Love my membership. With the rainforest, there's something to do with the kids year-round
Very disappointing. Many empty display areas. You have to walk a mile of nothing to see a few pitiful animals. The Cleveland Zoo has managed to scam a lot of money for a long time from a lot of people with little to show for it. It is a ghost of what it was in the 80's. They need new, understandable maps too.
The Cleveland Zoo is always putting together amazing family friendly experiences. This year the Lantern Festival was absolutely show stopping. I highly recommend this zoo. For all year!
Tuns of people standing in large crowds not wearing a mask even in the buildings they pull them down to their neck
It was like going for the first time with new exhibits and wonderful Asian lanterns!
Loved the zoo. The animals looked to be well taken care of. Nice, clean park!
The Cleveland Zoological Society is a non-profit organization that serves as the advocate and partner of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The society's primary goal is to raise awareness of the zoo as a community priority, improve all aspects of the zoo, from exhibits to programs to daily operations, and provide visitors, members, and donors with great value for their investment.
The Cleveland Zoological Society was founded in 1957 by a group of dedicated individuals who recognized the need for an organization that would support and promote the zoo. Since then, it has grown into one of the most respected zoological societies in the country.
One of the society's main objectives is to support conservation efforts both locally and globally. It does this by funding research projects aimed at protecting endangered species and their habitats. Additionally, it provides educational programs that teach people about conservation issues and how they can help make a difference.
Another important aspect of the society's work is its commitment to improving all aspects of the zoo. This includes everything from upgrading exhibits to enhancing visitor experiences through new programs and events. The society also works closely with zoo staff to ensure that animals are well-cared for and have access to state-of-the-art facilities.
In addition to its advocacy work on behalf of animals, The Cleveland Zoological Society also plays an important role in promoting tourism in Northeast Ohio. By working closely with local businesses and organizations, it helps attract visitors from around the world who come not only for a chance to see exotic animals but also experience all that this vibrant region has to offer.
Overall, The Cleveland Zoological Society is an essential partner for anyone who cares about animal welfare or wants to support efforts aimed at preserving our planet's natural resources. Whether you're looking for ways to get involved or simply want more information about what they do – be sure not miss out on this incredible opportunity!
