Great experience from the sales department and the Finance person! All our needs taken care of and they where very patient with us. We had a little bit of a different experience with the service department. They seemed to not want to assist us when we asked for help with the door code, but it may have just been that they got very busy. Also, I asked about purchasing an extra key for the care we bought, and the guy in the parts department acted like I was flat out bothering him. This is the only reason it wasn t 5 stars.

Everyone friendly and courteous especially my advisor Brandon he was very helpful and professional. He did a great job explaining and keep me updated on my vehicle repairs. Nice waiting area to sit in while waiting on your vehicle.

Great experience on a used truck purchase! The staff was professional and courteous, and the vehicle was as advertised. The most impressive thing about the Cloninger experience was the fact they wouldn't deliver the vehicle on the scheduled delivery date because they found some issues during their point inspection system and didn't want it moving off the lot until all issues were addressed! This is reputation you don't find at your average used car lot. I look forward to doing business with them again!

My salesperson, Johnny, was knowledgeable about each vehicle, and friendly. I told him right up front that I was not buying that day but test driving and eliminating different vehicles from my list. He understood and respected that. I wound up buying a great new car from him that evening after testing some elsewhere, too.

I went in for the works (oil change/tire rotation/...

I went in for the works (oil change/tire rotation/12 million point check) because it's the best value for oil change and tire rotation, and I utilize Ford service to accurately maintain service records for my extended warranty.
Firstly, every time I go there it takes a minimum of 4 hours for this service, and most times longer for their "quick lane" service.
Secondly, they always try and up-sale me on my service with insane pricing; ie: in-cabin filter for $99.00 (normally $10), wiper blades for $60+ (normally $35-40), brakes for $400.00 plus (not bad but still high), lower control arm for $800.00 plus ($120 part). I'm not saying these didn't need service, or weren't close to service time, but this pricing is crazy. Additionally, while I'm waiting all this time, I notice they are able to up-sale multiple unknowing individuals, mostly women and older individuals. I believe it is just bad business to take advantage of individuals who are unaware of their vehicles operation.

UPDATE***
After a follow up discussion with management, I was told that these service prices were book prices, and non negotiable. Specifically we discussed the lower control arm that pays a book time of 2 hours, period, and this was a service that I performed in my garage with basic tools in 30 minutes. We also discussed that during "the works" special the labor is payed to check all filters. If they are able to up-sale anyone, they then charge again for the labor to replace the filter, in turn, double charging for labor. Management also stated that this is also a non-negotiable rate. Lastly, and I think most disappointingly, I wasn't offered any sort of reconciliation. No coupon, discount, slightly reduced charge, stick of gum, wink and a wave, nothing. I will take my service to another ford dealership.

I had an awesome experience buying an Explorer at Cloninger Ford of Hickory. I worked with a sales person named Kyle. Super friendly, honest, knowledgeable and helped me get exactly what I wanted. Kyle even went to another Cloninger to pick up the Explorer I saw online. I didn t realize it wasn t at the hickory location. He went above and beyond to say the least.
I also worked with another sales person named Thomas who showed me how to get the most of my Explorer with all the bells and whistles. Thomas was also extremely easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.
Overall I can t say enough good things about the staff and greatly appreciate their effort and friendliness. I am a really indecisive person especially on such a big purchase, and I never felt pressured. They made it such an great and easy process.

Melanie did an amazing job taking care of me. She was pleasant and great to work with. She gave a detailed explanation of what we were going to do regarding my maintenance on my car and I felt as if she really wanted to help. I haven t gotten that from some of the others. I m glad to have gotten her as my maintenance liaison. The team did what i expected and my car runs amazing now!! Next time I come, I m asking for her!

Went there to help a friend pick up a used car she'd bought. Clean, gorgeous show room. When we discovered the car had a noise, they agreed to fix it for her and DELIVERED it, 200 miles away!

Steve always gives great customer service.
The service on my 2019 F-250 was done in a professional timely manner. The service Dept at Cloninger Ford Hickory NC is the best around anywhere. And BTW they have an great shuttle service with an awesome shuttle driver!!
