was in her soiled for hours. My mom would tell us she's hungry and thirsty all the time and no one would assist her because she's too weak to feed or drink herself. When she was able to drink herself, she removed her mask to drink a sip of water because she was too thirsty. We were on zoom with her at the time and the nurse came in the room to fix her mask and yelled at her for drinking water and said, "That's why you don't take off the mask" with a not very nice tone of voice. Eventually, my mom did not want to stay at the hospital anymore and wanted to come home because she said she is not being treated nice or taken care of at all at the hospital. She was in the hospital for almost two weeks and eventually passed away. What a horrible experience for my mom and eventually died and extremely sad that's the last memory my mom had before she die. I can go on but I really hope that no one will get to have a horrible experience at this hospital like us. I hope the hospital and their staff will remember what it means to be humans and treat their patients and families better. I thank the staffs that were kind and made it comfortable for their patients and my mom.

My son went to Clovis Community for surgery (to repair a severely broken tibia). He was in so much pain and very, very anxious about surgery. Every single staff member spent extra time comforting my son, answering questions, and supporting him through the process. From the person at the front desk all the way up the chain to the lead surgeon, everyone went above and beyond. We were very appreciative.
