Great experience at the hotel's parties on a Frida...
Great experience at the hotel's parties on a Friday night. Crowd seemed to be late-20's & early 30's.

Terrible rooms. No help at the front desk. Walls are paper thin. Everything looked cheap. Not worth the money.
Good spot.. most of the workers are very funny and loose, its good for a few drinks while chilling
Good spot to watch a game at the bar inside & eat. Chill vibe. Nothing too crazy. Service was good. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was kind of a regular experience. Nothing out of this world.
Excellent two-night stay, 2016 Memorial Day weekend. Perfect location with friendly and helpful staff. I was able to get two $400/night rooms for for $200/per night, per room. I want to thank the front desk staff for being so helpful and accommodating us so quickly, after having a very bad experience at a previous hotel down the street . Hotel location is perfect, right on Ocean Drive where all the action and nightlife happens. Free breakfast and a small but very clean swimming pool. We were able to use both facilities. The hotel, in general, was very clean, the bathrooms are spacious with clean extra towels and a lot of closet space. We called room service a couple times and the service was prompt and impeccable. If anyone is visiting South Beach, I would strongly recommend this hotel. It will be my first choice when I return.
Went to the bar to watch a football game great place to watch.
The bar is full of conniving and deceitful employees. They swapped bottles and prices and manually entered credit card information without knowledge or consent from me for over $1,800 over what I asked or agreed upon with my server to bring to my table. I would never use a credit card or recommend to go there again.
Awesome place to drink, party, and people watch! Beautiful.
I didn t stay at the hotel but I ate the food and it s awful the service is awful as well. The server added chicken when I didn t want it but that s fine I tried it anyways the chicken tastes like straight up tuna, she didn t ask if everything was fine I paid 50$ for a drink and an app that I didn t even like. Just awful
Great hotel. Awesome view of the beach. Employees are very professional
Small gym and pool, but really nice, clean hotel. The staff if really nice and helpful .I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in Miami!
Bartenders definitely know how to make drinks and keep 'em coming - can't beat the vibe, people and views.
The people working behind the front desk are the only reason I gave it a 3 star. They were always willing to answer our 5000 questions and point us in directions to go around Miami. But do not eat here if you want good service. Our waitress was absolutely rude to us the entire time we were there. When we asked a question she gave us a dirty look and never once came back to get us more refills on our drinks (both alcoholic and non). We came in the afternoon once we got off the plane so there wasn't a lot of customers there at this time. We found gems from her nails in our drinks. It probably wouldn't be an issue if there wasn't already a 20% gratuity added to bill. So I basically paid her to be rude to us.
I was there for millennium new years and it was forever memorable, Both the bar and hotel are top notch destinations,
Passing from Chicago great place. Beautiful ladies
So much fun here I loved this place. I just wish they had a better place for people to put down their things if they want to go into the pool, dance etc
Horrible, I became a victim of racism for the first time in my life. The latin manager who worked on Saturday April 18th 2015 at midnight is very racist. He just didn't like us and called the police on us saying that we were trespassing, note well we paid and had receipts and everything. I should have known they didn't want much black people as initially they would not accept one of my ids, saying that its just their policy to not accept that type of id, an authentic id given by the Unites States Government, wow....Horrible food and drinks anyway, the only thing going on for the Clevelander is the music which of course if you want a restful night's sleep, its definitely not the place for you.
We only know the outdoor bar which is great because just outside and well kept. We can also eat in the snack style at this bar. RAS, pleasant moments, efficient and trendy service.
Bar scene is great, food awesome. Spent may of times at the Clevelander with a bunch of friends! Always a good time!
Roof top terrace has a nice view of the ocean and the Miami skyline. Iconic place.
Very very BAD EXPERIENCE, after we spend 926$, the security says ,to leave the bar, answer why?,he say no comment, and after that he call us "LET'S GO BICHES", the only name I now is "GONZO", , the Rude guy who say that he doesn't wanna say his name, was a big guy in black shirt, he says is a manager, I asked his name, he answered : you are not the cop,I don't wanna to give my name ", the worst experience. ... Avoid that club,
This place is too much fun!! Great daytime vibes on the weekends! Love to party here
Not many places to sit but great service and good drinks
Rooftop party was nice dj played nice music and it was free
The drinks were good and so as the atmosphere, but not customer service. My husband and I waited 30 Mins For someone to come take our order. Unfortunately, no one came to ask if we were being taken care of. After waiting for a while, we decided to walk to the bar and order our own drinks. The waiter kept walking passed us and never stopped to ask if we need help or If we want the menu. We left after we finished with our drinks.
Went for lunch. Being a Tuesday afternoon thought it d be a little quieter and service a little faster (I m from NY).
The restaurant is extremely overpriced even for the area. A mojito was $17 (picture included). It was pretty weak (and small!) and had the alcohol floated on top instead of being mixed in. The menu was a bit misleading. I thought the bacon, avocado and cheese together were $3, not each on a $20 burger. So the burger went to $27 pretty fast. Had to be redone because the entire plate was cold upon serving.
They may calculate their tax a bit creatively. Bill x Sales Tax rate = sub1. Sub1 x Resort tax = sub2. Sub2 x 18% gratuity = total due. I really can t stand auto-tipping. There s no incentive for a server to go above and beyond for great service.
Not a place I d go back to anytime soon.
I use to come here back in the Mid 2000''s. It was awesome then. I heard some of the best musicians here. Recently visited and it was just different. Still a place to go to BUT just different.
I didn't like their wings.over all Service was Great
Went there to drink. Pretty nice location. Waitresses were really friendly. Just little over priced even for happy hour but had a good time.
We had drinks and they were good. The service was awesome and the music was good too
All I can say is wow. Best bar hands down in South Beach. Maddddd love to all that work there
May have been the worst night of my life in the worst hotel I've ever stayed. Old, dirty hotel with very small expensive room with party music blaring until 5 am.
Just passed by and decided to grab a couple of drinks. The servers were all friendly and the atmosphere was great.
Great location if you have a ocean view room! The entertainment at the bar below the hotel is a show stopper but very loud day and night
So much fun and the food was amazing. Drinks are a little expensive but overall an amazing time
They always have great music spinning and people on the dancefloor. This is by far top 3 favorite places to go dancing on Ocean Drive. (club dancing, not salsa dancing). The drinks are also well prepared and about what you'd expect to pay in South Beach.
Best location for spring break. They host parties every night. Drinks are pricy, but good
Not only one of the hottest hotels in Miami, but also a nightlife destination with multiple bar options for partying the night away. Order the Raging Bull drink for a real treat.
I only spent some time in the pool/patio area. Fun outdoor atmosphere on the patio, with good music. Drinks are priced at what you'd expect for South Beach. Drinks hovered in the $8-14 range. Could be worse but for the trend factor of this place, it's fairly expected. Servers and bartenders were friendly If you want to hit the sand, it's about a 5 minute walk and fairly easy to get to.
Trendy SoBe spot with good bar service. Music is loud but ok for an open area. Gets overcrowded often.
I live on the other side of the state so Miami is like 2 hours away from my front door. I go like 3 or 4 times a year. I ALWAYS go to the Clevelander. The outdoor Bars have a pool right next to them. When my buddies and I get there we all bet 20 bucks whether or not somebody is gonna accidently fall in the pool. I've seen it happen twice. Both times it was fantastic.
So get to the beach early and catch some rays. Then around 2 head over to the Clevelander. Its always a good time.
The Clevelander South Beach Hotel is an amazing place to stay over night, great sports bar and amazing front pool bar and dance patio. The rooms are nice and clean, a bit small for 2 beds with 3 people; so I do not know how it would work with four people. In addition, the bathrooms could use a bit more work, maybe improvement with privacy and fixing the shower to prevent flooding the entire room. I think the hotel should look into google promoting their stay as free breakfast and parking with other amenities and not specifying what requirements or if this is even true. Although, the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and kind. They provide any assistant that you may need and the bar tenders are beautiful, lol. Overall, The Clevelander is where the party is at on Ocean Drive when everything else is closing.
Headed to the Cleveland for drinks prior to and event on the rooftop. The service and drinks were great, but the food was pretty normal. Overall great atmosphere and perfect for a fun day by the beach.
Don't take anything valuable if you stay here. We checked into the Essex House the evening of Sunday, November 3rd, 2019. I changed out of my black $200 Asics gel running shoes in the room to go have a drink. When I checked out the next morning, I don't remember seeing my shoes anywhere. We dropped by the hotel 4 days later once we got back to Miami and their attitude was 'Oh, you left your shoes here over a week ago, they're gone." I asked to speak with a Manager, same attitude. My guess is the housekeeper is walking around in my favorite, most comfortable shoes. Sure it's a great location, but I've stayed in nicer 2 star Best Westerns. Definitely no free breakfast, and this place does not deserve a 3 star rating with the junky furniture and outdated bathrooms.
Attended for an event on the rooftop. Great view of the beach. Thought it was a bit small though got the event
Best Miami vice on the beach. Great music vibe is cool if the tourist don't get wasted. French fries are the best too
The outdoor area at the Clevelander is great. Tons of sports, all the kinds of drinks you can want on Miami Beach.
Great drinks awesome atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back.
Awesome place to stay in miami. Just in front of the beach. Night time celebrations are rad. Theres great offers during happy hours. Food is delicious. The rooms are a little smaller than usual. But very well maintained and clean. A must visit.
The party was ON, ON, ON...The room was clean, very modern, the bed was definitely a plus, soft the way we liked it, the staff & front desk were very helpful in directing my group to the many different eateries, stores & where across South Beach where to go for a good time...
